Comfortable business hotel
Pros:

The Ter Elst is perfectly located for events at the nearby Kattenbroek Sporthal and has 2 nice restaurants located on the same property

Cons:

The breakfast bar along with options for lunch and other inbetween meals are pretty rudimentary. Due to the remote location of the entire complex, there are no good alternatives conveniently close by.

Hoe een hotel zichzelf naar onderen haalt, blijf er maar weg
Pros:

In principe heeft dit hotel alles voor een prettig verblijf

Cons:

Hoe je een goed hotel vet kunt laten falen: voor de goede sfeer heeft het hotel geluidboxen laten plaatsen boven een terras bij het restaurant. Montage is echter op de eerste verdieping naast de ramen van kamers.

Dit hotel vindt het alleen normaal om muziek door te laten spelen na middernacht. na klagen werd de muziek uitgezet, echter 's ochtend voor 07;00 uur weer aangezet. Weg nachtrust .....

's Ochtends verzocht om een verklaring, een reactie en een oplossing. Die werd per e-mail beloofd... uiteraard is het immer nog wachten op antwoord. Dit hotel interesseert zich blijkbaar niet voor klanten.

Pros:

Kamer was groot en netjes. Het personeel was super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het ontbijt was keurig geregeld. Er was heel veel parkeerruimte dicht bij de hoofdingang.

Pros:

Sehr schönes Hotel kann ich wärmstes weiter empfehlen, ruhige Lage und gutes Restaurant im Hotel.
Der ganze Aufenthalt war perfekt.
Das Frühstück war super sehr grosse Auswahl.

Ter Elst ligt voor ons op een heel goede locatie, maar voldoet niet meer aan onze verwachtingen

De ontvangst aan de receptie viel min of meer mee ... ttz de persoon in kwestie was vriendelijk, maar onze reservatie was niet gekend ... ligt dit aan TerElst of aan Booking.com ????

Cons:

Vooreerst dat we niet "verwacht" werden, niettegenstaande reservatie via Booking.com
Dan : onze kamer was wel ruim, maar voor 2 personen had die enkel maar 1 zetel in de kamer !
Verder : toonde het vast tapijt veel vlekken van morsen of ... ? van vorige gebruikers
Dan : in de badkamer lagen meerdere vloertegels los...

King of miscommunication
Cons:

Long story short: i requested a late checkout for the following day. I paid 25 euro for the late checkout till 15.00 clock.

The following day a really rude staff opened my room door after just knocking 1 time and entered asking to leave 14.30 clock because according to him the late checkout was 14.00 clock and not 15.00 clock. I told him this is a really bad communication from the reception because a worker told us the checkout would be at 15.00 clock.

After knocking 3 times i lost my temper and told to give me some moment to fresh up and leave before 15.00 clock because of an absurd miscommunication/ mistake by the reception.

After 5 minutes 4 Belgian Police came by asking us to leave. I told them this is a really bad communication made by the reception. The police ruled in our favor and decided that we can peacefully leave according at 15.00 clock because of lacking a receipt given by the hotel for late checkout.

Don’t come here. Horrible staff and communication!!
