Nada
Newbury Guest House is a great place to stay if you’re looking for the Newbury Street scene. Having parking available to purchase was a must considering how busy this area is! It’s a quick walk to several cafes, restaurants and high end shopping like Chanel. It’s also a short walk to the Prudential Center and the metro making it a good central hub for shopping, night life and as a base for launching out to explore the greater city and all Boston has to offer.
This is a great below-the-radar hotel in the heart of Boston’s Newberry Street. Quiet, excellent sheets and bedding, great complimentary coffee and a wonderful, personalized staff.
Folks, I had the worst experience of my life in this hotel. For the record, I am a seasoned traveler for work and I make about 2-3 trips per month. I have been doing this for >20 years. The room I was given had an elevator shaft going through it. These are old buildings and they had to take space from rooms to put the elevator shaft. It was very noisy and bc the hotel is in a old building, the entire building creaks when the elevator goes up and down. I certainly did not book the room with an elevator shaft. I asked for another room, but it was not available. Then I said I could not stay overnight due to noise. It would be impossible to sleep with that noise. The front desk person said they would refund me (which I thought was very nice at first and I thought problem solved). However, I came home to find they charged my credit card in full for the night! I was never emailed a receipt for this charge. I called back several times to try to resolve the problem and nobody ever called me back! The call goes straight to voicemail. I am stuck with a full price of the room and no receipt! Trying to resolve it through visa and my bank now. So be aware that you may have a very bad experience here
Nice boutique hotel in Backbay. Enjoyed the neighborhood and lively atmosphere. Good location from which to explore Boston. On-site parking a plus.
Charming boutique hotel in the heart of Bostons Backbay . Surrounded by quaint shops, restaurants and small coffee shops , it’s very walkable . We had a great time inside and outside the hotel and will definitely be back . Thank you
Fantastic location! Walkable to Fenway, Eataly and lots of shops and restaurants. Front desk staff was very helpful and attentive. Loved the complimentary coffee bar and the well appointed room. Looking forward to returning soon
Excellent staff, comfortable beds, decent sized rooms, fun location
Rooms could use some modern updates, like an Apple TV option and more convenient outlets for charging.
Everything you read from the reviews is true. The guesthouse is super well located on Newbury street, arguably the loveliest street in Boston, in the heart of Back Bay, an extremely lovely brownstone neighborhood. The guesthouse is super cozy and comfy, and beautifully decorated. No breakfast is offered but you are basically in the middle of everything so great opportunity to explore around. Parking is convenient as well. Cannot be happier with the guesthouse
Nothing
Boutique-style inn with excellent staff and very comfortable beds. Front desk staff was so warm and helpful - it really made our first visit to Boston a positive experience! Rooms were very clean and comfortable. You can't beat the location! Restaurants and shops were all around, but it was also easy to walk to museums, the public gardens, the Freedom Trail, public transit, and the Hop On/Hop Off City tour trolley. Just be aware: no breakfast and no in-room coffee machine (although the hotel provides several coffee and tea options in the lobby all day long).
Amazing location, friendly, comfortable
Все понравилось! Можно было немного по цене подвинутся с учетом того что нет завтрака. А так все замечательно
What I loved most about Newbury Guest House was its perfect location in the heart of Back Bay. The hotel is charming, clean, and comfortable, with friendly staff who make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Everything is within walking distance, including great restaurants, cafés, shopping, and many of Boston’s main attractions. It offers a genuine Boston experience!
What I did not like was that the hotel does not offer breakfast, which was somewhat inconvenient. The rooms were on the smaller side, especially if you have large suitcases, and the stairs can be challenging for elderly guests or anyone with mobility issues.
