Lovely guesthouse perfectly situated in the heart of the shopping street. Front desk was professional and welcoming. The room and bathroom were of good size. The mattress was especially comfortable. No breakfast but coffee and tea were included and in free service all day in the lobby. Possibility to park (for a fee), very convenient. The little extra: 10% discount at the
good restaurant « La Voile » at the hotel's basement.

The location was great for exploring Back Bay, access to restaurants and shopping. There was no breakfast, but there were several options within easy walking distance. The room was small but comfortable.
I wish that there had been a breakfast available, but the coffee station in the lobby made up for some of that. The bed was also softer than I like and my husband and I both woke sore and a bit stiff.
The hotel is just wonderful. Great location. Great service.

I would only have good things to say, if it weren’t so incredibly expensive. It just wasn’t the kind of luxury place that should’ve cost as much as it did.

It's my third time staying at Newbury Guest House. The location is ideal for a walking vacation; short walk to both the Amtrak station and the MBTA, on a street filled with restaurants and shops. The hotel is charming, with updated rooms and comfortable beds. I stayed on the Newbury St side, and while there was some noise from the road below, the ambiance is worth it. I could not hear noise from other rooms. My room was tidied daily during my stay. No breakfast, but coffee, tea and water available downstairs. No surprise charges on your bill.
