Lovely decor, very comfortable room and staff were helpful
Small shower cubicle, could do with updating and there was a wedding on while we were there which was very noisy and disrupted our evening meal.
The room was extremely comfortable, well appointed and spacious. It was warm, bright and the bathroom equally spacious and well fitted.
I struggled to get a wi-fi connection for the first hour of my stay. This resulted in 2 calls to reception and the attendance of the barman and the provision of an alternative access code. The poor connection was attributed to windy conditions but I was led to believe I was the only guest who was experiencing problems. This was a disappointing start to my two night stay.
Breakfast was disappointing. I had remembered breakfast at the Drumossie as a bountious, sumptuous feast but that was not the case on this occasion. The provision of buffet items was paltry. The fruit salad was sparse with just melon and pineapple and the general appeal of the display was unappetising,, I ordered a vegetarian cooked breakfast. There were no vegetarian sausage which was not a problem for me and the vegetarian haggis which did arrive was a pattie of seeds and grains compressed into a circular form and did not taste very nice.
Staff were helpful, and breakfast was good.
I found the bed too soft for my liking, I sunk into the mattress.
Room size was excellent. Furniture was elegant. Cleanliness very good. Bed very comfortable
Excellent room beside lift
Liked everything
A beautiful Hotel in a scenic quiet location on the outskirts of Inverness.
Nothing
Staff very welcoming and attentive . Food and service excellent .
Comfortable. House keeping was excellent.
Food was little bit expensive. But that’s so wonderfully delicious. We enjoyed it.
Having had past experience with staff, i was plesently surprised with being checked in by a gentleman with a great attitude, in the very early hours of the morning.
I am pleased to say that checkout was a great experance, although totally different staff from the last time, so credit where its deserved.
Room 219. Heating is not sufficient. Shower pressure is terrible and the overall WIFI experience is terrible.
Its hard to say anything which ws good about this hotel due to the amount of failings during my stay.
Firstly the receptionish being a young blond girl named i believe cristona was very rude with a terrible attitude towards people. I needed some printing done and she was clearly work shy, did not want to do it and came with every excuse. Once the hotel manager was at the reception and i was making it clear by the tone of voice i have a problem with her, then she realised and done the printing.
The hotel rooms are fitting with small wall mounted electric heaters which are undersized to meet the correct BTUs for building regs, meaning that the rooms are very cold = room 310. In view of this and having stopped for four nights, i went to Tesco and purchased a electric heater. Again bathroom was very cold as only had a towel rail, again not sufficient to heat the roof. The pressure to the shower was terrible and took a life time for the hot water to get to the shower.
No bottled water provided in room.
Breakfast is not worth it either. Only one of each item and very small. Again, staff not really friendly, just placing plates down on table with no words or smile. Also had to ask for toast on each morning, i did think they would bring this as standard.
Evening meals are very expensive and the room service is a massive cost, standard fish and chips £27.00 plus tray charge.
Unfortunately the location of this hotel means that you need a car to travel anywhere. The country roads have not footpaths.
Nice stay and good night.
We had to wait over an hour for breakfast. Had a o get the attention of staff to be served.
Room didn’t lock and someone walked in our room overnight. Staff spoken with following morning and were apologetic and dealt appropriately
