Hotel Rival

We had a one night stay in this lovely hotel! Delicious dinner in the cosy restaurant and in the morning fantastic breakfast! I loved the smashed avocado sandwich.

Everything you read about this hotel is true - it is an absolute gem! The staff are friendly and incredibly helpful - they helped make our visit to Stockholm so good, answering questions, finding things out and making arrangements for us. They also took a genuine interest in how we were, what we were doing and what, if anything, we needed.

The room was extremely comfortable and had every amenity anyone would need - our room had a walk-in shower and a bath, which was sheer luxury for us! The room was cleaned thoroughly every day and there was a turn-down service every evening when you could ask for anything you were missing.

Breakfast was worth waiting for! Almost anything you could think of was there - cold meats, fresh and prepared fruit, breads, drinks and cooked breakfast items. In addition, there is a menu of cooked items you could order including omelettes, smashed avocado on toast, roast tomatoes and more! In short, there’s no need to start the day hungry!

It’s also very neatly situated a couple of minute’s walk from a metro station and a bus stop - meaning that the whole city and its surrounds are very easy to get to.

The fact that it also has a couple of bars, a tavern and a good restaurant is the icing on the top! It also has a theatre, which does make the lobby and bar a little congested just before a theatre performance, but they do have plenty of room.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Rival as the most accommodating and happy place to stay in Stockholm - I will certainly never stay anywhere else in the city!

Absolutely nothing to say....This hotel is just perfect....The rooms are very clean, the bed is very comfortable. The hotel is quiet aned the reception and housekeeping staff are attentive and friendly. The breakfast is just perfect...There are a very wide choice at the buffet and also "a la carte". I don't know what more you could want?....It has everything. The hotel is very well located the decor is very stylish...The bar is just magnificient, very beautiful decor....Highly rcommanded! You won't be desappointed...Really! Thanks again from Belgium :-) and see you next year, we'll be back

As usual, the whole staff of the Rival makes you feel at home. Their kindness and the way they treat the customers are beyond words! I can not dream of a better hotel than the Rival!

Our group of three couples stayed at Hotel Rival in late February, and we had a fantastic experience. We were upgraded on arrival to beautifully spacious rooms, and every member of the staff was genuinely lovely and incredibly accommodating.
Breakfast was a real highlight — a generous buffet paired with a made‑to‑order menu served directly to the table. The coffee was exceptional, easily some of the best we had during our trip.
The team also went out of their way to help with recommendations for places to visit, which made exploring the city even more enjoyable.
We highly recommend Hotel Rival for its beautiful rooms, outstanding service, and excellent location.

The hotel is perfectly located in a very central area, with the main sights within easy walking distance and a subway station just around the corner.

The rooms are clean and cosy, the bed is very comfortable, and the pillow menu is a great feature. In the standard room, a little more lighting would be helpful when packing or unpacking luggage.

The breakfast buffet is rich and varied, and the food is very well prepared. The restaurant closes at 9 pm, which might feel a bit early for guests who prefer a later dinner, but the food was very good.

A big plus is the tea and coffee kitchen on the floor, where you can prepare drinks at any time and enjoy fresh fruit and cookies. The gym next door is a full fitness studio with a wide range of equipment, which is a great advantage.

We also really appreciated the overall atmosphere in the hotel. It felt very welcoming and we were very comfortable during our stay. Another positive aspect was how quiet the hotel and the rooms were – I was able to sleep without earplugs, which I usually need in hotels.

Overall, we would definitely book this hotel again and can highly recommend it. We felt very welcome during our stay.

Vi har ingenting å utsette på dette hotellet. Bodde i sjette etg med balkong. Frokosten var helt fantastisk den også. Vi kommer garanter tilbake.

Très bon emplacement pour découvrir la ville. Personnel serviable. Petit déjeuner délicieux et très complet. Chambre bien équipée avec lit très confortable.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Rival and would highly recommend it. The staff was very friendly and helpful with dining and sightseeing recommendations and getting us a taxi to the airport. Good location, excellent breakfast buffet, and our room was high quality and comfortable with a nice view of the square.
