Hammamet Garden Resort and Spa

A group of us went 29th August for two weeks and will definitely be going back.
I can’t comment on food as I’m a fussy eater but nobody complained and my 11 year old loved trying new things I stuck to salad chips and watermelon. The staff were brilliant locked myself out a few times but the lady at the desk helped every time in a friendly manner I was worried about annoying her. On site they have a tattoo place he’s brilliant a few of us got one as a memory and henna for kids which my daughter loved. I highly recommend the spa they are brilliant a few of us went in more than once. The animation team were great always trying to include everyone we had an amazing time with them and the pool foam party loved it. There’s a photographer he’s lovely and good at what he does he even sent me some I didn’t pay for when I got home thank you so much. Saleem was a great help with day trips he became a friend he won’t let anyone rip you off either lovely man. All in all we had the best holiday at this hotel thank you so much we will be back soon

Female travellers of ANY age - Please beware of the Animation team at this hotel.

They are so friendly and lure you in. They ask to exchange details and keep in touch. They say they want relationships with you but they are scamming multiple girls who end up sending them money after their holiday. I have uncovered this in the last 3 months.

Note I have not sent money to anyone but have evidence of this happening.

They are all doing this and they all know each other are doing it.

I had a lovely holiday in Tunisia it is a beautiful country with lots of beautiful people but this is what is going on in this hotel with Animation!

I would like to write a few lines about our stay at your hotel. We really liked the rooms, the food was also very good, the pool was pleasant, and the garden around the hotel was beautifully maintained.

However, I would also like to mention some negative aspects that made our vacation less enjoyable. The staff at the lobby bar were very unpleasant and unhelpful. We also witnessed what seemed to be the hotel manager speaking to the hotel employees or the animation team. I speak a little Arabic, and his behavior was very rude and unprofessional. When he walked past us, he didn’t even greet us — something we truly did not expect from the hotel management.

I would like to say that we had a pleasant stay mainly thanks to the animation team, who took care of us and entertained us — especially Luca and Rayen a very kind and helpful persons. We would also like to sincerely thank Helmi, an excellent bartender and a cheerful person, and Sonya at the reception, who was very kind and accommodating!

All the more, we are sorry that we witnessed such behavior towards the staff from the hotel management.

* Beware of positive reviews staff take photos with you and then ask to post a positive review so they can get a pay rise.
* The hotel doesn't deserve a 4-star rating.
* Love Holidays doesn't have a representative, despite claims from MTS transfers. A guy came to the hotel saying he was from love holidays pushing trips and excursions.
* Management was unhelpful and walked away from complaints, when showed photograph evidence then asked for the pictures to be deleted.
* It took 5 hours to check in, when we requested via email prior for early check in.
* The rooms were not like the pictures when the holiday was booked.
* WiFi is only available in the lobby or bar area. People was sat outside rooms on chairs using phones.
* The hotel was emailed prior to arrival to request a cot, connecting room, and early check-in, which was agreed and confirmed and was not received when we arrived.
* Upon arrival at 11:30 am, four different rooms were shown, all of which had not been cleaned.
* The top floor was unsuitable for a 2-year-old due to a low balcony, was not a connecting room, and was filthy.
* The ground floor room was appalling and filthy and clearly had not been cleaned for a long time.
* The rooms first offered were split between the top floor and the ground floor and the floors was soaking wet.
* There was rust all over the shower and mirror.
* The fridge was dirty and broken.
* There was black mold in the bathroom and a black, dirty shower curtain.
* Complaints to the hotel management were ignored it was difficult to see the actual manager of the hotel.
* We was shown several unacceptable and filthy rooms were shown upon arrival.
* The ground floor room was filthy and hadn't been cleaned in a long time.
* Only 2 rooms were provided to our party of 10 after 5 hours, despite booking 3.
* The first cot arrived on the 3rd night and was not safe. The next day at 10pm we received another cot which was also unsafe and not a suitable height for the age of the child.
* The baby fell out of the cot and had to be taken to the medical center bust her lip and nose.
* Male entertainment team members made sexual advances to young teenage girls. We made complaints and the staff are still working.
* Staff from fruit stand constantly trying to kiss young baby and pull her out of her pram while she was strapped in after being told multiple times no and took pictures of her.
* Staff members drink on the job.
* One animation team member was sacked for being drunk and face planted to floor infront of my teenage children.
* There's a high turnover of animation team members, 1st week was full of activities 2nd week went downhill due to lack of animation staff.
* Cockroaches were found dead in the swimming pool.
* Our party experienced stomach upsets.
* The swimming pools are not cleaned properly and were cloudy.
* There was poo in the pool on the first day.
* The rooms were still not up to standard we just had to make do with no help from love holidays.
* The dining room is chaotic, with pushing and shoving for unappealing food.
* There were incidents of Algerian men fighting with waiter staff in front of children in the middle of dining hall. Staff let them stay and finish the meal.
* Algerians receive preferential treatment over English guests.
* The hotel is full of young Algerian men preying on young females and starting fights with young lads.
* Children were targeted in the pool, pushing and shoving young children under water, lifeguard on duty didn't care to get involved after complaining to them.
* Toilets downstairs are unsafe, with children getting locked inside staff took ages to help them get out of the toilets.
* The toilets are disgusting, filthy, and have cockroaches falling from the ceiling.
* The hotel does not accept cards and directs guests to take a taxi to a cash machine. Exchange in the hotel never had any money to change and told to come back later.
* Only a handful of staff members are helpful.
*Beach is not as advertised and the shuttle hardly works the walk to the beach is derelict and stinks of sewers.
Still awaiting a response from complaints to love holidays.

The hotel is dirty , our bathroom had a hole in the floor so whenever we showered water came up through the hole and flooded our bathroom and we couldn’t even take a bath since there was a hole in it . There was no proper entertainment as we were told there was going to be , the sun loungers were dirty and had cracks in them. I was took up to the slides and the slides weren’t even running and I was told to wait up there , I was waiting for ages and they tried splitting up me and my family im unsure of why but it gave me a very uneasy feeling and I was very uncomfortable. We payed quite a bit of money for 4 of us to have a spa day here and it was very dirty with peoples dead skin on the bed they expected us to lay on and they was time waisting a lot. There was also supposed to be a night club in the hotel but was closed the whole time we were here and my mum was given a glass of wine and there was chunk missing out of the glass and she then cut her lip on it, overall the experience we had at this hotel was disgusting and it is not worth coming here.

Good looking hotel. No enterteinment in September, which was dissapointing, but the spa session was great. I recommend that. A lot of extra amazing activities. Had some small issues with the room, but sorted after talking at the reception. Food not so great.

We had read the bad reviews , but we decided to go with it. As some people write unfair reviews.
We arrived at 4 am after a long delay. There was no water or a snack. Wasn’t even showed to our room. Charged £85 in room tax. Which was the first time of many we were scammed.
The room was large and pleasant enough. Until we wanted a shower. Then the whole room flooded. I blamed my daughter. But then realised it was coming up from the floor.
No one seems to care less. The inside areas are clean enough. And the food is ok. We didn’t starve.
But repetitive.
Bar service was shocking. Sometimes waiting 20 mins for someone to show up. I get it is late in the season. But we still are paying guests !!
The pool area is just filthy. As are the toilets. And we never actually worked out how to get to the beach. The bar was shut there. We walked down but it was empty and we felt very uncomfortable.
We were sold a spa day. £65 , 250 dinar. It was disgustingly dirty. Felt very awkward. Just left for large amounts of time. Ended up with a 20 min massage. Not even offered the pool.
At the Médina men are there waiting to say they are the cook from your hotel. And they will offer to take you to their family shop. Where they will try to sell you things for 400 times more than they are.
Apparently it’s Black Friday !!
When you refuse they say you are rude.
Dare not even look at an item in a shop without being seriously harrassed.
I think there are a lot nicer hotels for the same money. Definitely if you can , go for 5 stars.
It was a good price holiday for me and my children. I am a single mum who works 3 jobs for us to afford to go on holiday. But I can honestly say I would not return to this hotel.

If your looking to stay here… DONT. It will ruin your experience of Tunisia. My family save up all year for a nice holiday for us all and it’s appalling for what we’ve had to spend a week of. The foods ok until it isnt and it’s the same horrible stuff only so much you can live off. The drinks round the bar out of the machine are never working ( that’s after you’ve waited 20 mins to get served because the bar tender has decided to take a break whenever they like ) , and when they do have drinks it’s out of a bottle which has been open all day and flat. There is absolutely no entertainment whatsoever and when they try rob you into booking there excursions do not do them. Half of the things you’ve paid for don’t actually happen. The hotel is rotten dirty, none of the towels are clean with stains all over them; the pool area looks like it’s never seen a clean in its life let alone the rest of the hotel. Any time you had a shower it flooded our hotel room due to holes in the bath. The place is infested with flies. If you was to stay in a genuine 5 star I think your experience of Tunisia would genuinely be a lot more better. The last couple days we ate out and experience Tunisia which made us enjoy our holiday a little bit more. But when you go into the shops the men try scam you so bad so just be aware everyone’s in on it. I will never be visiting Tunisia again let alone come back to this hotel. I’ve been I’ll ever since I got here and I genuinely think that’s down to the cleanliness of this hell hole. Hotel horror. So if you have this booked and think oh she’s just being a ‘karen’ I am certainly not I’ve been to a few places that need to be run a bit better need a little improving but, I’ve never been to such a poorly run hotel in my entire life. Oh and by the way if you want a cushion to lie down on your cracked dirty Sunbed you have to go get it yourself even though there’s pool men there to do that job for you they sit and watch you struggle. This hotel was a complete waste of money and I am so so disappointed. Oh and how could I forget do not book the spa!!! It is absolutely filthy and one thing they love doing here is time wasting you pay all that money for a quick in and out massage but they leave you waiting for hour and make that part of your time. An absolute state of a hotel I will never be returning. The only positive thing is your animation team.

Our review has been based on our entire stay. Firstly start with the good the entertainment boys WOW you all work so hard and made sure you had the whole crowd involved and everyday worked long days. Secondly the amazing 3 day spa treatments we booked they couldn’t have done a better job for the price. The cleaners and staff work so hard but sadly for us the one thing that has let the place down is the food area the tables were filthy and thankfully I took antibacterial wipes to clean our area each time. Flies everywhere due to the hygiene of the food area in doors and out. Food was all inclusive and I’ve had worse so can’t complain. And the alcohol did the job.

Just back from 1 week all inclusive with friends. My first impression from check in was very disappointed as they didn't have rooms and had to wait 5 hours. Staff very rude and no one wanted to help us. Kept sending us to bar for drinks to keep us happy.

As we were going around the hotel we had noticed it was very dirty & unkept looking. Cleaning standards not as high as should expect from a 4 star. Corridors had no lighting and very bad smell coming from the carpets. Staircases was dirty and spillages on them. (Health & safety) no wet floor signs to be seen.

Finally got rooms which were very dated & no air conditioning, broken hair dryer etc. 😬 was just glad to have had got out of clothes & unpacked.

At meal times the place was like a zoo 🫣 people just pushing past to get to the food. Not enough plates or cutlery for everyone. (Total shambles) rude people & staff didn't understand our language.

Public toilets only 6 for full hotel was a absolute joke. Toilets were disgusting 🫣 poo & urine everywhere 😑 had to use my room Toilet most of the week.

Pool area had never been cleaned as was all fag's end & dirty nappies etc all round floor. Sun loungers not cleaned had to do it myself. Not a cleaner in sight. Shocking standards.

Drinks weren't poured from a bottle not even cold. Water either. In tat heat 🥵 no ice etc. Had to pay from shop for cold water & drinks. Unacceptable!!

My friend had a accident on the slides and no one had a first aid kit 😐 waited 24 hrs for a bandage. Total shambles 😫

Animation team were excellent 👌 Adam, Wullie,Luka. Made our holiday. Very friendly & made us feel better so we had a great time, Some good laughs with the team. Thank you guys 😊 🫶😉

Please boycot this hotel. I will never return.

This has probably been one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. The toilets by the pool are disgusting - bar staff are quite rude unless you tip them. The food is horrific. The fridge in the room was leaking, ants on the floor. People serving the food are so rude. Overall I don’t think I have ever seen such a state of a hotel in all honesty. The star rating is definitely not a 3 star, a 2 star at a push. The pool was dirty, all in all everything was disgusting and I would not recommend at all.

Struttura accogliente. Secondo me da migliore nel parcheggio auto. Ci sono state troppe richieste e i parcheggi auto molto pochi.

Just back from one week stay in this hostel !!
This hotel was very disappointing from the start. Our booking wasn’t on their system, and it took over 4 hours before we were finally given a room. The hotel itself feels extremely dated – the hallways are dark and unwelcoming, almost like something out of a horror film.

One of my group had a bad accident on the slides not one staff member offered 1st aid. Had to wait 24 hours for a 1st aid kit. And had to wait till we were home to be seen at the hospital total joke.

The restaurant was overcrowded and poorly managed, with not enough tables, plates, or staff. We often felt ignored when trying to get food or help, almost as if we weren’t there. If you’re not dressed in the way many other guests are, you may find yourself treated differently, which made the stay very uncomfortable.

The pool area is never cleaned all week never seen one cleaner. The fag ends left around the pool no bins either sun loungers where never cleaned had to do them your self . Was that bad I binned my towels

The toilets were also very unkept and not cleaned to a standard you’d expect from any hotel. The only positive part of the stay was the entertainment especially Luca, Willy, Adam and bar team, who were genuinely friendly and welcoming.one barman can be a little creepy goes by the name of Mo seems to thinks he’s god gift to young girls !!
If it wasn’t for the animation team I would have cut my holiday short and returned home

Unfortunately, everything else was a let-down. I would not recommend this hotel at all – in my opinion, it’s more like a -1 star experience.

This hotel has put me off to ever return to Tunisia!!!

Entertainment team are absolutely brilliant on all levels the kids love them the adults love them but Adam my curly haired brown eyed boy I love ❤️

The entertainment team were amazing specially Adam and mino, very caring chatty and entertaining and also very encouraging to join in with activities, truly are the best.

Good cocktail guy called mo (Muhammad). Very friendly always smiling, always go above and beyond we stayed here 5th September 2025 and still here till 15th September.
