Ottima posizione, personale molto cordiale e colazione eccellente, ci hanno dato addirittura due suite bellissimi anzi che le classiche camere che abbiamo prenotato
The friendly staff looked after us from the moment we got there, and kindly upgraded us to a beautiful comfortable suite with a stunning pool and sea view, and the most breathtaking view of the sunrise in the morning. The room, hotel and poolside is spotlessly clean and peaceful. The breakfast, dinners and drinks were so varied and delicious, an amazing selection. The pools are gorgeous and the access to the beach was a highlight for me with crystal clear waters. We were only there for 2 nights but heard other guests saying they went on incredible day trips organised by the hotel and although we didn’t use the spa it looked so lovely. This was one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Thank you Royal Azur Thalassa for making our holiday in Tunisia so special! I only wish we stayed longer … next time!
Loved the communal areas (library, outdoor and indoor pools, bar area). The access to the beach was lovely, rooms were very modern and had good amenities.
Access to food, we stayed 2 nights and were only able to access the buffet restaurant. The Tunisian one was fully booked and the Italian one closed.
We recently returned from this amazing hotel, we were delighted at the service we had from all of the staff at this hotel, our room was always cleaned my the lovely friendly ladies, we drank delicious gin and tonics, attended by cheerful ,highly efficient waiting staff in all 3 restaurants. Our greeting as we arrived was professional and as has been mentioned before, our room was not ready, but as this was around midday, it's no surprise, when and where do you get into your room before 3pm in the u.k. Give the staff a break. We were told to go have our lunch and a drink and come back in an hour, no problem, and yes it was all ready for us.
We were to stay at the hotel over Valentine's day, oh my goodness, we were totally awestruck by the standard and selection of food on offer, from the chocolates and cocktails to start in the bar to the sushi, oysters, savoury
macarons not to mention the dessert section. The chefs at this hotel consistently produce amazing food on a daily basis not just high days and holidays, the displays are always kept fresh and topped up, although when and how , I don't know, they are like fairies, you never see them. We have stayed at many 5* all inclusive hotels world wide, this rates in my top 3. Just fantastic.
My 4 stars are unfortunately down to the indoor pool, which I do realise that it is the sister hotels , however it is advertised as a facility available to royal azur customers, I have worked in the sport and leisure industry for over 30 years, I was shocked at the laziness and complacency of the staff by the pool, when I asked for a towel the attendant/lifeguard just pointed to a cupboard, which was empty apart from a few scraps of what we're once called towels, he then indicated he would get some, I wait for sometime on a sun bed for him to bring me one, when this didn't happen I decided to go for a swim, as said towel did not arrive on my sunbed , (some 10 to 15 paces from him, ) I asked again , only to be pointed towards the cupboard again where my towel lay. This is not my main complaint, although annoying. The 3 young men seemed to be stuck to their chairs, they not once walked around the pool, they could not see the children's pool from their position, even though there was a chair over there. A rope had been strung across the pool, I assume as a barrier to stop children drifting into deeper water, ha ha , a joke, I understand parents need to take responsibility for their children, but accidents still happen, and if they were not there to lifeguard or hand out towels, because they certainly weren't serving drinks at the Swimup bar, what were they there for.I
I regret the sour ending to my review, but isn't this what reviews are for.
The hotel is better than its sister hotel the Bel Azur next door. You can go there but the Bel Azur holidaymakers can’t go to the Royal Azur. The staff hardly ever come and take drink orders unless you’re a big tipper. The sea is warm and great for a swim in November, which is just as well as the ‘heated’ pool is cold. I went in once and it definitely was NOT heated. In the 2 weeks we were there we saw 3 people in the pools. We would go again but the pool needs to be heated properly. All the pools are the same temperature- freezing.
Tout. Buffet varié et bon. Chambre spacieuse et calme. Super vue sur la mer. Chanteuse super le soir et bon spectacle le samedi soir.
