The area.
It was exactly as I expected: no frills, everything you need.
There's a smell, not bad, but uniquely the room. Can't explain it but I smelled one of my shirts and it smells like the room.
Everything is gold, specially staff.
It was easy to use the key to unlock the door
We booked 2 rooms and they were similar.
When you open the door, you smell bleach. The furniture is very old and damaged. The bed seemed clean, but we saw various hairs on it. The window did not open to ventilate the room. There was no toilet paper in either bathroom, but receptionist gave it to us upon our request. When I first washed my hands and dried them with a towel, a long white hair stuck to my hand (I am brunette). There is a lot of dust under the bed.
None
I went for a jog and when I returned I ask for a duplicate key and said they do not have a duplicate I was supposed to have a three day stay I left on my second day .
- Very close proximity to the Red Line and buses.
- For those who are interested in Chinatown, perfect location to explore the neighborhood.
- Reasonable nightly rate.
- The room I stayed in had a lingering smell of cigarette smoke.
- The bed was slightly uncomfortable when sleeping on the side or face down. I would recommend that guests sleep on their backs.
- The provided towel was dirty and had a foul smell. Thankfully I had brought my own bath towel as well as slippers, which I encourage all prospective guests to pack with them.
- Sound isolation between rooms was not the best, I could hear a movie that another guest was watching. I could also hear when people spoke in the hallway.
Great location for the price. A lot of nice restaurants and shops around. A walking distance to the subway station.
The room had bare necessities. The walls are very thin. I was woken up in the middle of the night by a party that either arrived or was departing.
Location
I didn’t like anything about the property.
The location was convenient. Location was in Chinatown and close to downtown Chicago.
Everything looked old and outdated. Bathroom looked old and worn out. The entire room was also old and worn out.
