Excellent stay at HGI Astoria.
Pros:

An amazing experience. Great location on the water right off of 101 and near downtown Astoria. Ample parking, amazing views, great service, and excellent rooms. Breakfast met or exceeded the standard HGI. Definitely will be back--one of the best if not best HGI I've stayed in.

Holiday Inn Express Employees are amazing!
Pros:

After a 14 hour day with a young family member who who had had a life-threatening emergency; Lisa at the front desk accommodated our unexpected needs finding us a very peaceful room where we could sleep. Thank you Tina, thank you IHG. I have always liked HIEs, and now I am so appreciative of the “way-beyond-5-star” rating they deserve today and everyday. Tina is five-star!!

Stay was mid. I probably wouldn’t come back.
Pros:

Love that it’s on the water. Loved the size of room for our family of 5.

Cons:

Room wasn’t ready until almost 5. Check in was 4. There were tons of unhoused people all around in parking lot and in the hotel. Room was only decently clean and bathtub was VERY slow to drain. Breakfast was ok.

I love this hotel. Always an easy, comfy stay, and the free breakfast is a great amenity.
Pros:

The free breakfast is awesome here. Lots of variety and everything tastes fresh. Beds are comfy and the hotel in general is clean and quiet. You can't beat the views either!

Cons:

The elevator by guest check-in is so slow and too small. Also, no shuttle service to the downtown area, which is very limited with parking.
