The restaurant food was good, but a little thought could have made it excellent, it was a bit “pub grub” style and not freshly made stuff, which was a pity as I’m sure the staff were up to providing that bit more, given the opportunity.

Room was spacious, spa was incredible
Had a spa and afternoon tea booked and was left for an hour in the restaurant ignored whilst 4 members of staff stood chatting. I asked at 30 minutes if I could have a cup of tea and then another 30 minutes passed before food was bought out. I am still awaiting a call back to discuss with someone and it has been two weeks. Very disappointing customer service.

The location always convenient and served its purpose but doubt will stay again! After 20yrs of staying at least 1-2 a year the service is appauling , no loyalty and fog you off every time with those awful ground floor rooms with tatty wood furnishings , AC never works, can't open windows, depresssing rooms definitely need refurbishment
As usual I arrive after I had booked months ago and I get given a dark old room down the back on ground floor and it was a heatwave ! No Ac it was broken , plus unable to open the French doors as opened onto parked cars! I refused to stay in there. Why not change those useless doors to windows ! Plus refurbish the room it's been the same for 20yrs.
I will add that the young man I think called jack was very patient with me and found me a room on 2nd floor which had AC thou can't say it's really powerful enough plus room again had some random old tatty desk amongst an attempt to update the room!
Whoever designs the rooms need to go on a training course as no eye to detail or flair for hotel rooms.
Attentive staff and thoughtful additions. In particular the free ice cream and the real milk in the rooms with a great selection of teas and coffee.

It’s a lovely hotel, with some investment into the rooms and decor this would be a fab hotel.
Great hotel, the rooms are a little tired now, I have heard it’s due for a refurb, ideal to visit New Forest, Portsmouth, Southampton and the Isle of Wight, the restaurant is great the food is amazing, the staff are knowledgeable and friendly

The hotel has a large swimming pool, Sauna, Steam Room and Spa where they offer a wide range of treatments.
Great spa experience with Grace today. Lovely treatment in a lovely relaxed room. She was very good and would go again
I had a quick meet up with a business colleague who kindly bought us coffee. A word of warning, the car park has plenty of space but I was charged £6.00 parking for just over an hour. If one spends £10.00 in the hotel parking isn't chargeable . It really isn't made that clear either in the car park or within the hotel, and isn't an issue if you're a resident or having food. But many people must use it as a meeting point as I did. I am still unclear whether it is a flat £6.00 charge or increases by the hour.
I have just had a great shoulder and head massage with Izzy.
She was a delight to talk to and her massage was great, with good pressure as I had requested.

I have stayed here loads for work. This time I booked through booking.com as work system was down. To be told on arrival even though price qas same on solent system I have to pay extra for spa and gym one main reason why I stay and I dont understand why different systems you get different access and facilities. Also I qas given room by door lots of banging. So I do wonder if its because I booked using this app. If you going to treat customers different dont use booking .com. very disappointing
Fresh milk and water. Lovely shower and very clean alqays parking and speedy check ons.
Stayed here on there cruise package, sasha in the restraunt and Andrew on reception really stood out with fantastic customer service, friendly and helpful.
All round nice stay, clean room and lovely vibe.
