Regular visits with friends to play squash
Pros:

I Visit Mollington Hotel a couple of times a month. I play squash with a group of friends and then go to the bar afterwards. The staff are always friendly, the courts in great condition and the bar always fully stocked. It's a great venue.

Weekend away
Pros:

We stayed here for a murder mystery night, the hotel was great and the staff were fantastic. We only stayed one night so didn’t get time to use all the facilities (pool etc) included. If we ho to Chester again will definitely stay here again.

Pleasant weekend away.
Pros:

Good location one and a half miles from Chester. Large grounds. Bedroom clean warm with newly refurbished bathroom.one of the best leisure suites I've seen, large pool whose water was warm. Large gym. Good buffet breakfast. Only had dinner one night, fish and chips, batter was light and crispy, let down by frozen chips.
Staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Would stay here again.

Not great. Beware the mattresses and pillows
Pros:

Great location. Pool is very good.

Cons:

First night, I encountered a mattress with a hump in it. Not possible to sleep on it. On investigation, I found the mattress was shot, with a dip in the middle that they tried to compensate for with 2 towels propping up from underneath. They replaced the mattress for the second night - but nothing offered by way of compensation either by partial refund or whatever. I thought that was poor. The second issue was thankfully we take pillow cases with us as a precaution because when removing them on leaving, yellow stained pillows were revealed. Again, Very poor. Breakfast options were limited if you are vegan/vegetarian

Excellent
Pros:

We stayed here for one night as a family of three (2 adults and 1 child) and, having read some of the recent reviews beforehand, we were a little unsure what to expect. In all honesty, we found them much harsher than our experience deserved — please don’t be put off by them. Our stay was genuinely lovely.
We arrived at 2:30pm and were made to feel very welcome straight away. Our room was prepared early, which we really appreciated. The welcome drinks were a thoughtful touch and very refreshing after the journey.
There is ample parking, which makes arrival and unloading easy. The location is good, with everything you need close by — there’s even an Aldi about a mile away, which is handy if you’ve forgotten anything or want to pick up snacks.
The hotel itself is a little dated in places, particularly the lounge area, and it did feel quite cold there. That would be my main criticism. It wouldn’t take much to improve it — perhaps creating a few cosy snug areas with sofas and a fire would make a big difference. Offering nicer coffees would also elevate the bar/lounge space.
That said, our room was warm, comfortable and clean. The pool was great and a real highlight for our child. We even used it again after checkout, which was a bonus. The relaxation room by the pool was a lovely space to sit quietly and enjoy the complimentary coffee.
In the evening we stayed for light bites in the bar and watched TV. We had pizza, a sandwich, chips and drinks — simple food, but exactly what we wanted. Breakfast the next morning was okay; not a huge amount of choice, but it filled us up and set us up for the day.
What really stood out was the staff. Steve in the bar on Wednesday night was excellent — friendly and attentive. The lady working in the bar in the afternoon was equally lovely, and the gentleman on reception Thursday morning was polite and welcoming. Across the board, the staff were genuinely warm and helpful, and that makes a huge difference.

Cons:

Cold in lobby area
