Beach Terrace

We had a great stay for 4 nights! Breakfast was delicious each morning. The front staff and other ancillary staff on site were very friendly and helpful. Easy access to the beach. Walking distance to many restaurants and shops in the village of Carlsbad. Will definitely come back and stay there again.

The staff members were quickly responding and did best for me to enjoy the stay. I am very grateful.

We've stayed here several times and always found the location, staff, facilities and service to be perfect. Very comfortable, large rooms that are well appointed. Overall, quite quiet. We love the fabulous views. Always people watching, looking for dolphin, whales and the various birds. Walking into the Carlsbad village where there are so many choices of restaurants and shopping beats the heck out of moving the car and having to park again. Love it! We'll be back.

The only hotel in Carlsbad on the beach. Large pool also with fire pits. The rooms are very generous in size and have all amenities. Noise in room 22 was not an issue. Ideal for couples or families with children. Parking suggested ($33 a day). Walk easily to Carlsbad Village stores and restaurants. Only a short drive to Flower Fields and Legoland. One of the cleanest hotels we have every stayed at. Hosts are very accommodating.

The location is perfect! We have stayed here at least 4 other times. Noise level from guests in the room above us was terrible. Sounded liken they were playing soccer or training horses. But that's not really the resorts fault. Room had an odor coming from the sink.

My husband and I totally enjoyed our 2 night stay. We love beachfront hotels and this was definitely beachfront. Highly recommend beach view room. We appreciated the clean well maintained room. Gorgeous sunsets! Beautiful atmosphere and kind staff. Free breakfast bites were a lovely surprise and delicious, oh and beautifully displayed. Plenty to choose from.
Our bed was super comfortable and immaculate. This location can't be beat. Great food and shops within walking distance. We will be back, perfect for me and hubby but only wished you had 2 bedroom suites with full kitchens so I could stay forever...lol. 💙

Great location right on beach. Room design is great with plenty of space and good separation of bathroom from bedroom but could use a refresh. Beach amenities are nice but we were a bit surprised that they don’t take the time to rake the small area where they set up chairs/umbrellas to clean up the seaweed etc.

Beach Terrace is our go to place. Intimate and relaxing. On the beach and in Carlsbad Village. Super friendly people. Short walk to shopping, restaurants and the Coaster.

The room was beautiful, big, and confortable. They also have lot of tiny perks and surprises there. All the experience is very well curated. Even the breakfast is simple, but cute and delicious. The beach service and the pool service it's excellent.

We stayed in a poolside cabana room, and it was amazing. The staff was so kind and helpful. The breakfast was perfect, and all of the pool/beach amenities were so wonderful. I wish we could have stayed longer!

Friendly, professional staff who each took care and pride in their work, from housekeeping to concierge services. Very clean facility - even the pool was cleaned daily.
Location right on the beach with the sea breeze, sound of the waves, and quiet with the village a block away. Our room was directly above the pool and even with families, the noise was minimal.
Umbrellas, beach chairs, towels, etc for the beach & pool. Wool surfer ponchos in the rooms & woolen throws near the fire pits. Body and side sleeper pillows available on request. Muffins and coffee in the lobby each morning. They even provided secure storage for our e-bikes!
This was a wonderful getaway for the 2 of us and the families we saw also had a great time.

This beachfront property is truly special. I learned each room was originally an apartment, which explains the generous space and the private balconies overlooking the ocean. Everything is clean, comfortable, and feels genuinely homey.
The hotel features its own pool and fire pits with stunning ocean views, plus private beach access with all the amenities you’d want. Breakfast is included and stands out as healthy, fresh, organic, and high quality.
What really sets this place apart is the hospitality. The staff is incredibly friendly, and you get a very personal, boutique-style experience. With fewer than 50 rooms, the atmosphere feels intimate and relaxed.
Another big plus is the location: it’s within walking distance to Carlsbad Village, with plenty of great restaurants and shops nearby. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful yet convenient beachfront stay.
