Petra Hotel

Directly opposite stairs that lead down to the main street with various tavernas,restaurants,cafes and kafenions. Pool was just what we needed,the down side the sun beds are old and need replacing. Where the sunbeds are sited is neglected and looks temporary. Needs to be tidied up and tiled.

The stay was good although the room provided was not as described as delux 1 bedroom at extra cost at the time of booking

Great value for money. Cleaners came every day to replace sheets and towels. Breakfast included in the price and offered plenty of choices. Pool was fantastic and clean. Friendly staff. Good location. Parking spaces on-site. Only downside was a lack of WiFi in the room, however, good WiFi in reception area and at the pool. Also, extra charges applied for air con (€5/day) and fridge (€2/day). We would definitely return here.

wir kamen nur für 1 Nacht und erhielten 2 top renovierte neue Zimmer. Das Hotel liegt zentral - nicht aber in Strandnähe.

I had looked up rooms in Matala , this is no where near Matala , 40 minute drive away , no Wi-Fi in the rooms only down in the lobby , no elevator so we had to carry our bags up 4 flights of stairs ... most disappointing hotel of our entire stay .

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal im Hotel Petra. Die Zimmer wurden im Frühjahr komplett renoviert. Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut, die Betten super. Auch das Bad wurde sehr schön hergerichtet.
Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Sur le site hotel.com on a pris cet hôtel car clime .. mais au final il nous demande a l'arrivée un supplément pour la clime, frigo... le signaler à l'avance.

The Petra Hotel is about 150-200 yards out of the center of town, up the hill on the busy road out of town. But that's not really a problem; it's easy to walk down into the town. Our room was spacious, pleasant, and newly renovated. Strangely, however, the hotel charges for air conditioning (5 Euros/night), the use of the refrigerator (2 Euros/night), and the use of the safe (1 Euro/night). I have never in all my travels been asked to pay for air conditioning or to use an in-room refrigerator. The hotel is amateurish in general; I recommend they professionalize and just raise their rates by 5 Euros in the summer. There was a mediocre continental breakfast. They did not serve "English breakfast" as advertised.

The hotel was to the usual Grreek standards. The air conditioning system dripped water in the room, when I reported this they said they would fix it, of course this was not done during my 3 day stay. The staff were friendly.

We received a very warm welcome from the staff .The room was very clean and we had a good breakfast

fine except that they did not have the reservation I made through your site. Thank goodness they had a room available, and that I had a copy of the reservation, show9ing that I had paid. They must have contacted you since it doesn't look like they charge me again. You may want to look into it.

The air conditioning was off and the windows were closed when we arrived so the room was super hot and it took a lot of time to bring the temperature to an acceptable level. There is no elevator and our room was at the third or fourth floor! The parking is limited but it's not surprising. It's really a 2-star hotel...

great hotel for the price well situated the staff were welcoming and paris the manager was exceptionally helpful the pool was very clean and the pool bar was very well run by george although this hotel has few brits at the time we visited this was not a problem as the other guests were friendly

The Hotel was good value for money and the standards were good for the star rating. Paris the Hotel manager was a very nice and helpful person. Agia Galini is perfect place to relax and enjoy taking ife as fast or as slow as you would want to. Pay a visit to the Blue Bar sit back and listen to some good music with friendly people around.
