Pros:

Great location and breakfast

Cons:

The room is quite compact. The bathroom ventilation was very noisy and couldn’t be turned off, it made a constant whistling sound, which made it difficult to rest properly.
Will not stay here again next time.

Highly Recommend Hotel Rival
Pros:

We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Rival. We were pleased with the size, layout and cleanliness of the room. It was appreciated that the wardrobe closets had enough room to hold a suitcase, along with a few small shelves. We often find the lights in a hotel room are too dim and do not light up the center of the room - that was not the case with Hotel Rival. The lights in the bathroom were also bright. The shower was good size and the amenities were good quality. It's nice to have a wash cloth and facial tissues.

While the room price was a bit high, that seems to be the case with all of Stockholm, and the value was still good. That breakfast was included was appreciated. The buffet selection was very good, and the Menu of items to be ordered had a excellent variety and was of high quality.

Most importantly, we appreciate the quality of the Front Desk staff. Rickard and his team were very helpful at all times and provided great advice.
While the Hotel Rival is not in Gamla Stan, it was only a 15 minute walk or a quick metro ride. We took public transportation or walked everywhere.

It’s Like Coming Home ❤️
Pros:

LOVE the Hotel Rival. We’ve been staying there for years when we’re in Stockholm and always recommend it to others. This time didn’t disappoint!!! Wonderful accommodations, great dining options, terrific location and above all a FANTASTIC staff! They looked after us from the time we checked in, until we checked out. They accommodated and early arrival and a late departure plus worked hard to meet our wishes regarding our room.

Already looking forward to our next visit!!!
