Ace Hotel & Swim Club Athens

Veldig bra hotell. God mat, flotte rom (ikke veldig store), veldig bra service. Flott uteområde. Passer nok ikke veldig bra for familier med små barn. Eneste minuset er beliggenhet, litt langt unna andre restauranter. Men, absolutt å anbefale.

Nice modern hotel however not in a convenient area and very noisy from the main road in front of the hotel. Nice breakfast but restaurants were dead in the evening and wine overpriced. Room was clean with nice comfortable beds however we had to move due to the noise from the generator. Bathroom tiny and no extractor fan. Staff were pleasant and helpful

Gorgeous property. Beautiful pool, lobby, and restaurant. Very thoughtful details. Feels curated, edited, and special. Amazing staff. Warm and friendly. Would highly recommend!

To be fair, the hotel is beautifully designed, as one would expect from ACE. The common areas are thoughtfully put together and aesthetically pleasing. However, good design alone is hardly a substitute for comfort. The rooms are very small, with compact bathrooms (around 5–7 sq. meters) where the shower leaks and the only sink is oddly placed next to the bed.
The location also feels somewhat impractical—neither central nor truly tranquil, leaving it in a sort of in-between space that isn’t very convenient. Thankfully, we didn’t need to move around much during our short stay.
I’ve stayed at many ACE hotels worldwide and usually enjoy them, but this one simply doesn’t live up to the standard or justify the price. In Athens, there are plenty of well-designed hotels in the same price range that offer more comfort and better value.
The hotel’s main attraction should be its pool, but the experience is diluted by day-pass visitors. What could have been a relaxing highlight instead feels like a crowded waterpark, with hotel guests left competing for shaded loungers and service. It’s a shame, because the pool has great potential. In its current form, it would only work if access were limited to hotel guests—or if the property positioned itself as an adults-only retreat. Without that change, the cramped rooms and compromised pool experience make it hard to justify staying here.

upon arrival
the staff member was extremely rude and condescending. did not greet us properly. when asked if a room could be made available, she responded with a lot of attitude and was not accomodating. did not inform us about the amneties (breakfast time,
changing room for pool, pool towels). very expeditive and unwelcoming.
