Super 8 by Wyndham Sturgeon Bay

The staff was not friendly or welcoming. Our room was not ready at check in time. Had to wait 20 minutes. Had to ask for an ice bucket and was told that all rooms don’t have ice buckets. Staff had to get one from another room. The toilet seat needed to be replaced as it was full of black marks. (looked like cigarette burns) There was a large white patch over a section of the wall with holes underneath. Also dirty handprints on the wall that could have easily been cleaned. We will not be returning to this hotel.

Our stay was OK. For just one night it was fine.
The hot tub does not have very many jets and if there is more than 2 in it you do not get a jet.
I do like the open shower they to rinse off in the pool area. You do not see that at many places.
The staff can be hard to understand but are friendly.

I was a little concerned when I got there when she couldn’t find our reservation, but then after a few minutes she did and she was very helpful. It’s an older hotel but our room was clean. We had an issue with the tub draining really slow so my husband left a note at the desk and it was taken care of before we returned later in the day. Our granddaughter really enjoyed the pool and my husband enjoyed the hot tub.

Breakfast was extremely cold.

All of it was very poor except that the bed & toilet were clean!

Saw staff cleaning which was nice. Lobby smelled clean
Did not enjoy walking through smokers who were smoking on either side of the front entrance
Did not enjoy looking out our window to view that trash below
Was irritated when I had to listen to some type of gathering outside and below our room from 7pm to after midnight. I called the front desk for help to either quiet or move the group away from guest rooms. She said she talked to the people after my first call. At 11:30pm, the activity was still going on. The front desk phone was busy so I went to the desk to ask for quiet again. The event went on until after midnight.
Very disappointed as we had a long day and needed to travel in a few hours. It would have been nice to be able to get some sleep.

The staff was very accommodating. The room was very clean.

Out dated decor and cosmetic repairs needed.

Had to buy air freshener because of foul smell in the room. Person taking care of continental breakfast on Monday, 9/1/2025 we fabulous & deserves a raise because of her excellent customer service!!

Very nice amenities

The property and services were what I expected for the price we paid. Nothing fancy, but we had a clean room with a comforable bed and plenty of hot water. The staff was very friendly and the pool and hot-tub were a plus. The breakfast was standard fare...but was tasty and hot. A good centralized place to stay for s visit to the Door County area at a reasonable price. No complaints.

Lobby was spacious for a motel 8, but place is rundown. Pool was ok but poor lighting. Water wasn’t working in room when we got there a little inconvenience because couldn’t flush bathroom. It took a bit but issue was resolved

We stayed for 4 nights and the maid never came to clean or give clean towels, and we only started the stay with 1 wash cloth and 1 towel for 2 of us. We had to go ask for clean ones every day.

Room was okay but noise came from 2nd floor. Towels with holes. Breakfast on Sunday only until 9am. TV didn’t work

Extended our stay for another day, only to get a call on the morning of our last day while an hour away to tell us they made a mistake and we had to checkout.. and there weren’t any rooms left for us. Pretty much left us high and dry and out of luck. The place was run down, dirty and generally uncared for. The “breakfest” was next level disgusting with stale donuts and bakery. Gross..Would not recommend this place,

Clean, well maintained property. Good clean rooms, shower. Excellent breakfast.
