Has major drawbacks, but is Clean and Comfortable and Quiet
Pros:

The best thing about SLC Hotel was the super comfortable bed and pillows. The towels were new, very white and fluffy. The hotel room and bathroom were super clean and big. The staff was great and the breakfast was good. They even had real butter. We had no traffic noise, and I'm guessing none of the rooms have traffic noise, even though the hotel is fairly close to the main freeway. I also felt safe.

Cons:

This hotel is strange, because half the walls and furnishings are new and half are really old, in a mix/matched sort of way. Our tub/shower looked brand new and so clean, but the showerhead was cheap and was also not connected correctly, so I had a terrible shower. But after I finished, my husband got it installed correctly. The worst part was the showerhead. Second worst part was that in the morning, the elevator went out of order overnight, so we had to haul all our luggage down the stairs from the third floor to the car. Also a negative: plugs for charging, etc., are minimal and not handy.

Really good value!
Pros:

Breakfast was great! Staff were nice. There were some vending machines and a jug of water. The room layout was so nice and comfortable. They are remodeling some things so their pool and gym were not open, but you were able to use the hotel next door's facilities! They don't plan to service your room everyday which I love because it is more environmentally friendly. You can request service though! The Charlie's Chicken next door had good food and there was also a Thai place if you don't want to venture far for a meal!

Cons:

There was not a mini fridge in the room and the wallpaper in the bathroom needs a cosmetic update.
