Disabled room, long way from entrance, bed was on wheel, quite unsuitable for disabled use
Good location for shopping
The spa facilities (notably swimming pool and tennis courts) were lovely and numbers were kept to a comfortable size during kids times so that kids can really enjoy swimming and playing in the pool. The main restaurant, FYR, was great and the food delicious. Staff at both the restaurant and hotel were great, they provided excellent service.
The toiletries and robes in the rooms are also very good quality.
The rooms could do with an upgrade to truly be 4*. The TVs really need to be smart TVs these days and while the shower is powerful and good to use the bathroom as a whole could do with an upgrade, starting with a shower screen rather than a curtain as the curtain gets in the way.
Staff were friendly and helpful
Selected a signature room but when I got there the room I was given didn’t look like the picture in the website. It was a big room with seperated living and bedroom areas, but it was very old room and looked really run down. There were different coloured marks on the carpet and the bathroom was old, had discoloured grouting with what looked like mould around it and the shower head was covered in limescale and didn’t look like it had been cleaned.
After a long evening of traveling I just wanted a clean and comfortable room and so I went to reception and asked if there was another room available and told them why. The gentlemen on the front desk was very kind and didn’t make me feel like I was being difficult for asking to swap and moved me to an ‘upgraded room’. The new room was much more modern and looked more like the pictures on the website and looked clean. It was a comfortable nights stay and the staff were helpful and accommodating.
They should make you aware if they are putting you in an older room as the pictures on the website do not show those types of rooms.
The hotel was warm and clean and the room was clean and perfectly suitable, coffee machine was a nice touch along with high end toiletries.
I wasn't expecting to have to pay an additional fee to use the gym & spa with the price of the room. This is usually included in expensive over night rooms.
Everything was perfect, helpfull staff, relaxing atmosphere and great food.

Staff were super friendly, room was lovely & clean and very large. Bed was super comfy and loved the choice of pillows!
Food in the onsite restaurant was excellent and can recommend.
Breakfast was lovely and lots of choice but I do not like a Buffett and prefer a plated option.
Clean and the room was a good size. There was a step in the room which was a bit treacherous as a family room with a two year old…
We chose for the facility’s a pool but felt £15 per night for residents was expensive.
The restaurant prices were expensive. We were also charged for our granddaughters breakfast - almost £8 for an egg sausage and some beans- for a 2 year old.

Nicely appointed Spa hotel which is very close to the M27 and very convenient for Portsmouth ferry terminal which we were using. It has onsite car parking behind a barrier and offers late check in which we needed. All staff were friendly and helpful. The buffet style breakfast also has an excellent selection of choices including gluten free cereals snd soya milks.
The shower was fixed head over the bath with curtain which is not the easiest to use for us older guests.
Whilst it was good having tea/coffee facilities in the room if you want milk first thing in the morning you have to get it from a dispenser in the public corridor.

Had a very enjoyable stay. The spa and fitness facilities were excellent. I enjoyed the breakfast.
The breakfast and access to spa and fitness were extra cost. It was a bit of a faff completing a daily health declaration before being allowed to access the spa and fitness.
