I typically leave positive reviews but our one week stay at this hotel left us wondering if there are any quality checks at this hotel at all. Very few of the staff followed covid guidelines, some were straight up rude, and on several days our room was not cleaned by 4pm (we left the hanger on our door). Overall an average 3* stay with indifferent staff vs the 5* they advertise. There was a covid case in the hotel during our stay, we heard this through one of the staff members. When we enquired about further details we were told this was false and repeatedly asked who spread this information. However coincidentally that day they significantly stepped up their covid efforts! Positive is the location of the hotel and rooms are fairly modern. Needless to say we will not return.
Room too small
It is far from a 5 star hotel. Rooms are very small, facilities like gym or business center non existent. Even their tv programs very limited in choice. But the staff are very friendly and supportive and the chef is great.
Clean and fabulous breakfast!
Really lovely hotel, great location, comfortable room, nice breakfast, excellent cleanness, vey polite, helpful an professional staff.
Obviously big thank you for all of the staff members for the memorable stay and I would like to mention one name from the breakfast room, Maria.
Her professional attitude and skills to sort it out any issues was a great experience!!
Thank you Chekhoff Hotel!!
Cosy and clean. Friendly stuff.
BEWARE The hotel doesn't have AC instead they have cooling fans, but they forgot to specify on the website. the room temperature won't go below 77 degrees whatever you try.
when we told the staff about it they relocated us to the room that was 2x times smaller and clearly a downgrade from what we originally booked, however, they refused to reimburse the difference because the new room had 4 windows instead of 2 (I'm not sure how amount of windows reflects the status of the room but staff believes it is)
No parking.
rooms are tiny, food is very average and overpriced. the staff is friendly, just helpless
The room was a bit small but everything else was great. Loved both the food and cocktails at the hotel. Great service!
Nice boutique hotel in the quiet block in the center of Moscow, close to subway and Tverskaya, great breakfast options.
It’s my second time staying at this lovely hotel . Location is superb, stuff is very friendly and helpful. My personal recommendation: shrimp salad.
Wonderful stay, great hotel with ideal location. Rooms a little small but very funky!
Very good price to quality ratio. Good location, clean, modern and quiet.
The hotel is wonderful. However has only very recently opened and was performing some minor work while we were there. They were very considerate and it would not have impacted us had we not checked in early after a red eye flight. Would recommend in all other cases.
excellent choice, excellent location, excellent staff
Excellent intimate atmosphere and charmingly smaller than the usual football field sized reception areas of larger hotels. Rooms & service truly Five star!
Location is fabulous; within walking distance of Red Square and 30 minutes on metro to Tsaritsarino Park!
Hotel was in a great location and staff were very friendly. the hotel was new and staff were experienced, they even insisted to pack me breakfast when I had an early morning check out.
Boutique friendly feel
Good location. Hotel seemed new or recently renovated, very clean and comfortable bed.
The hotel is in a great location. Staff is friendly and helpful. The place is newly and very tastefully remodeled. (Chekhov actually lived here and you can reserve that room) Bathroom and shower are a treat. Only complaint is that rooms are small. We asked for twin beds or to put a cot in the room. We were told there are no twin beds and were charged for a larger room to accommodate the cot. The ‘larger’ room was still very small. All in all - highly recommended noutique hotel. Would definitely stay there again.
Very clean hotel, centrally located.
I was put in a room, where air-con was set to be at 19 Celsius all the time. It would be fine if it was 40 degrees outside, but it was really cold. When I asked for help, I was told, that there was no chance to fix the air-con, no way to turn on the heater.
I asked to give me another room, they did, but never refunded me or compensated in any way. The worse moment was when they wanted to make me feel guilty for the room they gave me.
I think better hotels inn Moscow could be found. As for this one... I don't think I can recommend it to my friends.
