For a well known hotel brand, We didn’t get the overall value for the money that we paid. A lot of improvements that are
Pros:

Close to shops and pubs.

Cons:

Thin pillows, dusty duvet (had an allergic reaction after sleeping for one night only, I feel like the bed cover and duvet are not sanitized well, my partner and I had been sneezing after our first night) , slippery floor mat (it was sticky at first but as you shower it became slippery and we had to remove it instead as it is more dangerous to use them while having a shower. Not too friendly staff (a smile would go a long way, we had ask one staff from the breakfast venue for a hot water, for a our tea, we kinda approached her to ask for a hot water for the tea but her reply was to ask someone else and not her, they all wear the same uniform how on earth do we know who should we approach? Fire alarm goes off in the middle of the night for no apparent reason. Our room was kinda behind a utility closet, whenever someone takes something from that closet we could hear a loud bang in our room. Over all we didn’t get the full value of our money. There are some good hotels out there for the same price but with more value.

Good hotel in a great town
Pros:

Great location on the banks of the Shannon with free parking and an easy walk to the restaurants, bars and boat tour departures. Lots of room in the reception and bar areas and weather permitting you can sit on the veranda and enjoys watching the boars go by on the Shannon.
Rooms spacious with a decent shower.

Cons:

Lack of power outlets in the room means it is difficult to charge phones, laptops and the tea maker is located in a ridiculous place as there are no power outlets available.

Great price, great service and excellent customer care
Pros:

It was modern, spacious and perfect.. the staff were amazing and very professional and always looking to help …
We ate every night in the marina club the food and drinks were 10/10

I cannot wait to visit again

Great view, room 115 needs work.
Pros:

The riverside view & the sunset.

Cons:

The car park was rammed. Wasn’t sure if we had to pay as we arrived early, machine didn’t take coins so paid via app, which cost more than if the machine had been working.
Room was boiling- No air con & had to request a fan which took ages to arrive.
Requested twin beds but the bed was made up as a double - this also had to be sorted out & took ages.
Carpet grippers on show where carpet worn & damaged, leaky shower screen, difficult to access power socket for kettle.

Pros:

We were upgraded to a bridal suite and staff were very friendly.

Cons:

No temperature control, the room was too hot, so hot that a chocolate bar melted to liquid and there was no way to cool the room down.. Windows only opened a tiny bit
