Payment, Deposit & Pre-Authorization:
Unless prior arrangements are in place, we will process payment for your stay on arrival to the hotel. The hotel requires a valid credit card to be presented upon check-in for the registering guest. The card should match the name of the reservation as made and must be presented for Chip & Pin verification. It is not possible to pre-pay for a third party guest due to GDPR and privacy restrictions. We reserve the right to receive payment or request pre-authorization of the full amount for the stay period based on the credit card details provided upon check-in. We do not accept cash payment for room reservations. We do not accept debit cards to secure rooms or for pre-authorization on check-in due to ongoing issues with releasing same. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause guests.

Please note that the Hotel reserves the right to pre-authorize the booker’s credit card up to 4 days prior to arrival. This places the pre-authorized amount in a holding state which also temporarily reduces one’s credit limit. The pre-authorization is not a charge and no funds will be debited from the account at this point, this will also not be reflected in the credit card statement since no charge has been made. The credit limit will be released back to the cardholder within one week depending on the issuing bank.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.

Great hotel, really clean & central

Reception staff could improve on their customer service, no effort to make chat on arrival or departure, not even to ask if everything was ok, strange for a town that’s renowned for tourism

It is a very old large hotel. Very much a rabbit warren to your room. No smoke detectors which worried us in case of a fire.

Thank you to all at the International Hotel, we had a wonderful stay.
Pros:

The hotel is lovely, warm and inviting. Plenty of lobby sitting room, great restaurant and bar.
The staff were so helpful and friendly from Jane in reception to Dara in the restaurant, thank you for a lovely stay.

Love this hotel
Pros:

We stayed at the International hotel for a weekend as we were celebrating our friend's 40th birthday by having a meal in their brasserie room.
Honestly, this hotel was amazing to deal with.
Anne Marie, Siobhán, Catriona & Rebecca went above and beyond in anyway they could.
The rooms were immaculate & so comfortable.
The breakfast was a highlight, delicous & so fresh!
Everyone in our group loved their meal in the evening.
The staff are serious operators, the waiting staff and bar tenders were so efficient and genuinley so nice.
I'm looking forward to returning there & I would absolutley reccomend this hotel.
I think I could go on and on with praise for the hotel and all the staff.
My son left his earpods behind, he made a quick call and was told they had them and an arrangement was made for them to be posted to him, no waiting, no looking, no asking someone else just sorted there and then with a less than 2 minute phone call. They are unreal here.

Family celebration
Pros:

We recently spent a weekend at the International Hotel to celebrate a family birthday. From the moment we arrived the whole experience was just fantastic. A number of us stayed at the hotel and everyone commented on how good the service was from the ladies at reception to the housekeeping staff. The hotel holds such character which adds to the experience. We had the birthday celebration in Hannigans restaurant. The food choices were so good and the quality of the food and service was exceptional. Special shoutout to Rebecca who helped me organise this weekend also to Caoimhe and her team who could not do enough for us on the day. Overall we had a brilliant weekend and would highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed here when on our travels, absolutely beautiful hotel, the rooms were outstanding, Comfortable beds and lovely staff, the breakfast was delicious and the location is right in the centre of town, perfect !
