Tranquil, luxurious retreat in a former 12th century monastery
Pros:

The property was absolutely stunning. It perfectly preserves the peaceful aura of the former monastery into a modern treasure. The staff was so accommodating and helpful at any given time. Very lovely people in a beautiful location. The hikes around the area are amazing with beautiful waterfalls and Roman ruins.

Göttliche Atmosphäre
Pros:

Schlicht und edel gehaltene Ausstattung, die dem alten, würdevollen Gemäuer und der schönen Parkanlage nicht die Schau stiehlt. Der von Eichen umsäumte ovale, große Pool ist ein Idyll. Sehr schöne Atmosphäre, auch auf der Terrasse. Gutes Frühstück und Abendessen.

Cons:

Die Isolierung des Fensters hat nicht die Verkehrsgeräusche abgeschirmt, dafür war das Fenster jedoch wunderbar groß und bot eine schöne Aussicht. Die Straße durch das kleine Dorf, entlang des Hotels war zum Glück auch nicht stark befahren, insbesondere in der Nacht nicht.

Pros:

Lamentamos ter passado apenas uma noite neste hotel, pois é magnífico em todos os sentidos. Os funcionários são muito atenciosos e acolhedores (um agradecimento especial à Diana, uma jovem rececionista (estagiária?), que nos mostrou o hotel enquanto falava connosco em francês! Muito obrigada mais uma vez, Diana, e muito sucesso na sua carreira). O tempo parece ter parado neste mosteiro, renovado com muito bom gosto e habilidade.

Beautiful scenic location, very well renovated hotel that still managed to keep the historic value and texture.

Cons:

There are not many food options around as it's in a rural location, so you often have to eat at the hotel restaurant. The (included) breakfast was delicious and fresh, but we found the dinner options were a bit overpriced and sometimes lackluster.

Un ancien monastere au service du demain
Pros:

Cet établissement a un vrai charme, ce qui est rare. Le passé est présent, mais c'est parce que l'architecte Eduardo Souto de Moura s'en est occupé. C'est un franc succès de voir cette cohabitation entre un bâtiment du Moyen Âge ayant servi la religion et l'approche d'un grand architecte. La pierre, le bois, le verre et l'art sont en concert pour nous faire vivre une expérience unique à la limite du Parc national de Gérès. L'équipe sur place est formidable. Pour l’équipement des chambres, il faut se préparer à découvrir ce que l’architecte dans les années 90 a trouvé de mieux ; c’est passionnant.

Pros:

Pequeno almoço perfeitamente adequado a este nível de hotel.
A localização muito boa.
Os espaços da pousada e os jardins envolventes são muito relaxantes e muito inseridos na natureza local.

Cons:

Parece-me que o colchão da cama já estava um pouco usado demais, no sentido de que já não acomodava tão bem o corpo.
