Friendly staff, partly renovated. Comfortable beds.
When I arrived the staff told me there was no hot water in my room, but they would move me the next day if the hot water was not turned on. When it still wasn't working the next day they moved me into another part of the hotel but it wasn't clear why they hadn't given me that room when I first arrived. The furniture and towels were not as clean as I would expect.
It's cute. Really nice exterior and very good price for what is offered. The room was clean and it felt cozy.
The walls are a little thin but it didn't bother me much I am a deep sleeper.
I had a place to sleep at night
The manager was beyond rude. Adversarial I would say. No hot water, I asked her when it would be fixed and she said "in a month you won't get cold water in Arizona" as if I were lucky. ( It was only the first week of April ) It never was fixed. fixtures hanging in bathroom. Smell of sewage. My sink stopper was stuck and it took a day and me asking three people for it to be fixed
Enjoyed the space, the cleanliness and the fact that they have a restaurant. They serve really good food!!! It’s not to far from downtown Tucson.
The food and the jacuzzi tub/shower! Not to mention the price was a good deal.
Size of the room and value for the price
No instructions for how to use tub/jacuzzi. No ice machine.
Location
The old lady at front desk kinda rude
Lovely place. It's totally out of the ordinary. We will return!
they were responsive when I needed extras the room was large and comfortable.
part of town was a little sketchy
Central
Overpriced
The room was big, the bed was clean, it was really quiet, the pool was very nice, the staff were nice. It was close to restaurants. It was a good price compared to nearby hotels.
The pillows were hard like folded blankets, the toilet was always running, floor was dirty.
Friendly staff, and Bumsted's bar/restaurant on the property was terrific!
Breakfast could have been much more "stocked." And there was no working ice machine on property.
Breakfast the worst I have had.
The room was a good size, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. And, the shower was good. A couple of chairs outside so we could sit there and have a cup of 6 a few stone tables further out to sit. We were only there for one night, so we couldn't give too much information.
I marked down the facilities and location, but that's not a downside because I did not use the facilities, and I was visiting family, so as we were there for 1 night before flying back to the UK, didn't really check out the location.
The front desk person was very kind and addressed our concerns quickly. BONUS...gave us an extra hour in the hot tub!
Oh where to start...walked into a room that looked as though the housekeeper ran for the hills mid-cleaning. The bed was not made and the comforter was in the floor. We requested another room. The bed was made in this room, but the floor clearly had been damaged by water and appeared dirty. Out of sheer curiosity, we wiped the floor with one of the towels. Not surprisingly, the towel went from white to a dingy brown/grey with just a few passes on the floor. Needless to say, shoes were a necessity if we were going to pitter patter around this room during the remainder of our stay here. Next up bedbug check...and BAM...they PASSED! No creepy crawlies in these sleeping quarters! Finally, we were awakened around 3am by a loud rapping on the door. We decided to act as though this was a real-life choose your own adventure book, and in our interrupted mid-REM brain fog, we decided to go for it and answered the door, forgetting that we were located in a questionable area. The gentleman at the door stood there, dazed and confused, but also appearing as though he was not at the wrong room and waiting for his invitation to join the party. Once my partner told him to GTFO, he left.
Needless to say, we will not be returning to this establishment.
The room was clean and comfortable. I had a suite with a sofa bed, and the bedding for it was in the room. Everything was in working order. The price was good for the area. There are lots of food choices close by and a restaurant on the property. All of the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Checking in was easy. I will stay again when I'm in the area. Overall, it was a positive experience. If you can't do stairs, make sure to get a room on the first floor because there are no elevators.
The door to the room was difficult to latch. The door fit was tight, so it had to be almost slammed, which I'm sure was annoying to other guests. There weren't enough towels and wash cloths in the room. The towels themselves were kind of thin and cheap.
