Room was very different two seperate floors

location was good. hotel was basic but clean.
The staff at check-in was very gruff... while they weren't exactly rude, but they were definitely not friendly. When we initially arrived, there was no one at the front desk but several people (very casually dressed so not at all obvious to us that they were staff) hanging around in the lobby. When they realized we needed tocheck in they seemed irritated that they had to get up and come around to the other side of the counter. CHeck-in was relatively easy. Although, they only offered us one key even though there were two of us in the room. There were only two towels in the room for a multi day stay and we had to ask the housekeeping staff for extra towels. They also have an unusually high incidentals charge/hold.
Close to many areas within Oceanside. The price was decent and staff were good. The room we received had a unique layout with the bedroom being on a higher level than the living and kitchen.
You need cash for deposits, in today's technology world not many people carry cash around... this needs to be changed!!! Although the outside of the facility looked decent, the inside was poorly maintained (not dirty)... Bathroom curtain rod was about to fall off and out of 4 or 5 light bulbs in the kitchen only one was functional.
Cleaning people were great location.
Place is run down . I have stayed there many times over the years. It's not the same Young lady at front desk is rude and don't care. Clean people were great.
Size of the room.
The room and the hallways were a "sauna"! My room was so hot upon check-in I had to request another room with a better blowing A/C.
The "semi-continental" breakfast only had fresh, hot coffee one day. I alerted the desk attendant who said it was the housekeeping staff's job.
The horrible smell coming from the stairs between 1st & 2nd floor.
The rooms where clean
I showed up at around 9:55PM
The receptionist was a young lady. Very bad attitude. She spoke with some sort of angry tone. I almost felt like I was bothering her because I wanted to check in. On top of that the receptionist dress code. The receptionist look like they are street kids. With their baggy shirts and fitted hats and sweatpants.
How close it was to the beach only a 15 minute walk and very quite at night
The location of this property was awesome. You can’t beat this price for how close you are to the beach. The rooms were nice and big.
It was a little inconvenient not being able to use any of the doors except for the front door. The is no air conditioning in the lobby or hallways and when we got there it wasn’t on in our rooms so it took a bit to cool down. Our air conditioner was broken in one of our rooms but the staff was able to switch rooms for us. We also found a shirt in one of our rooms from a previous guest which made us question the cleanliness a little bit.
Staff overall was friendly. There was one staff member that was in her own moods bit everyone else was good
Hall way was hot. Thank Goodness Ac worked in the room.
Room didn't get cleaned daily but we're open to cleaning if requested.
No breakfast.
