Very luxurious hotel, in a fabulous location
Pros:

The roof top pool was lovely. The roof top bar has fabuolous views. Breakfast was delicious.

Cons:

3 different lifts was a bit of a faff

Stunning hotel with fabulous staff
Pros:

The hotel is absolutely beautiful looking across the sea and it is in a perfect position to explore the island of Ortigia and Syracuse itself. But what makes a hotel stay special is the being cared for, and the staff here are superb. Nothing is too much trouble for any of them, and they are warm and helpful and genuine towards you. The rooftop bar is divine, with its soft seats and breathtaking views. You can't help feeling like your in a dream sitting there watching the sun set. But don't miss taking time out for a sit by the pool and use the Spa facilities. The Spa has the most amazing hexaganol heated pool, which we relaxed in after a steam sauna and the most amazing showers called 'emotional showers', which have either lemon or mint scented water mist you during your shower. I have never experienced this before and it is superb. This hotel is stunning but made perfect by its people.

Cons:

Just a note. The spa girls will tell you the price of your treatment and immediately ask you 'sweetly' if you would like to leave a tip. This is very confronting and is an underhand way of taking the choice away from you as it is a form of ambush.

Pros:

Chambre et salle de bain magnifiques, piscine très agréable et très bel hôtel, extrêmement bien situé pour découvrir Syracuse à pied. Petit déjeuner largement fourni et délicieux.

Erstklassiges Hotel mit perfektem Service!
Pros:

Ein rundum fantastischer Aufenthalt im Grand Hotel Des Étrangers. Das Hotel ist wunderschön und das Personal bietet einen durchgehend exzellenten Service. Das Frühstück war hervorragend und ließ absolut keine Wünsche offen. Ein besonderes Lob gilt zudem dem erstklassigen und reibungslosen Valet-Service. Uneingeschränkte Weiterempfehlung – ich würde jederzeit wieder hier buchen!

Majoitus oli elegantin hieno upealla sijainnilla. Aamupala oli todella tasokas ja erityisesti ravintolan henkilökunta hyvin avuliaita ja ystävällisiä. Spa osasto oli hieno.

Cons:

Hotellin uima-allas oli valitettavasti pois käytöstä. Ulkouima-allas oli yksi syy, miksi olin hotellin valinnut, joten tämä luonnollisesti harmitti. Tästä olisi mieleistä voinut informoida heti check-in yhteydessä.

L’accueil des clients, le portier par le français, très aimable, le petit déjeuner, Excellent, les chambres d’un confort absolu, le personnel du petit déjeuner au petit soins, lit très confortable et chambre silencieuse, les petites attentions l’après-midi, nous avions des petits gâteaux au chocolat portés dans la chambre
