The staff were lovely and very helpful! Very knowledgeable and caring about the comfort of our stay.
There was black mold throughout the shower’s walls and tub. What looked to be crusty blood on my pillow case. The room’s advertised air conditioning but in reality the room’s are sweltering and you just have a small fan to turn on and blow the hot air around.
Location is great
Parking away from hotel is unreliable for spots, hotel is quite dated and needs some attention to detail and freshening up, plumbing in suites was constant pipe noise, some staff on front desk were more interested in talking rather than providing service
Breakfast good
Nil
only thing i can say is they do a really good breakfast, could not fault it really, accept to say the hot food seemed to go coldish rather quick, maybe the food wasn't being kept hot enough in the individual trays.
for starters i don't think the price we were charged here for what we got wasn't worth it, think a premier or travel lodge would have been a much better option, we were given a room at the back of the hotel looking onto an old rundown building from a window that had no right to be called that, the paint was flaking off round all parts of it and looked like the wood was rotting, so we kept the curtains shut so we did not have to look at it. as to the rest of the room the furniture was very dated with the varnish all scuffed up and the carpet looked worn in places, the bed was a double but a small double and not very comfortable as i woke up with a sore back both mornings we were there. bathroom was your standard hotel one accept for the bath with a shower head over it witch I've not seen in a hotel room for quite some time, my wife slipped in the bath getting out, but she's ok. as to the rest of the hotel i.e. corridors', the 2nd floor had worn carpet and squeaky floor boards, i would think the other levels might be the same, the breakfast area looked more in keeping with modern times and the reception area with stairwell looked great, the bar was ok but could do with a lick of fresh paint and varnish though. when browsing the photos of the rooms on the website don't think that's what you will get because you wont, was an eye opener for me as i only booked the hotel because of those photos and was disappointed when i walked into the room.
Location is perfect for 4-minute walk to the compact city centre, so 2-3 days is enough for walks along the river, parks and old town. Great art gallery and museum and castle - though the castle is Victorian repro not medieval.
Day coach tours are available for all over the Highlands and islands.
Bedrooms are very spacious and well maintained, not tired as I had read before my stay. Also very quiet - no noise transfer between rooms or floors. Huge bed, tea, coffee, ironing board, hairdryer.
Buffet breakfast had everything - cereal, yogurt, pastries, fruit and juice to full fry-up. Good coffee.
Genuinely lovely staff - after a 12-hout coach tour, I had a quick call from reception to let me know the restaurant would be closing in 15 minutes.

Staff was amazing, super friendly and the bed was super comfortable
Hotel sits across the river from the main shopping area of Inverness. It was about a 10-15 minute walk to the train station. It's definitely an older hotel - there's 2-3 hotels along this street, which seems to be the prime hotels for big bus groups. All the staff were very friendly. We had very spacious rooms facing the river and the castle. There's a sign at front desk stating that housekeeping comes by every 2 days. We stayed 5 nights and not once did housekeeping clean the room even after mentioning after 3 nights. We did not prepay for breakfast but it is easy to add the morning off. The buffet had a decent selection. There was really only one member of staff working at breakfast, needing to check people's room numbers, clean tables and replenish items. With all members of a bus trip arriving at breakfast at the same time, items were depleted very fast. There's a nice bar to relax in after a day touring the sights.
Comfortable room, nice staff, well situated for the shops
They don't serve kids meals in the restaurant or bar
Posizione centrale. Camera confortevole.
Location was great. Elevator to 3rd floor definitely a plus.
Room was extremely hot. Window opened about one inch on the top only. A fan should be provided with each room. I had bought one which made it easier to sleep. A small fridge would have been nice to have. I stayed for three nights. Would have been much easier to have a place to keep some cold drinks, snacks.
Bien situé au centre d’Inverness, cet hôtel un peu vieillot à son charme.
