Lovely heritage hotel for stay & dining. Exceptional hospitality service and warm welcome to Asian travelers.
Pros:

Hotel Poseidon is a charming heritage stay in Positano, and our Room 19 was impressively spacious with thoughtful amenities, including a dedicated makeup mirror that made getting ready easy. Both dining and breakfast come with a stunning panoramic view, though capturing those iconic Instagram shots is now a bit harder because of the many umbrellas used for shade. Still, the atmosphere remains beautiful, and the staff are truly exceptional—warm, attentive, and always ready to help with anything you need. A lovely, comfortable stay overall.

Perfection in Positano
Pros:

Perhaps it is hard to mess up a hotel in Positano but this hotel was close to perfect. After much debate on room type, we booked a premium room ; these come with an exceptionally large private terrace and are reasonably private (if you're standing at the edge you can see the other balconies but not if you're lounging in a chair). The views are completely accurate and stunning. Note that if it is raining or recently rained, the balcony is pretty unusable without cover. The room itself was large with a reasonably modern bathroom (perhaps not in decor, but in function). A minibar with snacks was a nice touch.

The hotel itself has many levels and stairs, which I think may be one of the reasons it maintains such a historic, boutique feel. Front desk staff were pleasant and helpful in arranging car transport and transport of bags down to the ferry.

The breakfast each morning was fantastic, with the rising sun beautifully blocked by shades on their outdoor terrace. A small daily "newspaper" with facts about Amalfi Coast or Positano is a nice touch.

We did not use the pool area, although it looked relatively small. That being said, the pool deck is beautiful and one could easily hang out there with amazing views if you wanted to book a cheaper room category.

One thing to note: in April at least this hotel faces sunrise, not sunset. This can mean that your balcony is in shade during much of the afternoon and can get rather cool, and of course, you miss the sunsets.

Outstanding Hotel, One of the Best
Pros:

If I could give this hotel 12/10 I would! One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The hotel staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable they always had a smile on their face, said hello and could do more to help us.
Our room was amazing with a beautiful balcony and air con that worked perfectly (a must in the heat) Breakfast was incredible but the stand out was the beautiful pool and deck area, I could have stayed there forever! Thank you to the team for making our stay perfect. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this wonderful place

Magical & Dreamy Stay at Hotel Poseidon
Pros:

Magical and dreamy stay at Hotel Poseidon! Just a perfectly glorious location and atmosphere where you can walk to it all but still have peace and tranquility once you are back at the hotel. A kind and welcoming staff always ready to assist and make sure every need is met. We stayed in the Liliana Suite and it was beyond expectations with a sweet terrace that you could just sit for hours taking in the view. The restaurant Il Tridente was delicious and had so many amazing choices we dined there twice during our stay. Every detail is paid attention to from the start at Morning breakfasts to evening cocktails - perfection. We will absolutely be back for more!!

Best hotel I’ve ever stayed in

This hotel is by far the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in

My husband and I are just home from 4 nights in Hotel Poseidon. The itself is truly a traditional Italian hotel in its decor. Spotlessly clean and well maintained. The housekeeping staff do an amazing job and the turn down service in the evenings was a nice touch. The view of Positano from the bedroom balcony was breathtaking. Definitely book a room with a balcony! The terrace where we had breakfast every morning again shared these stunning views. And the food was fresh and delicious.

The pool area is beautiful and peaceful with unbelievable views, and the cocktail bar by the pool is fantastic.

The location of the hotel is amazing. Walking distance to the beach and so many gorgeous restaurants and shops.

The best thing of all though is the staff. They are so attentive and nothing is too much trouble. We were made to feel special and welcome throughout our stay. The attention to detail in the service is like nothing I’ve experienced in any other hotel, and yet it’s unobtrusive and easy.

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and I will definitely be back. Positano itself is like a little piece of heaven. I cannot wait to visit again.

An Unforgettable Stay at Hotel Poseidon!

Our experience at Hotel Poseidon was a perfect 10/10! The location is unbeatable, the views are absolutely breathtaking, and the exceptional service made our stay truly unforgettable. The property was also impeccably clean and beautifully maintained, making it feel both luxurious and welcoming.

My husband and I spent three nights (junior suite) here celebrating our 10-year anniversary, and it was the perfect place to relax. From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed. We were given a tour of the property by the granddaughter of the original owners, which added such a personal and meaningful touch to our stay.

We spent our days relaxing by the pool, soaking up the sunshine and taking in the incredible views. On our first evening, we had dinner at the hotel's restaurant, and it was easily one of the best meals we enjoyed during our trip through Italy. We also loved having aperitivo on the terrace.

Each morning, we looked forward to coming downstairs for breakfast and enjoying a peaceful cappuccino before exploring. The hotel's location made it incredibly easy to walk to the beach, browse the shops, and experience everything Positano has to offer since it's right on the main road.

The staff also helped arrange our transportation from Naples to the hotel and our return trip, making our travel completely stress-free.

Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We would absolutely stay at Hotel Poseidon again and can't wait to recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Positano!
