This Fairfield made us feel welcome.
Pros:

The night check in staff gave us a warm welcome after a long drive. We really appreciated that they had refreshments available like cocoa and oranges so we could have a little snack before heading to bed. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were quiet. In the morning we enjoyed the variety of options especially for the oatmeal bar. And the lemons and limes in the water dispenser was a nice touch.

Cons:

The eggs were overboiled and the treadmill wasn’t working. Also the sink was cracked.

Losing its luster - quickly
Pros:

Update from last - still love the people and fruit out all day - and good fruit - oranges that aren't soft, etc.

But others are right - the infrastructure is not good. Shredded carpet in the room. Dry wall, grout, basedboards missing. The cabinet holding the fridge in my room is shredded. The AC Unit against the window is cracked.

So serious work needs to be done. I won't be back even with the positivies.

The request of the room on the other side - they had to find one - but away from the highway - was a good one. There was just forest behind my room and I only heard the highway.

But - my initial it's fine - has worn off - and I'll try a different property next time.

There are positives here but I hope they invest in the physical plant.

PS - confused - you have a wonderful oatmeal bar but then just packaged oatmeal. Your bar is meant for fresh cooked oatmeal, which 90% of Fairfields offer.

Avoid. Far Below Marriott standards.
Pros:

While we had a quiet night, the AC worked, that is where our positive experience ceased. I am baffled as to how this property is allowed to carry the Marriott brand name. Upon entrance, the sign is busted. The lobby is quite small and in need of repair. The bathroom was awful. Black mildew stains covered the ceiling. The shower and shower curtain were stained and ragged. We had no hand soap and an insufficient amount of towels. When my husband went to request hand soap and additional towels, he was told that the extra provided were the last on the property. The lobby employees had to keep Lysol in front of the counter to cover what I believe to be the smell of marijuana. This made me feel unsafe with my family.

Pros:

Truly a bottom-tier hotel. Bugs in the room. Suspicious markings all over walls and ceilings. And the front desk team out of towels. Only reason it’s not 1 star is the AC mercifully worked. Spend a little more and stay somewhere else.

Resourceful and comfortable
Pros:

It had a computer with a printer so I was able to get some rest and some tasks done with a complimentary hot chocolate and snack. Valarie was a gracious host receptionist

Cons:

Breakfast should be until 10 am and not 9 am on weekdays. We all have different reasons and purposes during our travels

We were in Mississippi visiting a nearby college. It worked out well!
Pros:

It was a great hotel, negating the interstate right outside. The good news is once the loud air conditioning turned on it drowned out the cars. Slept like a rock through most of the night, so that was great! Also, they have shower amenities. Ours had two body washes and no shampoo. No biggie, I had brought mine. Either way, overall pretty good stay!
