The front desk was very friendly and fast!
The hotel is a number of buildings almost more like a lodge than a large hotel which is far nicer than one big building. The parking was convenient located in front of each building and the room was clean and well maintained.
Stayed here only for 2 nights to ski Killington with my teens.
The 1 bedroom suite with a kitchen was cheap compared to anything on the mountain or compared to Airbnbs. I was worried with some of the reviews but it was fine.
Pros-
Suite was a great size for a family. Two queen beds and a fold out couch
Plenty of room for ski stuff
Kitchen for snacks, leftovers, drinks was nice
Breakfast offerings were not bad
The staff WAS SO NICE....honestly....very lovely people working the desk when I was there and the place was PACKED with high school groups for a ski trip.
Lots of parking
Close to Killington and plenty of places to get food in Rutland
Cons-
The bathroom was old school Best Western. You get the point.
Place was clean-ish...but not amazingly so.
Some outlets didn't work
Location was great. we were in town from Maryland for a wedding at mountain top resort. your breakfast was awesome. staff great.
I liked it all
We stayed here for a ski trip with our two children and overall had a fantastic experience. The value for the price is hard to beat.
The Room:
The room was excellent—very spacious and easily accommodated up to 6 people with two double beds and a pull-out sofa in the living room. Having a kitchen was a huge plus, though it was missing a few basics like salt, pepper, and a large baking tray for the oven. One thing to note is that housekeeping is only provided upon request, which felt a bit unusual but wasn't a major issue once we knew.
Location & Logistics:
The hotel is about a 20-minute drive from the ski resort. It’s not right on the slopes, but it’s a manageable distance. Pro tip: Make sure your car is well-equipped for snow, as the drive can be tricky if the weather turns.
Facilities & Food:
The breakfast was okay, though we didn't end up going most mornings. The only real downside was the lack of a pool, which was a bit disappointing for the kids after a long day of skiing.
Summary:
Despite the minor missing kitchen items and the lack of a pool, we give this a 9/10. The size of the room and the affordable price made it a perfect choice for our family. We would definitely stay here again!
To ride and ski Killington or Pico this location is amazing. It is close to everything. The mountains and all of the restaurants that are away from Rutland. You also can enter into the town of Rutland and have anything. The hotel is clean and cozy. The outside is well maintained during snow. The room I stayed in was immaculate. Breakfast included was warm and good, so was the coffee. Saved money and spent it at The Foundry ( great restaurant by Killington) The front desk and customer service people are fantastic. The people I encountered legitimately made me feel comfortable, respected and happy. I will be a repeating guest every time I hit the best east coast Mountain to ride. Killington. Enough said
I have stayed here before with a group and then, as now, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and pleasant. Stephen and Lisa work very hard to ensure a great stay for all of their guests. Breakfast was good and Tammy worked her tail off getting hot items out and cleaning up after teenagers who, frankly, could use a lesson in cleaning up after themselves. Although it's nice to stay right at Pico or Killington, it is NOT affordable. The BW offers a nice location between the resorts and the town of Rutland and is also driveable to Sugarbush and Okemo. The rooms are very clean and the fresh cookies at check-in were a nice touch. It is a good value, particularly during the week.
When it's really cold, it's nice to have a hotel that is accessed from the inside but that's just not the way the hotel is designed. It certainly wouldn't keep me from staying here again. In fact, although the temperatures were below zero, the room stayed nice and warm and the hot water was fast to come out.
Nice clean room
No sona
Breakfast was better than expected
Pool wash clean
Room was clean with everything needed
Ice was not available in our building
The room was super clean and the beds were very comfortable.
Coffee in the morning was ok and the waffles were good. Plenty of options for breakfast.
At 1:30 in the morning someone started banging on our window and door like they were trying to get in. We called 911 and also thr front desk and the police and front desk clerk showed up to escort the person away.
That was terrifying.
The next morning the manager told us that sometimes that happens.
Won’t stay here again.
We had a bug in the bed during the night and bugs in the bathroom the first night. We changed rooms and then found a bug inside a folded hand towel on the sink!! It was disgusting! We left after the second night. We were VERY disappointed!!
This is our second stay during this ski season! We love it here Tammy serves the best breakfasts!! Steve, was extremely helpful booking our rooms, Stella worked extra hard doing double duty at the front desk and handling breakfasts on Tammy’s days off!! And Amanda gave us some good advice regarding dining options we hadn’t ever tried ! Exceptional service once again !!
We have had a wonderful stay and we would like to make a special attention to Amanda and the manager Lisa. They were so kind and super nice to us.
great breakfast was just what we needed to start a long day at Killington. the ladies working the breakfast area were absolutely the best.
I can't seem to think of anything
