Pros:

This was our best hotel on our three week trip. The staff are very very helpful, kind and very tentative. It is located directly on the Nile river and there is a boat that takes you back and forth the sites. The rooms are wonderful and unique and we would have enjoyed staying longer.

Great location and wonderful experience
Pros:

I had a wonderful stay at Djorff Palace this summer. It's a beautiful hotel in an incredible location -- right on the Nile River, the views are stunning -- and it was perfectly situated for my trip focused on visiting the temples and tombs of Luxor and surrounding areas.

During my 7-day stay at the hotel I also felt incredibly well taken care of. The staff were attentive and helpful and the service throughout my stay was terrific. Everyone made me feel genuinely welcome literally from the moment I arrived. The restaurant was also excellent. Overall Djorff Palace really was the perfect base for my visit to Luxor.

Pros:

Whilst this would not be everyone's favourite location ot was exactly what we were looking for a, quite unique different hotel. Each room is different but decorated with excelent taste with a mixture of old and new pieces. For some a lack of TV might be a problem but for us this meant we actually talked and did not miss it. The choice of food on the menu changed every day with a daytime menu available at the pool as well as a different menu for the evenings available in the restaurant. The hotel.also has its own boat to take you across to the East bank if you want to visit.

WOW
Pros:

Stayed for 2 nights and we were in awe of this absolutely beautiful hotel. From the furnishings to the architecture to the hotel grounds, everything was breathtaking. We loved our stay here. Marina, the owner was very welcoming and the staff were outstanding. We had all our breakfast and dinners at the hotel restaurants and the staff were extremely accommodating. Would love to return for a longer stay one day. Our photos don't do it justice. We stayed in the beautiful Ruby room.

Pros:

Hotel Djorff Palace was one of the WORST experiences I've ever had. The website makes it look very nice but underneath the fairy tale Islamic castle appearance there is poison.
Arriving at night by boat, we found a dock in very poor condition, no lights, no railing and the dirt pathway leading up to the hotel was unlit..cell phone lights saved us.

Our bed, described as being a king was really a double and was rock hard (imagine sleeping on a yoga mat on concrete). My daughter and I were up all night in pain....she's much younger but still was miserable.

The lighting, or lack thereof, was disconcerting, especially at night...in the room and outside on the grounds.

Our Egyptian male friend was traveling around with us and showing us his country. He made a reservation at this hotel when I told him we had a room there. Shortly after this, the hotel cancelled his reservation because he was Egyptian and this British woman owner did not want "that" influence in her hotel!
After our first night we decided that we couldn't stay there...not only due to the bed but the Racist owner of this establishment.....absolutely unpalatable.
I went to the deck to check out and said we were leaving. We had a 3 night stay but couldn't do it. The owner knew who we were and lied to me and said all the rooms were booked which is why our friend couldn't stay.....with no apology about the bed either....her comment was "most people really like our hard beds!" DO NOT STAY HERE!

The best hotel with beautiful Nile River views!
Pros:

The Djorff is an amazing place, the building is a literal work of art. It over looks the Nile River and has amazing sunrise/sunsets. The crew that works there is fantastic and their attention to detail rivals any 5 star chain. Breakfast, which is included with your stay is amazing. It is served on a patio which is next to the pool. It really is a special place. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels, this place is closer to a resort feel than hotel. 10/10 would recommend it to anyone staying in Luxor.

Pros:

A wonderful place to stay. It was like you were in an Agatha Christie novel transported back in time as you walk from the Nile towards the awe inspiring buildings.
The owner is a very unique and special person. Her main concern was her guests and enjoying the experience. I wish my wife and I had been able to spend more time there.

Pros:

The architecture is amazing. A reconstruction of old style Egypt from a century back. Lattice work and decoration is great. However, there is ongoing construction at the hotel. Power saws cutting stone. There is a new building being constructed next door. Five stories. Construction begins at 7am. The bath in room Opal is leaking badly. Advised desk. The doors squeak badly. The bed squeaks horribly. The room has no support for carry ons. You are trapped for hotel food. Very mediocre. Service people friendly. Breakfast very good but simple. Very hard to get to from other side. No liquor there or around. No tv. Wi-Fi poor because concrete ceilings. A dramatic look but poor internals. Needs a professional overhaul.
Do not recommend,

A gem in Luxor
Pros:

What a gem in Luxor. So quiet and lovely to have the fields with oxen around. Felt very relaxing being on the quieter side of Luxor. Lovely decor and large garden with good size pool. Owner and staff very friendly and helpful. Ample breakfast and hotel restaurant was very good with a menu which changed daily and several options at a reasonable price. There is a boat available which is extremely easy to take across to the East Bank and back whenever you need it. The WiFi did not work very well in my room but worked well in the garden and pool / bar area so was not an issue. Recommend for those seeking a peaceful stay in Luxor.

Pros:

Dreamy. Of our entire Egypt trip this place was our favorite place we stayed at. The staff handled all of our car needs and transportation via boat across the river. We loved that a gluten free cake appeared on the menu our last night. We wish we brought binoculars as the bird watching here is amazing. Highly recommend coming here with no agenda but to just enjoy.

I loved it!
Pros:

If I ever come back to Luxor, I’m definitely staying here. The place is absolutely gorgeous. Food was delicious. And staff were so kind. They even brought me breakfast at night since I had an early morning flight to make sure I ate something. And I love how you can take a boat across without additional cost. Five-plus stars!

The best place to stay in all of Luxor
Pros:

We decided on staying at Djorff because it was such a different hotel than the others. It's location on the west bank made it really convenient for the valley of the kings. But the complimentary boat service to the east bank is really nice. The hotel was incredibly accommodating and organized our tours and drivers. Sadly my mom had a major flair up on her arthritis and was bed ridden for a few days. The hotel staff helped my mom to and from breakfast and the owner of the establishment checked in on me and her daily. She is such a nice lady. I highly recommend this hotel. The food is amazing, the location is amazing, the vibe is so relaxing.

Pros:

Non-existent or poor Wifi; breakfast taken outside in the cold; ultra-hard, uncomfortable mattress; very old, wafer thin bed linen and stained pillow case. Checked out after just one of three nights booked. Owner conceded the foregoing as true/agreed the issues, but made no offer of refund for the two nights not stayed as full payment taken on arrival. Poor, disappointing experience. Other hotels in Luxor and Aswan were excellent. In short, better value elsewhere.
