We have made a trip to Smoky Mountains just before Thanksgiving and stayed in this resort for 4 nights. Rooms and Bathrooms were really small. I’ve booked 1 Bedroom suite with Half kitchen at this property and overall experience was not that great. Room was at such a location where we can hear noises of people walking in corridor. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools are awesome. Also hot water tub was also great.
Resort very nice! Lots to do. But when you go to check in you have to pick up wristbands. DO NOT let them bully you into a so called 30 minute presentation! And don’t give them a credit card! It was at least an hour mess trying to get checked in and had three grandchildren with me! They did not care!
Unit had recently been redone, large rooms, well furnished, kitchen had everything we needed. Location was great, we were able to get to Gatlinburg and the park with minable problems. They had activities planned for all ages. Grounds well kept. Walmart across the street. Staff responded to request.
This is a very nice resort! We had a great time in a great area.
Amenities such as pool, miniature golf and Karioki night. Family enjoyed all of the options
More Handicap parking, but still would stay again.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom condo and it’s one of the nicest units we’ve ever stayed in. It’s clean and over 1100 sq feet. But the check in here is probably the worst and the guy (wish I got his name). Was the most aggressive and absolutely refused to allow us to get to our room. The only way I was able to get him to get out of our way and let us go was to create a scene. He was unbelievably rude and arrogant and after I finally got away from him he yelled enjoy paying those fees. Stay at this property for its luxury BUT beware of the check in.
The 2 bedroom apartment. The pool, hot tub and Sauna.
Since I booked through a 3rd party(Booking.com) I was required to go through a time share meeting. Was no informed of this prior to booking.
The unit was great actually, but if you are unfortunate enough to stay in building 20 or 21, bring ear pro - road noise make restful sleep impossible. You're certainly not sleeping in. The property, in general, was fine. The sales pitch was everything you hate about timeshare sales, multiplied. Worse that it was presented as an opportunity to better use existing ownership. It was not - at all. I don't know why we're surprised.
We had a blast. The rooms were spacious and we fell in love with tennessee. The jacuzzi was broken and they came right out and fixed it.
Completely enjoyed our stay . The staff were very friendly and honest. Our condo was clean and well situated to enjoy the surrounding area.
This was easily the worst travel experience I’ve ever had.
At check-in, I was told there was a mandatory new owner meeting tied to viewing and presales that would last “30 minutes.” I made it clear I was in town for my son’s wedding the next day and had a packed schedule. Despite that, the concierge insisted attendance was required and charged a $40 deposit.
The reality was completely different.
The “30-minute” meeting turned into a five-hour, high-pressure sales presentation built on misleading and contradictory claims. I was told that due to recent Florida legislation, I needed to restructure my ownership into a trust to avoid special assessments, and that they couldn’t notify me because they “didn’t have my email on file.” This was presented as urgent and necessary.
None of it held up.
After hours of pressure, while exhausted and trying to get back to important family commitments, I felt pushed toward signing an additional $41,000 purchase just to end the situation. When we got to the paperwork, there was no mention of the trust restructuring that had been the entire basis of the conversation. When I questioned it, the explanation suddenly changed to “you’ve always been in the trust,” directly contradicting what I had been told for hours.
That’s when I walked away.
To make matters worse, the sales pitch included suggestions like opening credit cards and selling points for gift cards, which only reinforced how questionable the entire process was.
This wasn’t a simple misunderstanding. It was a deliberate, high-pressure sales experience built on misinformation, delivered despite clear communication about time constraints and the importance of my visit.
I came for my son’s wedding. Instead, I lost five hours to something that should never have been presented as “mandatory.”
My advice to anyone staying here:
* Do not agree to any “mandatory” meetings
* Do not pay deposits for presentations
* Get everything in writing before committing your time
This experience took away from what should have been one of the most important weekends of my life.
Great first visit to the Smokey Mountains. The property is well located to all the attractions but far enough out that not in the height of the tourist crowds. Also very nice room, views and amenities offered all across the property
The resort is really big, the room we had was in building 22 across the street from the main check in. Beautiful 2 bedroom and bathroom, with a full kitchen, living room and a nice balcony, with a view. The room was really nice, lots of new updates. The section had its own pool, indoor and outdoor. A nice recreation area. The service is really good.
Don’t let them tell you they want to Upgrade your RCI website to Wyndham. It’s a ploy to sell you Wyndham travel
The resort is in a good location, but it is someone outdated and most of the condos. Do not have a good view. They only have a view of the parking lot.
Everything was great
Checking in was a little congested
First with the bad. I checked in quickly and was sent to get my room keys. Took 40 minutes while they insisted I needed to go to this meeting for RCI members. They kept offering different gifts and would not just take no for an answer. The good. Everything was great. Pools were warm. Staff was friendly and the maintenance team was plentiful, friendly and quick to respond. We accidently locked ourselves out of the bedroom and they were there in less than 5 minute. This was at 11pm
