Já conhecia o hotel do tempo de anterior proprietário: piorou consideravelmente.
Falta de informações no aposento.
Não existe um menu adequado para serviço de quartos e refeições ligeiras.
A falta de manutenção das instalações é evidente!
Não oferece serviço compatível com 4*, nem com os preços praticados.
No hall da receção não existe um único lugar com assento compatível com pessoas de reduzida mobilidade: são todos demasiado baixos, para pessoas de idade mais avançada.

Fijn hotel, mooie locatie, fantastisch ontbijtbuffet
Pros:

Het ontbijt in het restaurant met uitzicht over Formosa was fantastisch. De koffie uit de automaat was slecht. Tegenover het hotel was een barrestaurant, waar we na het ontbijt heerlijk koffie gingen drinken. Ook geen straf en zeer betaalbaar

Cons:

De eerste kamer die wij hadden, had waterschade aan de vloer gehad. Daardoor was de atmosfeer heel vochtig, wat voor een astmapatiënt slecht is.
Na 2 nachten hebben we dat gemeld en kregen we een andere kamer die prima was. Goede service!

Ho trovato non all’altezza il ristorante interno, la cena è stata molto lontana dagli standard portoghesi di zona, eccellente la colazione del mattino

Locatie is geweldig. Vriendelijk personeel en goed ontbijt. De welness mag je gratis gebruik van maken. De kamer is ruim, een goeie badkamer en fijne douche.

Pros:

The hotel is in a very good location, within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. The train station is also a very short walk away.
The staff were very friendly and pleasant.
The breakfast was always very good with plenty of hot and cold options.
The hotel was very clean.

Cons:

The only thing that I was dissatisfied about was an issue with the supply of hot water in my room. I stayed here for three nights and for the first two days there was no hot water in my room. I made reception aware of the issue and there was no attempt made to offer me an alternative room or to send someone to my room to check the issue. I made a complaint to management and even though I was offered complimentary dinner with drinks for two people in the hotel restaurant, i did not accept it as the intention of my complaint was not to get something for free. It was only when I had returned home to Ireland that the hotel managed decided to inform me by email that the issue was related to a "structural problem which was affecting several areas of the hotel". It was very disappointing that I was not told this when I made reception aware of the problem in the first place.
Due to this issue, the hotel staff's failure to take action, and their lack of communication, I cannot recommend this hotel. This was not four star service.

Eigentlich schönes Hotel mit einigen Schönheitsfehlern
Pros:

Freundlicher Empfang, Tiefgarage direkt am Hotel, gute Lage direkt am Hafen/Altstadt. Viele Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe.

Cons:

Leider kleine Mitbewohner (Ameisen) im Zimmer/Bad. Warmes Wasser erst nach vielen Minuten und dann nur wenig mehr als Körper warm. Fliesen und Seifenspenderhalter nicht sauber, Chromabdeckungen teilweise mit Rostflecken. "Blick auf die Stadt" im Deluxe-Zimmer endete unmittelbar am Balkongeländer am Dach des nächsten Hauses.
