This hotel has everything you need for comfortable stay. Nice rooms, gym, spa, executive lounge and nice restaurant. Prices are quite high as typically in Iceland.
Vorum ekki í morgunmat. Allt gekk snurðulaust. Herbergið var rúmgott og vel loftræst. Dýnurnar góðar og sváfum vel. Þjónustan snögg og góð.
For its location alone it gets a 5 star rating but it also helps being a very nice hotel!!
The rooms are dated and the Scandinavian duvet set (two singles) takes some getting used to!!
Aside from the dated rooms was very hard to find fault with the hotel:
Location: just outside the City strip (one road) but close enough to walk (10-15mins)
Breakfast: one of the best breakfast offerings catering for all!!
Rooms: Dated, but serve the purpose. Good water pressure and comfy beds.
Tips: any excursion you have make sure you wait outside not in reception as they won’t come inside. I do feel the Hilton should do more to support. Many non English speaking tourists clearly missed their pick ups due to waiting in reception. Drivers for tours don’t wait!!

Great place and people!
It’s overrated for the facilities that they offer. They charged warranty 20.000kr when we arrived 14 February and it’s still today 22 February not released. The hotel needs renovation looks old, the jacuzzi is extra charge, I asked some days before for a birthday cake (with extra charge of course) and they couldn’t provide only some deserts. I bought a cake from a bakery and just called to bring two spoons to the room and they told us to go to the bar and if we want them to deliver to the room it’s also extra charge for two spoons!
My family stayed here on our first night and last night in Iceland. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was wonderful. We arrived early in the morning on the first day and were able to check in early (for a fee). Although it’s not in the heart of Reykjavik, the hotel was perfectly situated for our needs. We went on a three day tour and they held our luggage for us without charge.
The staff here in Reykjavik, Hilton are super accommodating. Manager Saska and front desk staff Antonio are very very responsive and accommodating and have their good command in english language.. Don’t have to worry if you are unable to speak local Icelandic language. The breakfast is ultra generous and worth to spend in every Hilton Hotel.
The homie vibe space of every room in Hilton is internationally standardised designed. With piece of sofa, study/work space , fast internet and fragrant shampoo and soap is worth for your stay.

We've stayed in many Hilton international properties and have never been disappointed. We loved this hotel for the comfortable, well-appointed room, great breakfast buffet, access to the ocean (easy walking distance) and great staff.
I used this hotel as a base for day trips. It was very comfortable, clean, friendly and slightly more up market. My room was the usual big chain type of room and had everything you needed. The room was refreshed daily by the housekeeping staff. Food wise, the breakfast was excellent. Massive choice including some more unexpected items like smoked salmon, smoked lamb and cod liver oil shots! The evening meal menu was perhaps a bit limited in choice but the quality was superb and I would highly recommend it. Every dish was amazing. The communal areas were comfortable with lots of places to sit and relax. There was also an impressive gym plus in house spa. The hotel was not quite in the centre of Reykjavik so a bit of a trek to get to the main city area, but didn't matter because most of the tour companies do hotel pick ups. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.
