Great Stay!
Pros:

Amazing location to downtown, the Magnificent Mile, the river walk, etc. We walked to breakfast and dinner every day. Our kiddo was exceptionally pleased that the Harry Potter store was around the corner a couple of blocks. We requested a high floor with a city view and we were very pleased.

Cons:

The Starbucks was closed and under renovation, and the lobby is extremely small and cramped during high traffic times.

Not new but clean with excellent service
Pros:

The pros: Great location. Easily walkable to lots. Friendly and attentive front desk staff who are very centered on customer service. Front desk delivered requested items to room quickly. The room was clean and spacious. Nice gym with lots of equipment. Fast elevators.

The cons: My weirdest complaint is kind of my own fault. There was a mixup with our booking and we were originally out in the wrong kind of room. When I went downstairs to have them change our room they asked if we minded an ADA shower. I envisioned a roll in shower. What we actually got was a shower so small you couldn’t move in it. There was a rear mounted fold down bench taking up space on the back wall. The shower gel, etc was mounted in the middle of the wall. In the front there were shower bars. Then side of the shower where the faucet is was a handheld mounted shower head. It stuck out about 6”. With all of these pieces there was a spot in the middle you could stand and barely turn around rubbing on the shower curtain.
Aside from that, the hotel isn’t newly renovated. There are chips, dings and scratches. The bathroom a vanity was tiny. The pool is very small. For some weird reason there was a lot of vocal noise heard in the bathroom, but not the bedroom. The towels are thin and not at all absorbent. We were constantly waiting on the valet service.
