This is an outstanding hotel! Elena at reception went above and beyond during our stay. She took ownership of making sure our visit was perfect. The room was beautiful, well equipped and had lots of electrical plugs. The bathroom was huge with a great deep tub. The location for exploring was perfect. Free easy parking.
Ideally located in dingle town centre
The car park area is small
We were welcomed by receptionist who booked us in slightly earlier than the check in time which was appreciated
We were happy with the room which was very good value including breakfast
It was warm and comfortable
We ate both lunch and dinner in the front bar
We were both happy with the food which was quite tasty
We would return here to stay
Frostiest and ignorant reception from bar manager. Came across as a snob looking down on us.
Arrived with our 8 week old for a cup of tea and maybe some small food. Place was quiet.
No smile, no hello, no welcome, just " if you're not getting food you're not allowed in the bar, go to the lobby"
We went to the lobby. The Same man arrived , believe his name is Zayed or something similar, said "what do you want?"
How would we know. Got no menus, no nothing.
Didn't bother getting anything. Complained to the general manager who was apologetic and said he had similar problems before.
Not good enough, need to do better training then clearly.
Dingle is well known as a tourist town full of warm welcomes, we won't be back.
Massive let down on what was supposed to be a nice relaxing day out.
Felt like our business wasn't wanted.
Benner’s is the quintessential Irish small hotel. Delicious food , cozy places for tea or coffee , great breakfast. It also now has more parking than it did 10 years ago. Great location in the middle of Dingle!
The service was very good. The mattresses and some of the furnishings were worn; you could feel the springs in the mattress. For the price, not what was expected. The free car park was great; parking is at a premium in town.
Excellent location with ample parking at the rear. Benners has a warm homely welcome along with assured ambience. Rooms beautifully decorated, spacious and full of character. Breakfast was served to order. All in all Benners has character and different from the usual boutique hotels.
Great location in middle of downtown, staff was personable and informative. Celebrating our 40 th anniversary and unbeknownst to me my husband contacted the hotel before hand to have flowers and treats available upon our arrival. The staff went above and beyond, much appreciated.
Loud noisy hen (bachelorette) party was allowed to have the run of the place all weekend long. We didn’t get much sleep for all the hooting and screeching in the lobby well past 4 am.
I’ve stayed at Benners Hotel 7 times since 1995 and it seems it just gets better and better with each visit. We were really lucky to even get in this time since it was all booked up online. Breeda is so wonderful taking care of just about every need you have. Brida (different person) is so warm and welcoming. Adriana at Reception is always smiling and treats you like family.
We love this charming hotel simply for itself and also its location. But it doesn’t hurt that the rooms are very pretty with super comfy beds. There’s lots of room to your away stuff and a nice bay window to look out of. The bath has a REAL shower with the sink faucet having the hot and cold water merging together in one spout! Woohoo!
There’s a small fridge in the room as well.
Benners Guests have a private CAR PARK! Breeda actually gave up her parking spot for us when we came back from dinner to a full lot. What a Sweetie!
We had lunch in the elegant/cozy Mrs. Benner’s Bar 2 of the days. And ended up for a nightcap there also 2 of the days. The Breakfast is terrific with your choice of buffet but also cooked entrees. The Coffee is BREWED!! Best coffee we had in the entire 3 weeks over there.
We love this Hotel. I always think it will be our last time, but I think we may need to make one more trip to Dingle but only if we can stay at Benners!
The breakfast was one of the best we had in Ireland.
Absolute pleasure to Dine at the hotel restaurant. Old world elegance with amazing staff. Gorgeous food & service. Well worth the stop!
We were staying at Benners for three nights - Sat, Sun & Mon. We found the reception staff incredibly helpful and always willing to go the extra mile for us. The restaurant staff were also very professional and extremely personable. However, the quality of food on Sun morning was really poor. There were four of us and we each had to return our food as the poached eggs were like tennis balls, the sausages were burnt and hard and the bacon was barely cooked at all. It was as though some things had been cooked hours before and kept warm in an oven - so very disappointing. Breakfast is such an important part of the day and having travelled extensively in Ireland, this fell really below our expectations. Things were much improved on Mon and Tues so we put it down to a weekend team in the kitchen. But why no grilled tomato or baked beans as part of a full Irish breakfast? They have been included in every other hotel we have stayed in - approx 7 hotels! This experience put us off eating any other meal at Benners. The rooms were clean and well sound proofed. The beds were comfortable but the bathrooms need upgrading to include a walk in shower rather than an over the bath shower head which was fixed and an awful plastic shower curtain that wrapped itself around ones legs. The public spaces had beautiful chandeliers and fresh flowers but the rest of the furnishings all looked a little tired. We drank in the bar on two nights but the canned music was inappropriate and needs a rethink.
Would not stay anywhere else
Benners was a wonderful hotel. Great check in. Given room upgrade. Stunning recently renovated bedroom with gorgeous bathroom and shower. Attentive staff. Lovely breakfast with a good choice. Highly recommend staying here if you want to be in central Dingle.
We had 3 rooms for one night. Must say that finding the parking lot behind the hotel could have been very challenging, but when we got to Dingle, we called the hotel and spoke to Breda. (Everyone should have a Breda in their life!). So helpful, she stayed on the phone with us and gave us turn-by-turn directions. Reception welcoming and organized. Rooms (we had 3) were really great - good beds and linens and ample space. Breakfast offerings and the staff so exception in a location where they see lots of tourists every summer - however, they were not jaded. Have stayed in Dingle many times - not sure how I missed this place in the past. Will def. come back here and also, the location meant we could walk all over town very easily. Thank you all at the hotel!
What a lovely stay at the Benner Hotel. My sister and I had a wonderful room with 2 beds. The bathroom was big and had a shower/tub combo. Both of us loved the beds. I slept so good. The hotel is beautiful and grand. There is a public bar inside the hotel. A nice breakfast was included. It featured a buffet style room with fruit, bread, cheese and meat, plus a menu for hot breakfast. All the staff were so kind and attentive. There’s an afternoon tea service. Unfortunately, it wasn’t offered the day I inquired about it. The hotel is centrally located and a quick 7 minute walk to the harbor.
Highly recommended staying at the Benner Hotel when visiting Dingle.
Old, updated, clean, and cozy room!
Good breakfast and bar.
Near all the great bars in the area.
Beautiful and welcoming place to stay with friendly staff!
Great location in the middle of all the action. Great staff and great rooms. I will definitely stay at Benners again.
Have stayed here several times as travel Ireland with small tour groups.
The hotel itself is really old world and beautiful. The location is unbeatable right in the heart of the town.
The rooms are well appointed and breakfast is fabulous.
All the staff from reception to dining and every department we encountered were professional, friendly and helpful.
My group loved their 3 night stay and I can’t wait to return with my next group.
Thanks Breda and all your team.
