Many things to like here. The grounds were well maintained and very mature with beautiful tropical plants and trees. The beach and pool were very nice. The rooms were nice with good ac and beds. The nightly noise from chickens and roosters could be eliminated though. The beach was not crowded and good for swimming, snorkeling or kayaking. Lovely sunset views from the bar restaurant from inside or out on the patio. Restaurants here were very good.

I honestly had one of the best experiences of my life staying here. From the moment we arrived, everything felt so peaceful and relaxing—it’s hard to describe just how calming Rarotonga is until you experience it yourself. I’ve never been somewhere that made it this hard to leave.
The food was absolutely incredible. The complimentary breakfast was a highlight every morning, and everything we ate throughout our stay was delicious and full of flavor. The drinks were refreshing, perfect for the island heat, and the desserts… truly unforgettable.
One of my favorite experiences was the Ika Mata class—it was fun, interactive, and something I’ll always remember from this trip.
A special shoutout to the amazing team at the Barefoot restaurant and bar. Noel, Whenelyn, Judy, Sisi, and especially the chef made every meal feel special. The service was warm, genuine, and welcoming every single time.
I also want to mention Joseph from housekeeping and the front office team—you all went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. Your friendliness and care really stood out.
This place is something special, and I’m already dreaming about coming back.

Beautiful clean property with everything we needed available

What an amazing stay we had! The place is gorgeous, clean and inviting. Lovely rooms cleaned daily by dedicated friendly staff. Delicious breakfast included or off the menu. We loved our free breaky so stayed with that. Beach is lovely with clean warm shallow ish water. Use of kayaks and snorkels included. Clean large pool. Close to great dinner spots and the night market

But the BEST part was the staff. Engaging. Kind. Friendly and helpful - from Lily and Stella in restaurant, to Sun teaching me to make a broom ( can’t remember local name) to Ngari teaching me lei and haku making. Cleaning staff was awesome!!! Grounds staff really does a great job keeping it beautiful.

Now we will talk about Zee. Kindness personified! The true ambassador from Rarotonga. We want to adopt him! Soooo helpful and kind. He truly made our 25th wedding anniversary so special.

Our experience at the Pacific was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The resort’s beautiful setting right on Muri Beach, combined with warm Rarotongan hospitality, made our stay truly special. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive—always smiling and ready to help. Our room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed for a good night's sleep.
The housekeeping and ground's staff do an excellent job keeping everything fresh and tidy.
We enjoyed the Ika mata making demonstration and the garden tour with Adam (even in the pouring rain!)
Sandals restaurant served delicious and varied snacks and meals and the cocktails were different each day.
A special shout out to Zee, Rolyn and V on reception, Lily, Mita, Roxanne, Flor and Triza from the breakfast team and Noel, Judy, Ellaine and Alexa from the afternoon/evening team and all staff who treated us like family. We will be back for our 5th stay at the Pacific! Mei Taki

We did the ika mata making with Lela and Elle and it was amazing. So much fun. Would def do again!

We also did the Ei making with Mama Ngari. Girls loved it, Great activity for kids and adults.

We stayed at the Pacific Resort on Aitutaki in 2025 and needed to have a place to stay recently, while we waited to fly over again, so we thought the Pacific Resort Rarotonga! We are so glad we did. This resort is set up for many iterations of guests. We rented a 3 bedroom villa that worked perfectly for us and you could see how great it would be for families. The team, the cuisine and the accommodations were perfect for what we needed and we look forward to returning.
