We had a great time in this amazing hotel. You can't get any closer to the beach and the views been superb. The room was very spacious and modern Beds been very comfortable and all was very clean and in well thought through. The breakfast ("petit breakfast") was really outstanding and the very best we had on our entire US Roadtrip. The pool area is nice, pool was heated and sunbeds all the time available. There are nice fire pits on the pool for the evening to sit and enjoy. The beach service is unique: you come, tell your need and they set up your chairs, umbrella and what you need. We could not imagine a better hotel for the final relaxing days after our trip.

Breakfast was great . Room and entire hotel was magnificent. It's right on the beach and the pool overlooks the water so it's very relaxing.

Hard working, helpful, friendly staff. Delicious breakfast, location can’t be beat, comfortable bed, large room. Pool area is great, beautiful greenery around hotel. Spacious updated bathroom.

Beach Terrace is located directly on the beach and also has a large pool. My friend and I were able to park right across the street from our room and check-in was easy due to the pleasant and expert staff, who gave us restaurant recommendations. Although we were in the building closer to the street, not the beach, our room faced away from the street and we could see the water from our balcony. We could hear the sea, but not the folks passing our room, as the door is set back into the building and the bathroom is on the street side.

We shared the large bathroom (huge walk-in shower, plenty of counter space and separate toilet stall) and each had a comfortable big bed. Lots of clothing storage, and beach ponchos and towels provided. We had a sitting area with sofa, coffee table, two armchairs and an ottoman, plus a balcony with a comfortable sofa and table. There are coffee- and tea-making supplies in the room, but we just walked the very short distance to the lobby each morning, picked up coffees and a light breakfast and ate on our balcony. The food was good, and creative: a pancake PBJ sandwich, for example! You can also order from an array of hot and cold dishes at an extra charge and have them delivered to your room.

Everything we wanted to do was within reasonable walking distance. We had one of the most amazing and imaginative dinners of our lives at Lilo (book well in advance!), worth the considerable cost. We spent one day just exploring the shops and restaurants of Carlsbad Village, and can recommend lunch at Nick's (don't miss the asparagus fries). On our last full day, we had lunch at Taisho Sushi and dinner at El Barrio, both very good -- and ice cream at Handel's! A wonderful weekend.

Perfect place to be...right on the beach, beautiful rooms and swimming pool with fire pits. They even put out chairs and umbrellas on the beach for you so all you need to do is grab a towel and go!

Beach Terrace was great! Location was right on the beach. At check in we were greeted warmly, staff helped get our bags to the room. We had a pool terrace room that was roomy, fresh and clean. It had it's own seating right outside the door to sit with a glass of wine and read a book. Great continental breakfast that changed every day. It was a blend of fun and healthy food options. Pool was perfect and the beach was clean with plenty of available chairs and umbrellas. We would absolutely stay there again.

Beautiful little hotel with friendly staff and everything you need for a little family beach vacation. We were in California for Disneyland and took the Amtrak down for a few days of relaxation. So many restaurants & shops within walking distance and the beach and pool are so lovely. Really appreciate the beach chairs, umbrellas and sand toys! They made everything easy!

We had the best stay at the Beach Terrace! The service was amazing, beds were comfortable, and location is prime. Right on the beach, with a warm pool, and incredible breakfast every morning. We already want to come back!

Absolutely exceptional experience. Staff was professional and friendly, rooms were lovely and very spacious, beach attendants helpful with chairs and umbrellas, pool was heated and firepits were perfect for the cooler nights. Will definitely book again, within walking distance of everything in the village.
