Perfect short walk to the lake

Room didnt overlook the lake but just a short walk away

Room was very clean, staff were all very friendly, and the beach was beautiful

Really enjoyed our stay. Every staff member we interacted with was wonderful and very accommodating.

Close to the beach. Clean, updated room with good sized mini fridge, microwave, and TV. Hot shower with good water pressure. Comfortable bed. Walkable to the restaurants of Frankfort. Great biking trails. Decent coffee and love those doughnuts!

Been to Northern Michigan but never to Frankfort and wanted a place by the water. Took a chance on Harbor Lights and it was a winner. It's just the two of us (we're retired) so we stayed in one of the motel rooms with no direct view of the lake but it was right around the corner and only a minute or two from the water. Convenient for a couple of picturesque sunsets! It was a slightly longer walk to the small downtown which has a few nice restaurants. We would definitely stay there again!

Staff was amazing. Room was mostly clean. There were little areas that needed attention. Walls and baseboards could have used a wipe down but bedding was clean and comfortable. Bathroom is a little small but clean. Chlorine was overpowering in pool area but clean.

Very nice property, helpful and nice staff, donuts every morning and just steps to the beach or nearby shops & restaurants. Great indoor pool! Our 1-bedroom unit has some older furniture but the kitchen appliances appear new, and everything was very clean. Plenty of space for two people!

The property is a combination of condos that are owned and rented out and "motel rooms" for the resort. The facilities are super clean, the grounds are amazing and the staff is super nice and helpful. Its worth every penny.

The location to the beach was wonderful. The beach is fantastic! It was nice to have an indoor pool just in case it rained. The grounds were well kept and our standard room was clean. We were located on the bottom floor, which was convenient, yet upstairs was very loud. We were also located right in front of the stairs which was also loud. When I registered I notified staff that my service dog would be joining me and when I called prior to arrival the friendly staff stated that she saw in the notes that my service dog would be present. Yet as I sat quietly and alone in the corner of the pool area I was approached by staff regarding my service dog. Her statements and questions were more hostile than I expected. Despite her demeanor the other 2 front desk staff and 2 cleaning staff were very friendly. As a "local" of Traverse City I would return to Harbor Lights Resort and book way in advance for a room with a view. I booked months in advance yet Frankfort in July is very popular.
