Perfect location & lovely hotel in Stockholm
Pros:

Loved Hotel Rival! Kind & helpful & welcoming at front desk, great room amenities including excellent pillows & heated bathroom floor, wonderful breakfast & perfect location - alongside small park, in a fun neighborhood with cafes & steps from Mariatorget subway station. Loved having a balcony over the park, highly recommend higher floor balcony room.

Great Value and Experience
Pros:

Hotel Rival was a totally unexpected gem!... It is well-located in a very walkable and safe area. The facilities are clean and well-appointed... everything from quiet, intimate and cozy lounge to small breakout rooms to a large theater. Staff were exceptional and quite personable. Daily breakfast is amazing with a variety of options. Rooms are modern and comfortable. Can't beat coffee and cookies 24/7 on 4th floor. Overall, as good an experience as I can remember!

Stort rum med fin utsikt över mariatorget. Smakfullt inrett och vackra blommor på balkongen. På våningsplanet fanns liten lounge med gratis kaffe, frukt och kakor.

Terrific stay at Hotel Rival
Pros:

I had a lovely stay at the Rival for five nights in June. I was attending a work conference, but decided to go a few nights early. The hotel is modern and welcoming, with a lovely coffee and tea station on every floor. The public spaces are dramatic-looking and comfortable. (It used to be a theater and the hotel still has one.)The rooms are typically European,
but well-proportioned and designed and the bathroom was especially nice with a terrific shower. (The only negative might be no air con, but it was very cool- as is typical- during my stay in mid-June.) The breakfast was delicious and plentiful (you could eat from the buffet AND order from the menu). The location on Mariatorget square was also excellent - close to the tunnelbana and the Sodermaam train to the airport. And walkable to Gamla
Stan and other points of interest. All in all a terrific stay!

Hotel Rival provided us with a memorable experience in Stockholm and met and exceeded all of our expectations.
Pros:

The hotel was located in a charming neighborhood and provided a lovely good sized room. Lobby bar and restaurant in hotel were both exceptional.

Cons:

Can’t think of anything that was a disappointment

Cons:

Small issue with the slow drainage of the sink in the bathroom. Not enough to spoil our stay.

Up-scale with a good breakfast, but a bit expensive
Pros:

Reasonably fancy, great breakfast, friendly staff. A good location, quite central and easy to navigate to and from. They also have a pillow menu in the room although we didn't end up using it.

Cons:

The blinds didn't quite cover the windows and let in quite a lot of light through the sides. Being a more expensive hotel, we had expected better quality blinds to help with the summer sun.

Excellent accommodations, location, staff!
Pros:

Excellent/superior breakfast. Beautiful room. Balcony was worth the extra cost! We enjoyed the scenery and the nearby park and watching the daily life of the locals passing by.
Concierge service was excellent. Excellent staff.

Comfortable and excellent location
Pros:

Excellent location in easy walking distance of good restaurants though the public transport was brilliant. Very good breakfast. And very comfortable room

Cons:

It was hot in Stockholm and we had picked a standard room that does not have A/C- needed to up grade (to superior room) that was expensive.
