Super Hotel in toller Lage
Pros:

Das Hotel befindet sich in einer super Lage, viele Shops, Restaurants, Plätze, wo Busse/Metro, etc abfahren im Umkreis. Zimmerupgrade zu Superior mit Jacuzzi-Bad lohnt sich, um nach einem anstrengenden Tag zu entspannen. Frühstück war ok, aber relativ kleine Auswahl. Erwartungen waren mehr als erfüllt, wir kommen gerne wieder!!

Très décevant pour un établissement de cette catégorie de prix !
Pros:

L'emplacement assez central de l'établissement. Chambre assez spacieuse, lits confortables, machine à café et bouilloire dans chambre

Cons:

Personnel peu serviable. Disait ne pas pouvoir garantir une chambre au calme alors que la réservation était faite 5 semaines avant la date du séjour. On a dormi avec des boucles Quies parce que même au 8e étage on entendait le bruit de la circulation intense autour de l'hotel.
La piscine (mise en avant sur le site de l'hôtel et un de nos principaux critères de choix) était fermée sans information préalable.
Le wifi ne fonctionnait pas.

Convenient location but no air con is a big issue for me
Pros:

I liked the location - it was central. Felt safe for the most part during the day but not convinced I would walk alone at night.

I liked the room - it was spacious and it was all very clean.

I liked the rooftop to catch some evening sun.

The lady on check-in upgraded my room so I could be on the same floor as my friend which I appreciated.

Cons:

The room was SO hot. I made a staff member aware at reception and she said that the hotel is set to a temperature and that all I can do is open the window. This was not sufficient. The window only opened a small crack and barely let any air in. I found it very difficult to sleep at night and didn’t have a great night sleep. I stayed out most of the day because the heat was stressing me and making me feel out of breath and panicked.

Upon leaving, a different staff member said that we should have said it and gotten a fan. We did say it but a fan was never offered. For a 4 star hotel it was ridiculous that it didn’t have working air con. This was in April so I can only imagine how hot it gets in the Summer months.

There was no hairdryer in the room which I found strange. There was also no complimentary water which was disappointing. I would have loved to try the spa but they don’t do treatments before 12pm so I would have checked out by then unfortunately.

The pool was not opened when we visited which was disappointing also. It was filled but didn’t seem to be operational.

We were also charging €20 per room of climate resilience tax upon leaving which I don’t have an issue with if it’s compulsory but it would have been nice to be told that before charging the card.

The deposit of €50 again was probably compulsory but is frustrating to have a charge on your card when it’s eating into your spending money. I do know this is common practice though in a lot of hotels.

Pros:

Personale molto gentile e professionale, pulizia stanze, posizione comoda per visitare la città,spa.

Cons:

Solo una piccola difficoltà con i cuscini per noi molto alti forse si potrebbe metterne un secondo più basso per chi ha queste esigenze per il resto tutto perfetto torneremo volentieri

Lovely stay at Melia, good spa and nice breakfast - eveything you need!
Pros:

Hotel is well-presented, easy to find and very clean. Staff all friendly, very helpful. There was a cafe next door which was a nice bonus.
Breakfast was lovely. There could have been a little more choice but everything there was very tasty.
Spa area is very nice. I liked that this was by appointment only (but free) so use of the steam room and sauna was private.
I would also say the hotel is in a pretty good location. Whilst there are other hotels closer to main tourist bits, this hotel is ~15/20mins walk away. Don't pay attention to people complaining about the surrounding area, it really isn't that bad.
We also didn't find the street noise to be an issue at all, from the third floor.

Cons:

As said, there could have been a bit more choice for the breakfast, though what was there was nice.

Mostly a good experience.
Pros:

Convenient location, good breakfast, and amenities.

Cons:

Most staff are very friendly and we extremely helpful. However, couple of experiences with front desk staff made me question their service mindedness. For instance, when checking in the staff did not hand over the key card to me and yet ask me several times if I was sure I didn't get the card. When checking out, I was asked if I was sure I didn't take anything from the Minibar. If they want to be sure, they need to make that trip to the room and figure it for themselves and not interrogate me.

The room didn't have a kettle or disposable bags for disposing feminine hygiene products. When asked, we were told those were only for Supreme plus rooms and not for normal rooms. What next? Toilets only for premium customers?
