Chiang Mai is a city that holds a very special place in my heart. It had been many years since my last visit, and this time I came with the intention of simply relaxing and recharging. Naturally, I chose to stay with an IHG property because I have always trusted the service standards associated with the brand. However, what I experienced during this stay went far beyond my expectations.
From the moment I arrived in the early morning and requested an early check-in, I was warmly welcomed by Ging and Ozone. They provided excellent recognition of my IHG One Rewards membership and made me feel genuinely valued. Ging was exceptionally courteous, professional, and sincere. She patiently explained everything, spoke with warmth and kindness, and did her best to accommodate my room preferences. Ozone, representing the Club InterContinental team, also came to greet me personally and assisted with arranging my room so I could settle in and rest as soon as possible. Together, they created a wonderful first impression. I would also like to acknowledge the bell staffs, who were equally welcoming, helping with my luggage while engaging in friendly conversation that made me feel immediately at home.
During my stay, I had the pleasure of meeting Ozone again at Club InterContinental. His attention to detail was truly remarkable. He remembered my name and personally escorted me to the club for Afternoon Tea service. His hospitality made the experience feel personalized and memorable. I was also very impressed by Toy, who provided outstanding service at the Club InterContinental. He thoughtfully introduced various food and beverage options while sharing recommendations for attractions and local experiences around Chiang Mai. Another team member who deserves special recognition is Fern. Not only did she provide excellent service at the Club InterContinental, but later that evening, around 10 PM, I saw her assisting her colleagues in the lobby during a busy group check-in period. Despite the demanding situation, she maintained her professionalism and delivered exceptional service to every guest.
The team at HONG's Rooftop Bar was equally impressive. Although it rained during my visit, every staff member remained welcoming and attentive. They quickly arranged comfortable seating at the bar and professionally recommended beverages, ensuring that the experience remained enjoyable despite the weather.
The housekeeping team also deserves recognition. Every member I encountered greeted me with a warm smile and a traditional Thai wai, consistently asking whether there was anything else I needed throughout my stay. Their genuine hospitality added another layer of comfort to the experience.
At breakfast, the restaurant staff demonstrated remarkable attention to detail. They recommended the Northern Thai breakfast set featuring Nam Prik Noom and Sai Ua, which turned out to be absolutely delicious and became one of the highlights of my culinary experience during the trip.
When it was time to check out, Sarah handled the process with great efficiency and warmth. Beyond simply completing the formalities, she took the time to ask about my onward travel plans and offered thoughtful recommendations for places and experiences that could further enrich my journey in Chiang Mai.
Looking back, what impressed me most was undoubtedly the people. I firmly believe that such consistently excellent service comes not only from strong training and leadership within the hotel but also from the genuine service mindset of each individual team member. Their dedication, professionalism, and passion for hospitality were evident in every interaction. Together, they contribute immense value to this wonderful property.
This stay made my trip to Chiang Mai exceptionally memorable.
For me, Chiang Mai has always been a place to recharge, heal, and find peace whenever I need it. Yet this visit felt like a recharge on an entirely different level. Even though I stayed for only one night, the warmth and hospitality I received will remain with me for a long time. I sincerely hope to return to this hotel on my next visit to Chiang Mai, and I look forward to experiencing its exceptional hospitality once again.

We had an amazing 8-night stay here. Mr. Brian the doorman was helpful and friendly. Miss Fai, the receptionist, was kind and welcoming. I was impressed by the excellent service and hospitality provided by all the hotel staff.

Stayed at InterContinental Chiang Mai The Mae Ping in early May in a Club InterContinental room and had a very pleasant experience overall. The room had a lovely view and was comfortable, well maintained, and relaxing throughout the stay.
One of the highlights was definitely the service. Housekeeping was excellent — the room was always kept spotless and very well presented. Staff throughout the hotel were warm, attentive, and professional, making the stay feel smooth and welcoming from start to finish.
Breakfast at the Club InterContinental Lounge was very good with a nice selection and attentive service throughout. The lounge team was especially friendly and proactive, always ensuring guests were well looked after.
Overall, a very enjoyable stay in Chiang Mai with excellent hospitality and service standards that made the experience memorable.
The place is fantastic, and Brian is very friendly, he gave us a room tour and told us some places to visit just nearby.

Had a lovely time at the Intercontinental. We booked the hot tub room which was great and the Mountain View room. Location was convenient and breakfast was really good with many options. Staff were all so kind, especially Brian! He helped us with so many parts of our trip and had great recommendations. We will miss him dearly!
