Good but more thought into guests with dogs
Pros:

Close to centre and dog friendly

Cons:

Having to sit in the hall way to eat my breakfast because we had a dog. Carrying food and drink for breakfast on a tray wasn’t easy having to manoeuvre this through swing doors etc

Easy, comfortable and gorgeous location.
Pros:

The room was spacey for 3 adults and you had a nice bathroom. It was what we needed for just 1 night. The girl checking us out was amazing and helped us navigate a stressful moment and get us a taxi to the train station. The view from the hotel to the castle was just beautiful. We wished we could've seen it from our room.

Cons:

The first person we encountered when checking in seemed annoyed that we were checking in. The room was far away and up & down stairs even after taking the elevator which we understand is common in old building but still didn't fully anticipate when checking in.

Cons:

It was filthy, dust everywhere, rubbish in communal areas not picked up, stained shower curtain and mould marks around bathtub.

Great Location
Pros:

I was a little nervous about our stay as there is some mixed reviews, however the hotel was pleasant clean and comfortable and is in a beautiful listed building. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and the location is excellent.
The hotel bar was also happy to accommodate a family gathering.

Cons:

We were very happy to stay two nights however we didn’t have housekeeping in during this time which would have been preferable.

Pros:

A localização é ótima. Toda a decoração antiga do hotel deu-lhe caracter tradicional do UK que conheci há 30 anos atrás.

Great location, good stay.
Pros:

Location was beautiful. Breakfast was ok, but could be improved.

Cons:

We had requested to have our rooms near, this was unfortunately not the case.
It was a bit unclear if we could leave the car in front of the hotel.
