Lovely hotel some staff & charges let it down
Pros:

This is a beautiful hotel in a great location. Unfortunately some rude & unhelpful reception staff & one waitress at breakfast lets it down from me giving it 5 stars. Also a compulsory “service charge” of CZK200 per night is added to your bill at the end of the stay in addition to the city tax. At no point prior to booking or upon check in was I advised of the service charge which actually shows as a “tip” which is added onto the same invoice as the city tax! It’s the hotels way of getting a tip regardless of whether you want to leave one or not (which I wouldn’t have based on most of the staff I encountered). I have informed Jet2 who I booked through who were also unaware that the hotel are charging guests additional fees. It’s not something I’ve ever encountered at any hotel before & is not ethical.

Irongate is Great
Pros:

What an amazing hotel. Yes it looks dated but that is it's charm. I booked it for that reason. Our room was great and it is in an ideal location to all the sights. The staff were lovely, breakfast was plentiful and we loved our stay.

Pleasant and conveniently located
Pros:

Location was a must. Breakfast was very decent and all the hotel was beautiful.

Cons:

Accessibility would be a problem for disabled people; rooms seem to be lacking conservation / maintenance works.

Pros:

La habitación, la ubicación y el barman muy alegre y atento.

Cons:

Que son muy rígidos había mucha gente en la barra y las mesas vacías , quisimos sentarnos y no nos permitieron y a nadie aduciendo que es para que la gente se siente a comer, si querías tomar deberías estar de pie. No existe lógica ya que eran todas las mesas las que estaban vacías. Preferimos salir a otro lugar fuera del hotel en el segundo día.

Perfect break in a beautiful city.
Pros:

The hotel was very clean and in a perfect location. The staff were friendly. We arrived 3 hours early but were permitted to go into our room straight away. On booking.com we’d booked a large double, superior room and the hotel put us in a standard twin room. Whilst adequate, it wasn’t what we’d paid for. Apart from that we’d recommend this hotel for its location, facilities and cleanliness.

Great location.
Pros:

We stayed here for three nights this week and it was excellent - especially as we were upgraded without asking. The hotel is superbly placed in the middle of town and all the major attractions are within a 30 minute walk.

Pros:

Krásná historická budova,pokoj velký, postele velmi pohodlné. Zatemňovací závěsy tlumily i ruch z ulice.Snídaně luxusní, oceňuji vlastní pečivo a širokou nabídku ostatních potravin.

Great stay
Pros:

The location of this hotel is perfect. So close to the old town square. The hotel itself0 is quirky...all rooms are different. We were in Room 104 and had no complaints the decor is regal and the cleanliness is second to none. Staff are friendly and professional.
Breakfast was plentiful with a good choice.
If I was returning to Prague I would not hesitate to stay here again.
