Pickup at airport by hotel shuttle was excellent. Staff was friendly and efficient at check-in. The room, while very clean, was quite dated and smelled a bit strange but with the window open was much better. The bed was very nice and comfortable! Unfortunately, there was no hot water in the morning and so I was forced to wash as best I could with cold water. When reported to the front desk they simply said ‘sorry about that’ and that they were trying to get it fixed. No offer of a discount or some other concession, which would typically have been offered by a hospitality-focused hotel. The hot water was fixed by the end of the day and worked fine for the next two days.

All in all, the accommodations were fine so long as expectations aren’t for anything other than a serviceable room.

The hotel is located in close proximity of all sorts of adventures. Access to public transportion is easy from the hotel. The shuttle to and from the airport is frequent. The staff are hard working and kind. Our room was fine, small but sufficient. If you are using the private taxis be sure to confirm the cost before you get in!

The advertising for this hotel is totally false. This was the darkest, dankest, stinkiest hotel I have ever stayed in and I have traveled the world. The beds are awful. We didn’t even bother going in the restaurant because of the smell. The hallway is on the third floor smell like urine. Thermostat in our room did not work. The bathtub had a huge chip out of it. The shower curtain was held on by two screws. The painting in the room was awful. Very sloppy. Don’t go barefoot.

The restaurant had amazing steak.

Property was pleasant. Not upgraded but the bed was comfortable and the van pick up and drop off for the airport was very nice!

This was a pleasant surprise- front desk staff upgraded us to a suite with views of both harbor and mountains when we told them it was my partner’s birthday. All staff were incredibly friendly and kind. Bed was extremely comfortable with lots of pillows and soft sheets. Location is right in the downtown area near all restaurants, shops, and public transit yet quite quiet. Our 3 night stay was excellent! Facility could use an update, but it was absolutely fine for us especially with the spacious room and king sized bed. Smart tv was a plus.

Nice central Sitka location with great harbor views and excellent staff.

OK stay, room was reasonable size, unfortunately we got a room with 2 beds and they are tight fits against walls, not easy for a couple!
Like everywhere in Sitka you start hearing road noise and people from 4am onwards.

Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced directly from the hotel manager Nick Lavender (if that’s even his name). We left my AirPods and White Noise Machine (yes I know it’s on me for leaving them) but when I called the next day and tried to get them back Nick refused to investigate the situation because he said he “trusts”
his staff. Let me be clear. The items were 100% left there and someone took them. There is no other option unless they grew legs and walked away. He said because he didn’t know me, I must be the one lying. When I asked to speak with the owner he said no he would not
allow me to “bug him”. Mind you I was calm and professional the entire conversation. If you don’t want your items stolen DONT STAY HERE
