Great find.
Pros:

Lovely traditional hotel, with a fantastic pool, jacuzzi, and sauna. The staff were fabulous and extremely friendly. A nice meal, and a good bar. Definitely recommend.

Great stay! Would stay again! Thankyou for a nice stay
Pros:

Only 2 floors, pram accessible, rooms were spacious and rooms were modernised which was nice! Bathroom was nice! They went above and beyond for our needs of 2 rooms together which was fabulous! Staff were welcoming and chatty which was great! Bed sheets and towels were clean and they were re-made and clean towels the day after! Amazing location, not too far from anything! Defo a must have with kids as it’s a 10min MAX journey from attractions or city centre! Tele also was great and had apps on there again, another great thing for kids and babies! And loved the smell of the hand washes!

Cons:

Slightly dated and could have been slightly cleaner! Room had a smell of stale smoke which was annoying but could overcome (but unsure if it was the person before us and the room next door didn’t smell at all) Bathrooms could have been cleaned better… stains around the toilet seat and hairs on the shower floor still but i managed to do that so it was an easy fix. Swimming facilities were good… and good times also!

A very helpful team when I left something behind.
Pros:

I was at the Brook Mollington Banastre Hotel for a wedding where I was performing as a musician, and unfortunately left a GoPro clamp behind in the function room.

When I first called, I was told that the cleaner hadn’t found anything, but the manager, Clive, took the matter seriously and personally went to look for it. He found it and then made sure it was safely returned to me.

I arranged and paid for the return postage myself by sending a prepaid envelope, and the clamp arrived back with me the following day.

Clive and the team were genuinely helpful and went the extra mile to make sure my lost property was returned. Much appreciated!

It was okay
Pros:

Staff were very polite and knowledgeable. Breakfast so very good.

Cons:

Bed was so uncomfortable and far to bouncy!

Very out of date and the facilities needs a lot of money to modernise it.

Great little break away for Chester Zoo
Pros:

Location was really good.
All staff we encountered were amazing!
Both our requests were accommodated.
Great to be able to use the pool.
Free on-site parking
Clean rooms.

Cons:

Not much of a selection at breakfast.
Only grapefruit as a fresh fruit option
No shampoo, shower gel or towels at pool.
Everything else was fabulous, thank you

Dishonest staff , needs really good clean avoid.
Pros:

I was booked into this hotel by my friend, so I added my daughter on as well as a birthday gift, I had unwittingly booked and paid for the wrong night date on arrival, the manager checked they had another room that I could take , so I was asked to pay again and he would approve cancellation of my non refundable room rate through booking .com.. I paid £100 for another room , today I got confirmation that they have actually refused to agree to my cancellation, so I have lost £79 very , dishonest to say that they would sort it out for me, to make me pay again for an honest error, anyway , dirty changing rooms in the swimming area, advertised as a spa hotel yet no robes anywhere to be seen, only a pool and a jacuzzi which did not look very clean, doors falling off the lockers , dirty tissues thrown all over the changing rooms, tv in my daughters room did not even work , very disappointed no latte or even cappuccino at breakfast, even though there is a coffee machine at the bar, no fried eggs , windows were filthy and nets over the top of the windows were filthy, and there was a wedding on , you think they could of least made an effort to, as a wedding was being held there. We asked for a replacement bath towel after using the pool area and were given a hand towel , very unorganised.

Fab afternoon tea.
Pros:

Had a fabulous afternoon tea. Lovely sandwiches. The Bellini’s were a lovely addition to the experience. The cakes were another level. All cooked on the premises. Lemon drizzle, Victoria sponge, carrot cake and scones. The scones were light fresh and devine. The dining room was warm clean with real fabric tablecloths and napkins. A really nice experience. I would recommend. And will be back.

I had a great 3 night break with family, great location and fabulous staff.
Pros:

The staff were amazing, from check-in to check-out they were welcoming, pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. Huge shout out to Lindsay (reception) and the restaurant staff alike who were covering the bar area too.

Cons:

First night we booked restaurant and several dishes weren't available and I understand that after a busy weekend this happens, it would have been helpful to have been told what was off the menu before ordering rather than feeling rushed into looking for an alternative on the spot (I accept I could have asked for a few minutes longer to review menu again)...but a simple handwritten slip on the menu to say the following items are unavailable is an easy fix.

Wouldnt stay again, don't recommend
Pros:

The best thing about this hotel is the reception team and the location

Cons:

Was allocated room 28, it was awful, ivy growing all over the outside windows so you couldnt see out and was also growing inside thought the seal and gaps in windows, one window had a crack right across the full width, bed base was broken and dirty, kettle was black inside and very dirty, when I walked in between my children's bed I got lots of hair stuck around my foot that was on the floor, shower didn't work, sink took ages to drain, curtains were dirty, we complained and got a room change the next day, that room was better but not amazing, TV didn't work, kettle was not clean, however we have been brought a new one for the old room so we just swapped it over, wall heater was hanging off the wall, back or curtains were dirty,. Restaurant were we had breakfast was not the cleanest, cobwebs and dust along the edge of the carpet and skirting boards, and ceiling edge, breakfast was not great, lights in corridor look dull then you realise the lights have dead bugs in them, pool/spa, well the pool is green looking and water looks cloudy, my children were desperate to go in so we did, to be fair we was all OK, pool area is dirty and delapadated plastic mat put over large section of missimg floor tiles, and from the look of it the tiles have been broken for a long time, changing rooms are dirty and again cobwebs everywhere, ceiling tile also missing, drain ing the showers were full of clumps of hair. The pool is not staffed and there is a sign on the pool side informing you of this, towels are issued at the main reception. Car park not welll lit, but is a good size, I did complain and the manage is supposed to be calling me, I'm still waiting, girls on reception were lovely and helpful, really friendly and you could see they were embarrassed when dealing with how bad our rooms were, spoke to two other guests who both had also requested room changes.
