Pros:

It was a beautiful central hotel. Modern clean staff helpful. Stayed in a marina view room so so worth the extra. Breakfast was fantastic and a big shout out the piano man who played molly malone and as we were irish it was nice. Used the indoor pool and sauna very relaxing. Can't wait to return soon again.

I expected more.
Pros:

It is across from the marina, old city and near the train station marina. The food at the Adaō restaurant was fantastic.

Cons:

Undergoing renovations, so pool, restaurant and other services were not available. It was understaffed. Jacuzzi not working either. No coffeemaker, just a kettle and instant coffee in the room. I expect more from a 4 star hotel.

Superbe séjour de 4 nuits
Pros:

L’emplacement, la serviabilité du personnel, le petit déjeuner au 5e étage avec vue exceptionnelle sur le port et la Ria Formosa, la grande variété du petit déjeuner avec pianiste, les chambres étaient très bien équipées

Cons:

La chambre pourrait être un peu plus propre et les chambres donnant sur la rue sont un peu bruyantes mais nous avons quand même très bien dormi

Boa localização, mas instalações e serviço apenas razoáveis

A localização é bem interessante.

Cons:

O hotel não conta de fato com estacionamento, tem apenas algumas poucas vagas reservadas na rua, em número claramente insuficiente para o porte do hotel.
A limpeza deixou a desejar, em particular no restaurante. Vimos louças, talheres e copos sujos, claramente mal lavados.
O ar condicionado quente do nosso quarto não estava funcionando. Reclamamos na recepção, a pessoa que nos atendeu foi bastante solicita, mas não pode resolver o problema, oferecendo um aquecedor elétrico.

Cons:

I really really cannot recommend this hotel. The location is good, but that is the only positive point we encountered. The reception staff is not so friendly and you are not greeted neither welcomed when you enter. You are ignored until the staff chooses to greet you.

First big problem is that the smell of sewage in our room was unbearable.
Secondary, you might want to catch some sun during your stay in Faro but not in this hotel. For some reason the sundeck is closed and you can just enviously watch the neighbouring hotel residents chilling out on their roofdeck. We didn't get any information about this during reservation, you only know that the pool and deck is closed when it is too late.

There might be some complimentary drinks in the lobby but they are not offered or presented in any way.

This hotel makes you feel that you are not so welcome and it feels that they dont want you here. Overall the price and quality ratio is poor. If you pay over 200€/night it really shouldnt be like this.

Estadia simples e sem história
Pros:

Pequeno almoço bom numa sala com uma vista de sonho, com ovos estrelados feitos na hora. Boa fruta, pão, café expresso e serviço muito simpático. Localização excelente, mesmo no centro e quartos renovados e bem insonorizados e no nosso caso com uma vista espetacular para a marina , ria e cidade.

Cons:

Um tratamento bastante impessoal na receção. Não estão ali para agradar mas para cumprir. É um tipo de tratamento que se espera em unidades de duas estrelas não familiares. Mas aqui os preços são perto de 200 euros a noite e espera-se mais para agradar o cliente. Quartos pequenos e casa de banho ainda mais pequena.

Nice stay which worked well as a base for exploring.
Pros:

It is in a great position for exploring the old town and marina and is right down the road from the bus and train stations. The staff were mostly all very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was great.

Cons:

We booked this property for the spa but were disappointed with the cold temperature of the indoor pool. The jacuzzi wouldn’t work and was reported by us and at least one other lady but no one came to look at it. It was by chance we pressed the emergency stop button which fortunately reset it. It is part of the main pool so really cold.

The hotel was nice and we’re pleased we went but it just lacked a bit of the ‘luxury’ feel you’d expect from a four star, especially in the rooms. Being under the restaurant meant the lovely pianist (when up there) put stop to any lie ins.
