Great deal. Great people. Great stay.
Pros:

This is a charming older hotel that feels like a throwback to the 50s, but not in a bad way. The location is really convenient since we could walk to hundreds of restaurants, shops, activities and the beach. The front desk staff and door-men are incredibly welcoming, friendly, and helpful- especially Macy, Shayla, and Robert who always greeted us with a warm smile. The lobby is large and comfortable which is especially important if you have to wait until later in the day to check-in. There's a water dispenser, comfortable couches, games and bathrooms. The pool as noted previously is small, however, we were often the only people at the pool and there were plenty of comfortable chairs and recliners. The elevators are super fast. We stayed in room 907 which was fairly spacious and had two queen beds; a kitchenette; a large dresser; a countertop and chairs which we used for our laptop; a good sized closet; and a balcony with a very pretty view of the canal and the mountain. The pillows were too thick for my liking but the mattress was adequately comfortable. The decor is old and dated but it didn't lessen out enjoyment of the room. The bathroom is also old, kind of beat up and dated, however the shower was spacious and had a good shower head, water pressure and plenty of hot water. If you are looking for a very reasonably priced hotel in a fantastic location with wonderful staff, this may be just the place!

Cons:

The TV in our room had no streaming options or cable- just local stations, and the remote did not work properly even though it was replaced once. The bedding really should be replaced as it was fairly warn with some noticeable stains. In the outdoor space near the front door to the hotel, there are several tables and chairs which were dirty and didn't appear to have been cleaned in a while. There is a fair amount of noise heard at night from the canal road. Honolulu must not have a noise ordinance because everywhere there were motorcycles revving their engines, and bikers with carts blasting music.

It was okay. It served its purpose. It was not bad, it was pleasant and well priced for Waikiki
Pros:

Staff, location, free tea n coffee and microwave and frig in room. Also the complimentary chair and umbrella

Cons:

No cameras in the hallways, beds hard, beady sheets, not as clean as it could’ve been (bathroom soap shelves) sink drained slowly, had to change rooms due to dirty headboard, bathroom shelves, dirt on sheet, black stuff in the shower floor from the water or the drain backing up.
