The Hotel was just fine. The room was comfortable, but dated, as was the bathroom. Everything was very clean and working well. Reception and staff were pleasant and helpful.

We loved our room! The hotel is very close to many restaurants and walkable to Thira. The reception was great to coordinate breakfast and arrange for us to rent a car. As many places in Santorini, there were TONS of stairs to get to our room. But they arranged for someone to bring all of our bags at check in and check out through the stairs.
We were disappointed with breakfast - it was included in our stay but we only went once. The woman taking our order forgot most of our food. We ordered 2 cappuccinos, after 30 mins saw another table get them. We asked and she said they were now out. We asked for a latte instead. 30 minutes later she said they were out of that now. The portions were also very small.
We also had an infinity pool. We used it the first day, but found it unusable after as it appeared very dirty and was not cleaned.
We would stay here again but would not get breakfast there.

Pros:

The pool in the honeymoon suite was the highlight of our trip. It’s a big climb up and down from the main road, but they do have porters to help with luggage. And the breakfast at the hotel was delicious!

Amazing Staff and Infinity Suite!

Our stay was excellent!! I cannot say enough about the staff and their helpfulness. Very responsive communicating through Whatsapp. The room was clean and the inifity pool was amazing. We had the Junior Suite. Food was fabtastic! We orderdd room service and it came quickly. Breakfast was included and was delicious. Location was fantastic for shopping in Fira. The views were beautiful along with the sunsets. Only 1 issue we had hot water one noght but luke warm the next 2. But highly recommend this hotel!

Loved this hotel. The staff were all very nice and helpful. The location is close to shops and restaurants. The included breakfast was amazing. Because of all the steps to the hotel lobby and your room, this hotel is not for those with mobility issues. My only complaint was the pillows that are too hard. In the end, it was a lovely place with awesome views.

Dana Villas and Suites is an amazing property with spectacular views of the Aegean Sea ;
Dinner was a gross disappointment

Sunsets at this property are awe inspiring. The infinity pool had floating sunbeds with a stunning backdrop!! Be prepared to walk approximately 100 steps down to the suites/units ; handrails were few ;
The suites are spacious, modern and impeccably clean. The breakfast was to die for: you were offered a variety of sumptuous options - homemade jams, breads, spanakopita, omelettes, pancakes, freshly made fruit or veggie smoothies, and a variety of coffee options;
We opted to have dinner on our last night ; what a terrible disappointment; when we arrived we were one of a handful guests; we were looking forward to having the Aegean Paella ; we were informed they had run out of paella - when we observed the servers bringing out a couple of Paella dishes to 2 other guests ; the salad portion was paltry and probably the worst we had in all of Santorini ; the server offered some bread with what we thot was tomato bruschetta ; he brought out 3 tiny buns with a small jar of jam ; bizarre option; we told them right away that we didn’t want any jam with our dinner ; they basically said too bad and charged us 5 euros; the dinner waiter was rude and insisted we charge our meal to our room instead of accepting our cash payment

All in all an excellent place. Great views and exceptional service. A few rooms may need a bit of cleaning or updating….but not by much. I’ve stayed here twice and would come again. Really good value and you can’t beat the views! Thank you Danas Villas.

Beautiful View, Killer Stairs
Pros:

Gorgeous view, breakfast was great, pool was perfect, room pool was amazing, service good. Pick up service to/from ferry & airport was very costly at 70euro for the 15 minute trip but almost must as I'm not sure how you would find the hotel on your own, nor would you want to carry your luggage on the many many many steps to get there.

It was a beautiful property. But we had no idea we would need to walk down 204 steps to one of our rooms. Thankfully, there was a bag porter to help with luggage. The air conditioner went out in one of our rooms, and rather than move us, they brought a fan during the hottest days of the year. We had to leave the door open to bring in cooler air, and I laid half awake listening to noises and wondering if someone or something would come in and make themselves at home.
The pool is only available from 12-6 so they can host romantic dinners on the little platforms over the water, but during a heat wave, it would have been nice to take a late swim to cool of after a hot day.
It took several attempts to get them to reply to me before our stay about arranging transportation, but the driver found us at the ferry and was very nice so that all worked out well.
I guess if I was there with a romantic interest it would have been worth the money, but I’d say this isn’t a family friendly place. We had 6 in our party, including my 77 year old mother, so not ideal having her walk up and down 204 steps daily. I would not recommend this for small kids either.

Disappointing Stay – All View, No Value

We were really excited about our stay at Dana Villas & Suites — the photos looked incredible, and it was the hotel we were most looking forward to during our three-week holiday. Unfortunately, it turned out to be the worst of the trip.

While the view is undeniably beautiful, nearly everything else fell short. When we arrived, the floors were dirty and covered in hair — we had to request they be cleaned. There were stains on the walls, coffee splatters in the bathroom and by the pool, and a strong sewage smell that lingered throughout our stay. The pool was filthy until we asked for it to be cleaned. The fridge didn’t work, the bedding was ripped, the furnishings were worn, and housekeeping left either our door or window open on two separate days. The room and pool area were both in need of a fresh coat of paint — everything felt tired and worn.

We clearly specified our food allergies before breakfast, yet were still served items we couldn’t eat. The breakfast itself was underwhelming and far below the standard you’d expect at a luxury property.

Upon check-out, the Front Desk manager apologized and covered our transfers to and from the port, which we appreciated. She also said the general manager and owner would follow up — but no one ever did.

Every other hotel on our trip cost much less and far exceeded in cleanliness, comfort, and service. The photos may look stunning, but they hide a lot. They are not a luxury hotel.

Pros:

This was the most wonderful hotel we could've stayed at! It was beautifully located with amazing views of the island, and the staff was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast offered every morning was also some of the best food we ate on this trip. The next chance I have to visit Santorini again, I will 100% be looking to stay at Dana Villas & Infinity Suites!
