We went to Myrion with my spouse and my 70-year-old parents for a week vacation. Hotel is very modern, clean and has a beatiful pool area. Hotel also has some very pleasant scent we couldn't figure out where it came from. It was the first thing we noticed when we arrived at the lobby, and the same smell is all over the hotel's inside areas. I don't know how other guests feel about it, but we absolutely loved it!
Breakfast and dinner were good and had a lot variety. I specially loved that there was a lot of healthy choices; different kind of salads, vegetables and fruits available. The only downside at breakfast was tea selection: there was none. I myself don't drink bagged tea, I only drink quality loose leaf tea, which was not in this hotel's selection. However, I was not surprised by this, since I am aware Greece is not a "tea drinking country". But it would have been nice to get quality tea in a quality establishment.
Hotel's beach was small rock beach mixed with sand. Seawater looked clean, but unfortunately there was strong waves few days when we would have time to go swimming, so we couldn't really test this.
Service in this hotel is excellent and the staff is very helpful. For example, we asked for car rental option from the reception and they gave us the choices of car selection, then made the the call to the rental company they are in cooperation with. The car was brought to the hotel the next day and returned the same way. This was very convenient, thank you for that!
The gym at the hotel is very small, I would not go exercise with more than two or max three people at the same time. There were two treadmills, but neither of them worked properly two times i went to the gym. I couldn't figure out where the problem was and there was no staff at the spa reception at that time.
Overall we were very pleased of our stay in Myrion. This was no doubt one of the best hotel's I have ever stayed. Thank you!
And please, don't ever give up on the scent you have in your hotel :) I miss it already.
Es war ein toller Aufenthalt.
Bonne hôtel et belle piscine très propre… petit déjeuner très correct… personnel très gentil… rien à dire de négatif
Excellent room and service . Expensive drinks . Sunday DJ on a bit of an ego trip and excessively loud , noise cancelling headphones probably wouldn’t solve the problem . If I’d booked a room around the pool I’d have been complaining rather more - he needs to be brought into line
A wonderful stay, 5 stars for Chef, but the day of departure ruined everything. Forced check out, with clothes and suitcases taken out of the room while we were enjoying our last cocktail. This way of treating customers makes us never come back! We could not imagine this rude way of treating customers. Shame!
Doch will man die Anlage ohnehin ungern verlassen. Paddle-Tennis und Gym indoor und Outdoor ist auch etwas Besonderes.
The Myrion Beach Resort really is very special, the service, decor, ambience, hotel grounds are all exceptional. On our arrival we were greeted by charming members of staff, in fact everyone working at this hotel were friendly and very hard working. They were always happy to see us and are a huge asset to the hotel.
We were only booked in as B&B however the first night we had our evening meal in the hotel and found the food to be of a very high standard with so many choices. All the food was so fresh, tasty and delicious we ended up eating in the hotel for most of our stay.
We (3 adults) had a 14 night stay in one of the Grand Superior Double hotel rooms which was ideal and spacious. There was never any problem getting our 3 sun loungers together either by the pool or on the beach whatever time we went down.
We could not find any fault with this hotel and will certainly be recommending this to our friends. Hopefully we will be returning as this was just perfect, we have had a wonderful holiday.
Beautiful relaxing hotel. From the minute you arrive your given a special welcome. Rooms are well equipped, modern and spotless, as is everywhere in the hotel and all the grounds. We had a swim up pool but also enjoyed the main pool and beach. Plenty of sunbeds around pool and on the beach.
Food was excellent and always had a varied choice. Staff in restaurant really friendly as were all the staff where ever you went. They all were genuinely so happy to help as was the manager who was always visible and there for both guests and staff. Such a happy team makes a very happy stay.
Grounds were kept beautifully as was the pool area.
Good location for trips out to see the island which is beautiful. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel, so couldn't be anymore convenient.
Thank you to all the staff that made our stay so wonderful. We needed a relaxing break and got that and more. See you all again next year.
Superb resort and great hospitality. A real pleasure and enjoyment!
Also within easy reach of national roads to explore by car beautiful Crete.
From the moment we checked in it was brilliant , we were offered water / Prosecco while also being given a quick tour of the hotel while our bags were loaded onto a golf buggy to be transferred to our room . This hotel was booked as part of my partners birthday present and we got an upgraded to a split level junior suite with pool / sea view which was unbelievable!!!
The breakfast is excellent and the sun longer situation is the best I’ve had at a hotel no matter what time you go to the pool there are always free loungers . The outdoor gym has everything you need and the pool bar in the evening is bliss .
The only downside is the busses but that’s not on the hotel these seem to turn up whenever they want and can have you waiting a while .
The best hotel we have stayed in and will definitely be back!!!!
We are just leaving this lovely hotel . Can't really fault the place, quiet, very clean and well maintained. No sun bed wars, lovely friendly staff. The pool bar is great, and you can order from sunbeds. The sunbeds have huge cushions so very comfortable.
We were here on a B&B basis, and we had a good choice for breakfast.
We ate in the al a carte restaurant on our last night, fantastic food, and can recommend the octopus and Lamb, the wife had sea bass which was also delicious.
The room was very nice, with good air conditioning and a comfortable bed. Only small gripe was lack of wardrobe space and hangers. There is a drawer under the mirror, which means the wife could not sit herself by the mirror to do makeup.
Would I stay again, definitely.
Loved the hotel and all the staff very pleasant and courteous.
Extremely professional and kind staff team with spacious and comfortable room. Facilities clean and sustainable and convenient to pool and beach services. We’ve also use the SPA facilities and treatment was great and staff very welcoming
Great hotel for Adults.
Rooms absolutely spotless.
Just a couple of improvements could make this as close to perfection,
Breakfast absolutely superb with a wide varied choice of. The only thing we found is the coffee was always lukewarm. Also porridge lukewarm.
Mini bar in room had only water , it would be nice to have a better choice without the hassle of room service.
The hotel is a little far out, so if you wanted to experience different restaurants etc, then I would highly recommend a car.
Pool and sunbathing area 5* and a shout out to the lady life guard she’s so friendly and helpful.
Reception are friendly however when we asked at the start of our holiday for a late check out they advised the only way we could secure this was to pay €250. The alternative was to wait until the day of departure. When we enquired on the day of departure they said a late check out was €250. When I explained the above they called us back and we paid €100 for 5 hours.
A wonderful hotel with very helpful, friendly staff. The food at both breakfast and dinner is delicious, with a wide choice. Plenty of sun loungers by the pool and on the beach. There are music programmes at the pool in the evenings. We rented a private pool room which was absolutely worth it, very pleasant after a hot day. Everything was perfect.
We stayed for about a week at the beginning of August. Overall, the stay was pleasant and the property was beautiful. However, there were a few areas of service, design, and experience that could be improved.
We let the hotel know we would be arriving late (midnight) and they very thoughtfully had a snack and bottle of wine waiting for us in the room. Definitely a much appreciated detail.
The core of the property is absolutely beautiful, from the approach down to the pool area and then the great lawn before you get to the beach. It does feel like they have a lot of underutilized space. Even some furniture or really anything on the various patio levels coming down from main building would be good. It just feels very empty in certain spaces.
The room itself was fine but felt designed by someone who has never stayed in a hotel. It was clean and the air-conditioning worked perfectly. One of the biggest issues is that there’s no counter in the bathroom area so there’s no area for a person let alone two to put toiletries. The shower is poorly designed such that the entire bathroom floods when you shower. It doesn’t seem to be a drainage issue, but instead grading. You have to use a towel to keep the water from getting into the room, so then you end up with a soaking wet towel. There's also not anywhere to hang more than one towel. There’s a towel hook next to the shower, but if you’re more than one person, we had to rig up one of the hangers in the closet to hang the other towel. Housekeeping was great every day, promptly cleaning while we were out. We normally wouldn’t have the room serviced every day on vacation, but were kind of forced to due to the shower situation and the lack of places to hang towels.
The room felt like a regular hotel room, fine, but nothing special. We were at least facing the pool side of the hotel. I can’t imagine how miserable it would be to be facing out of the property. One downside was that the grounds crew liked to have their morning chat/cigarette right outside our window, waking us up on the one morning we wanted to sleep in as they hung out there from about 7AM-8AM. We also originally debated getting the next level room, but are glad we didn’t. It seems that the ground level rooms in the first two buildings facing in are some of the better rooms. The more expensive rooms with the long shared pool are overlooked by the main pool area, so we noticed none of those rooms even really used their private pool much. Just something to know if you’re considering booking that for privacy.
Service: back to that bottle of wine we were very nicely gifted, we didn’t finish it the first night, so the next day we called and asked for fresh glasses. They said it would be a room service charge if they brought us clean glasses (have never encountered this before) but that we could go ask at the pool bar. One person at the pool bar said they’re not supposed to give out glasses, but they could give out plastic cups. Another person said they’d “make an exception.” It’s just very little details like these that should be easily manageable and not an issue that dragged down the quality of the property a little. Most properties at this level would have just brought the glasses the first time no questions asked.
Ambiance: when we arrived on Saturday night, we expected at least a little activity in the lobby. Part of the reason to stay at a resort rather than a rental is for the vibe. The lobby was an absolute ghost town, beautiful, but a ghost town. It also seemed a bit odd that the lobby bar was closed at that time, in fact we never saw it open. There also seemed to be next to no one on the property. Yes it was around midnight, but it was a Saturday night. Maybe at least a little music in the lobby would give it a slight vibe. We walked through again the next day at 7pm and it was the same and again on our last full day before going to dinner and same thing.
Pool: The pool area was nice. We were usually able to find two chairs, but there were a couple days that there was no space. This was due in large part to people seemingly leaving their towels or belongings and going off to do other things. The pool towels are on lockdown, again something I see as the sign of a lower grade hotel. You get them from the lifeguard, so the one day the lifeguard wasn’t there, it was self serve and when they were out, they were out. There was also inconsisentcy in terms of if there was someone there to hand out towels, they’d ask your room number; they’d sometimes ask your room number when you return; if no one was there, people would just walk up and take them from the lifeguard stand or throw them in the bucket to return, so it didn’t seem to make any sense to keep track of the room number.
Parking: we did not have an issue parking at the resort. We were very happy to have a car because it felt like you really needed one given the location to be able to fully enjoy the area. It seems like the originally intended parking is along one side of the resort, but that filled up by the evening, so you drive down to another little annex. Again, just a detail, but didn’t really fit with the caliber of hotel. There is a guard house that has to open the gate to enter the property and to exit on the other side. You just pull up and wait. We were never really sure of the correct procedure, and no one ever told us. On our FIFTH day, the guard flagged us down for the first time during our stay after letting us in, to ask our room number, which we gave him. He then FOLLOWED US AROUND THE BUILDING to the parking lot and just watched us. Very off putting. If you’re supposed to stop and provide your room number every time you enter (which would be inconvenient), they should at least tell you this at some point. Or maybe just have it so you buzz yourself in with your key, or issue parking passes. A few hours later when we returned from dinner in the evening, the same guard stopped us, asked our room number, which we gave him, and asked if we were checking in, in that order. The next day, when we came back from our activity during the day, a different guard let us in, came out of the guardhouse, but then waved us on without asking anything. So we’re still not clear on what exactly you’re supposed to do. It’s just that little lack of consistency and clarity that you don’t really want to deal with on vacation.
The gym: I generally try to seek out a hotel like this with a gym. If that’s important to you, this one will be just adequate, but not great. The indoor gym itself along with the spa is in the basement of one of the buildings. You have this beautiful property and then go into a depressing basement for the spa and gym. There were two treadmills (of not great quality) and one elliptical, single cable station, a single adjustable bench and a set of free weights up to 25kg. I was able to get in a few workouts, but once more than two people are in the gym it’s definitely a bit crowded. It would also be great to have a TV or at least a mirror in front of the treadmills so you’re not staring at the wall. The spa attendant confirmed the gym is 24 hours but there’s conflicting information in the hotel’s own materials. On our second day we discovered an outdoor gym area behind the pool bar (would’ve been nice to have been informed about this in some way). It’s a great idea but again poorly executed. They need more equipment because the way it’s arranged if there are multiple people, you’re constantly in each other's way. They should have an attendant, too, or at the very least water along with towels.
Beach: the beach area could definitely use some work to make it a bit nicer. It was fine, but again seemed like a bit of an afterthought.
Most of the issues seem easily fixable, matters of design and training. The actual property did at least seem nicer than other properties in this general area. I would still recommend but with a lot of caveats.
This is one of the best Adults only resort I have visited. Great atmosphere, positive vibes for the ultimate relaxation. The pool area was super cool & cozy. The room was spacious, modern, luxurious with all the amenities needed. Not to mention the great housekeeping service. Food was great also. The staff were professionals but friendly and accommodating. Will come back for sure.
Everything was wonderful. Food, staff, sea, swimming pool!
Fantastisk avslappnings resa!
The hotel was lovely. The staff were friendly and suoer helpful. Had to change our room after the 1st as there was a strange smell but the hotel staff were super helpful in the change whilst we enjoyed the pool. The food was amazing hats off to the chef and his staff and the wait staff. The cleaning lady was super sweet and left our room spotless everyday. The Spa and gym facilites were great and the treatments were reasonably priced. All in all a great saty only spoilt on the last night when some mad drunk women spent the best part of 30 mins screaming and shouting thru the corridor at 2am. Was too tired and relaxed from my massage earlier on in the day to complain. But would highly recommend this place if your looking for somewhere to relax and unwind. Would defo come back but for longer next time maybe 10 days.
Accueil exceptionnel ! Ayant l’habitude de voyager et de séjourner dans de nombreux hôtels, je peux dire que celui-ci se distingue vraiment. L’accueil, le service et la propreté sont irréprochables. Une expérience fantastique du début à la fin.
