A Quinta é enorme e permite passar uns dias descansado e com tudo o que é preciso.
E depois de realçar o pequeno almoço, muito bom, e o restaurante... Fantástico! Qualidade, diversidade e pratos deliciosos.

Gostei muito das roupas de banho e cama, não gostei dos produtos de higiene , achei o toilette muito bom e o quarto muito pequeno .
HIGHLY recommend this hotel. The grounds are stunning, the restaurant excellent, the staff absolutely wonderful. The included breakfast was lovely and dinners fabulous. The quinta has an extensive wine list and the prices were incredibly reasonable. We stayed in the Casa dos Cardanhos annex with our two kids and were able to get two rooms that were connected by a private hallway - a great option for families!! This place is sophisticated but just fine for kids - plenty of room for them to roam and there was also a friendly fox that we enjoyed spotting! I would 100% stay here again when we come back to the Douro.

Dos funcionários e da quinta e da cantina. O jantar é soberbo.
Dos quartos do Olival que estavam a uma temperatura muito elevada e de o pequeno-almoço ser a lá carte mas a qualidade era muito muito boa. Faz falta uma sala ou zona de convívio para ler ou simplesmente estar.

This review is so hard to write. On the one hand, the hotel sits in an absolutely beautiful setting, perched high up on a hill overlooking vineyards and the river. The rooms are clean, breakfast is great, and the staff is quite helpful. On the other hand, the layout of the rooms (or at least the room we were in) is totally dysfunctional (and brings my rating down two notches). The rooms are dark with little lighting and no overhead lighting. But the main problem is that if you want to wash your hands after using the toilet, you can't do it in the bathroom. You have to exit the toilet and walk around two corners to get to the sink, which is in a totally different part of the room. So service-wise and beauty-wise it's a 5 star hotel, but functional-wise and layout-wise it's a 1 star one. If the lighting and sink issues don't bother you, it's definitely a lovely place to stay.
