Beautiful location, lovely hotel, fantastic breakfast (with helpful attentive staff) and lovely infinity pool.
Despite booking a tour to Taormina and an Etna winery through the hotel months in advance, and being reassured all was booked (including a high chair) - we found out halfway through our day tour that the winery of our choice was not booked and was full so we were diverted to another “better more expensive winery” (which we were paying for!). So rather than going to Gambino (Google 4.9/5) we were redirected to Cantina Murgo 1860 (Google 4.4/5).
When checking out, the bill for the day tour appeared to have been reduced which, under the circumstances, would have been totally appropriate but i later found out that my guests, whose room I had booked and paid for, had had 1/2 the cost of the tour applied to their room without any discussion/ consultation! This was frankly very embarrassing!!
The reception desk, whilst helpful, were also pretty limited in their suggestions for local restaurants.

Beautiful luxury hotel with large rooms and an attentive staff. Thank you to Cristian, Antonino, and I believe her name was Marilisa but I might be getting the name wrong as I was in a rush when I asked, but those 3 as well as the rest of the staff made our stay very special. Perfect location as well.

There is very little to dislike.
I didn’t like the high service charge that is automatically added on to your bill.

Check you bill when checking out as they slip in a tax / tip non compulsory percentage for staff which i picked up on .
It is OPTIONAL but easy to miss .
I thought this was cheeky as id rather be asked and add it rather than just slip it in and not be noticed ?
The roof top is sensational but run by a bossy lady who can be annoying .
They take external bookings for the roof top and pool and do not prioritise hotel guests which i believe is unacceptable and poor !
Everything about our stay was absolutely perfect. The building is gorgeous, full of charm, beautifully kept, in a great location. The pool was heaven on a hot afternoon after having been out all day, however the staff are the real jewels in this hotel. Every single member of the team made us feel so welcome and went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. Can’t wait to come back.

Posizione spettacolare, servizio eccellente e una terrazza panoramica sul mare da togliere il fiato, perfetta per la colazione o un cocktail al tramonto. Un vero gioiello
Everything was perfect, the service and the commitment of everyone to satisfy any customer need is awesome, begging with the personnel of check in.
The room were clean, very fresh, very well illuminated, quiet, etc. The bed was very good and the pillows perfects.
Bathroom very nice with a good shower and extraordinary pressure.
The terrace offer an extraordinary view of the city and the bay, it is a must to have a Prosecco and enjoy the evening.
The location couldn’t be better and is just a steps from the most beautiful streets and restaurants of Ortigia.

The only down points is the “Tips” that is included in the checkout bill. For everything that I did I gave a tip, so I consider that is not necessary to include more tips in the checkout bill. I know that you can remove it, I did it, but is uncomfortable and not elegant asking for more tips in an hotel like this one, they should leave this type of uncomfortable situation to the USA culture, but in Europe this type of situation shouldn’t happen.
Excelente atención, personal muy amable y preocupados de los pasajeros. Las habitaciones muy cómodas, silenciosas, bien iluminadas y bien equipadas, con almohadas muy buenas y de pluma.
La ubicación óptima, todo es cerca y el área es bien turístico.
