Pool and spa were nice
Very disappointed that the kids could not use the spa after 6pm. It did not make this clear on the website and the kids had been travelling and looking forward to a swim all day.
No tables to put bags in the room

The mattress wasn’t very confortable
My hubby and I booked for a relaxing getaway, and that was what we had. The atmosphere was very chilled out, the spa was lovely, and the food was brilliant.
Wish the adult and kids pools were separated, but there was plenty of allocate time for adults only.

Had to pay £30 for 2 swims - the pool water looked dirty. Room dated but clean.

Had to wait an hour after check in time before gaining access to the room . No access to spa facilities due to booking with booking.com. A guest is a guest !!

Spa facilities were great and breakfast options were really lovely. We ordered poached eggs which were perfect and even tried the ice cream bar which the kids loved at the Parsons pub! Tennis courts included which was a nice addition plus a movie night in the bean bag cinema made this hotel one to remember
Spa cost indicates that you can use for 48 hours for £30 but in fact you can only book 1 hour per day.
The dressing gowns were not in the room on arrival but I requested them and they were brought over which was lovely.

The hotel inside is very grandiose and lovely. The lady that served us on arrival plus the ladies working the restaurant for dinner on Monday were the nicest of the staff we came across. The room was clean and lovely. Breakfast was delicious. Treatments at the spa were great.
The rest of the staff we encountered weren’t rude, and I certainly don’t think they needed to be smiling all the time, but we did feel like we weren’t really acknowledged. For example, on our first morning at breakfast, no one asked for our room number when we arrived, so we didn’t realise that we had ended up sitting at a table that hadn’t been prepared. When we asked for some cutlery, we were made to feel as though we were the problem.
It was a little similar in the spa, where even checking us in to use the facilities seemed like a chore. The funny thing is that we rarely ask for anything, so it was particularly noticeable when simply providing the basic service seemed to be an issue.
One other thing I would mention, especially with the recent heatwaves, is that it would be lovely if a fan could be provided, as the room doesn’t appear to have air conditioning. It does get quite warm, even with the window open. And if fans and aircon are actually available, we didn’t know that, partly because by that point we were a little reluctant to ask, as we were already feeling like we were a bit of a nuisance for just being a guest.
