Terrific space and friendly staff.
Such a beautiful fun property. I loved the historic but upgrade amenities, location and friendly staff. They went above and beyond to ensure all needs were met.
Gorgeous hotel!
Really enjoyed staying
Great physical location. Staff in game room and customer service very rude.
Room was average. View of the HVAC was less than impressive. Room alcohol and drink prices on the rooftop were more than Las Vegas.
Not a good value. Nice old building with character but not worth the high price to me.
Excellent experience!!! One of the best ever. Will definitely return.
Fantastic stay.
Incredible location for the art museum and millennium park! Beautiful hotel with very friendly and welcoming staff. Highly recommend
This is a historic hotel. The original woodwork and mosaic tile flooring is beautiful! Sitting by the large windows overlooking Millennium Park for a freshly made breakfast was great!
While the rooms are small, they have everything you need and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. We really enjoyed the shower as well.
The dining in the lobby was great and service was good there. Finally the location is great if you want to be downtown by the park. There is a lot you can walk to from there.
Hotel is very dark, hallways are dated. Historic feeling. Most of all, it doesn't feel like a hotel in terms of service. No sense whatsoever of anyone available to help, welcome you, no information about parking, food options, etc. Front desk was helpful when asked to store our luggage, however. No restrooms off of lobby, you had to go down a set of stairs and up a different set of stairs to get to one. Lobby is up one flight, when we checked in at night there was no one to direct us to the lobby. We had to flag down someone to take our order at breakfast but once it arrived, it was excellent. The2 best thing about the hotel were the bathrooms, which were very clean, spacious and modern, and the lobby "lounge,: which is set up like a library reading room and was very convenient for doing work or having a meeting.
Amazing
With a great location and a knowledgeable and friendly staff this was an excellent three night stay. Hotel was clean and accommodating. I really couldn’t have asked for more. I highly recommend. The only thing I didn’t like was my shower had two shower heads and no door and the two rolled up towels that were placed at the bottom edge didn’t really cut it and my bathroom floor was very wet despite my best efforts.
A beautiful step back in time with modern amenities. Amazing staff and easy access to anything you want to do in the city.
One of the tvs didnt work, and neither did the room phone. Dislike the texting communication, and having to go thru 3rd party just to call front desk.
Rooms small but clean.
Fantastic place to stay….close to the lake, shopping and dining.
I would stay here again in a different room. The AC did not work well in my room. The room service was good but it took an hour. Would be a good hotel for a group as there are lots of games to be played - pool, golf (indoor), roller skating, etc.
All of the staff were wonderful (valet parking, bellhops, front desk, waitstaff, etc.). The property was lovely and the room was clean, comfortable, and well-designed.
Definitely would visit again.
