Brilliant
Modern, clean, spacious, excellent staff, very good on-site restaurant/pub.
For those walking the Pilgrim Way, be aware that this hotel is located off the motorway. While a bus stops nearby, it is well off the path.
We love Village Hotels and was looking forward to our stay at Maidstone Village Hotel. We were so disappointed it was not like any other Village Hotels we’ve stayed in. The club room was nice but not as nice as other Villages. The restaurant was very noisy, cluttered, unwiped tables, spilt drinks on the floor. Unable to hear what staff were saying due to TV’s with football on, TV’s with F1. Three dart matches taking place and loud music. It was all too much. It was busy and clearly the staff could not keep up. Our food was ok but not as we have had in other Village Hotels. Our sleep was interrupted by other noisy guests, 3am shouting, doors slamming etc. so all in all we were disappointed but we will stay at Village Hotels again but NOT Maidstone.
Village Hotel Maidstone has everything you need, so there’s really no need to go out. There’s a pub, restaurant, Starbucks, gym, large pool, sauna and steam room all on site. The staff are excellent, and the rooms are clean with very comfortable beds.
No cot despite request, they said baby can sleep on floor!!
You can’t beat the village
Staff
Dirty glasses in room when we arrived there was three people staying in room only two cups and two dirty glasses We arrived late at night and wanted to shower No shower Gel it was empty. As it was late we couldn’t see any staff to ask . We had to use hand soap . We asked to have this sorted the next day Only two cups arrived. By this time I’d had enough and just gave up. The hotel bedrooms are very poor. We were going to a party in the hotel and we had four coat hangers for all our dresses and other clothes I wouldn’t stay again.
Room was very clean
1.Booking in, not everyone is used to or happy with a self booking system especially when you're a certain age, even some of the young had problems
2.The hotel is under renovation, didn't get notice of this when booking, one of our group had a broken foot having to use the lift to the second floor then walk the length of the building then going down a floor using the fire escape wasn't pleasant,
3.Service in the bar, ordering by app, took ages to get the food, missing items, missing drinks were a pain as you had to queue up at the bar to ask where they were, after the food was finished took ages for any staff to clear the tables even though a number of staff walked past
Les lits incroyables !
Les travaux en cours mais il faut bien les faire…
What great superb value and super. Clean hotel breakfast fabulous quality and plenty evening meals a bit pricey tho
very good hotel all around, pool and gym if you want it. all you can eat full breakfast with many options/selections
Beds comfortable
When i booked i didn't realise it was a sports bar, stupidly. The terrific noise which greated us whilst a football match was on was deafening. When we came down to dinner it was still on and was advised to come back later. When we could eventually eat, we ordered steak and ale pie, mash and peas. Disgusting. Doubt there was ale in there, pastry rock hard, mash congealed and frozen hard peas floating in copious amounts of watery gravy. Too polite to complain. Would never reccomend staying there unless you like extreme noise, and tasteless food. Staff were miserable too!!
Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Clean rooms. Delicious dinners. Good breakfast.
