Nice view
Didn’t like that my room wasn’t ready when I arrived. I had to push plans back because it took over an hour in half to just get inside my room.
Great views
One of the Elevators was not working or I would have given a 10
Location...view....breakfast...pool...
Bed sheets were damp and produced a mildrew smell on me...and clothes...also 1 elevator was not working leaving 1 elevator on a holiday weekend ..and staff not allowing use of stairs...but usually my stays go smoother....j
This used to be a great hotel with incredible staff and service. We were patient as it took forever to fix the pool, but now it is a disappointing experience. No chairs on the balcony, they make you sign out a pool towel (nothing says welcome--like we think you are going to steal this so sign it out and we will charge you $25 if you don't return it), things in the room were broken (dresser and the lamps had rust), and the hallways were uncomfortably hot. The focus is no longer the guest experience, but how to make and save $ and cut corners. So sad as I truly enjoyed staying here in the past.
The first red flag was when I got to the lobby. One elevator was out service. When I got to my room lamps were broken, drawers also was not closing, rug was super old and looked dirty. The toilet was not working and when I opened the door for shower , a lot mildew. The experience was not pleasant at all. I was there for 2 nights and I checked my account and I was being double charged in my card and I try to explain it to manager and he no it ok. I let for the charge to posted after waiting day and definitely was a double charges. Try to contact the hotel and still waiting for the manager to call me back. So no I didn’t have good service. The wait to go up the elevator was so long.
Don’t go here! The views are great and beach is lovely but it had very little staff, long waits for check in, and the one working elevator (and no stairs available to guests) caused long waits there. It wasn’t very clean and I wouldn’t recommend.
If you're a Hyatt member, this property isn't up to par with most Hyatt Places. Being beachfront is nice but the hotel needs a face-lift.
Worst Hyatt I have ever stayed at.. actually worst hotel! Only one working elevator during spring break rush. All guests and employees would be waiting in long lines to get to their floor. There are stairs outside but you can only go down them since the room keys don’t work to get into the building from the stairs. Only one washing machine and dryer working for the entire building. Housekeeping never came to switch out towels or empty garbages in the room. Toilet only flushed when it wanted to. Some of the dresser drawers would just keep opening and all of the handles were beyond dirty. The thermostat in our room stopped working and was stuck on 74. Staff were sleeping during the night with a sign out saying they were resting. When staff were around they were too busy on their phones to acknowledge you. No customer service what so ever. Breakfast buffet was always empty and there were never enough plates. They don’t keep Pennies in stock so when you would owe less than 5 cents they would just charge you a little extra. They also won’t exchange cash for quarters for their own washer and dryer. We had to walk down to 7-eleven. The cleaning staff were rude and wouldn’t move their cart out of the hallway for us to get our broken luggage cart down.. and the hallways are too narrow for both to pass each other. There were people smoking weed inside the building and staff did nothing about it. Overall very outdated building and poor management. The women who seemed to be some sort of manager looked like an escort and wore the same black dress with heels during our entire stay. I would give this hotel -100/10 of if I could. Definitely do not recommend!
If you call them they will act like they can’t hear you and then hang up. Tried booking a room multiple times
Clean loved complimentary breakfast
Only one elevator was working 😞
One elevator did not work properly, one did. Causing massive lines and delays trying to get to and from our rooms. Ice machine on floor did not work. Staff was extremely loud cleaning the rooms slamming doors repeatedly. No chairs on balcony. Outlets in room barely worked. WiFi was extremely slow and had poor connectivity issues our whole stay. Pool towel checkout and check in was inconvenient and time consuming. People smoking by the pool while children were present. People smoking weed in their room on our floor. Not enough chairs by the pool, causing people to leave or have to go down to the beach and find somewhere to sit or lay. Have had much better experiences at other Hyatt properties, even this one in the past.
Location and view is great!
Location, view and breakfast are great! Other than that one of the elevators were out of service. We put a request for Anniversary and no one say happy Anniversary at Check In time. And because it was a Hyatt we expect more.
Wonderful ocean view with immediate access to the beach, but unfortunately that's where the Hyatt experience ends. The service, food offered, and overall facilities in the hotel were below any other Hyatt I have been at both in the U.S. and internationally. Check in was alright. But the room had no shampoo and body wash; when I asked for that it took over 45 minutes to bring it and two calls. One of the two elevators wasn't working and when guests raised the issue staff - they were non-plussed. Other staff didnlt know where stuff was in the hotel (outdoor showers to clean up from the sand before coming in). Breakfast food was dry (was it reheated from the day before?). Fruits were covered with corn syrup (why??; isn't the point to have a healthy food option??).
