Passabile
Pros:

Pros:

Bed was comfortable and it was a good location. The apartment had a washer and small kitchen and the sitting area was nice. Great shower. These things not found in regular hotel room. Located next to river and town. Walk on the river is nice.

Cons:

To get to 2nd floor of the apartment you had to climb a very tight spiral staircase which is difficult with luggage. No place to set things near bathroom sink. Regular hotel rooms are in a bldg with no elevator. Shower here is extremely small in these rooms.

Pros:

Great location but dated property!
Pros:

Great location and easy to walk into Inverness!

Cons:

Our first room was over the restaurant (room 3) and was very noisy at midnight as the cleaner was moving tables and hoovering until 1am. Avoid that room if you can! We were moved to room 9 which was much better!

Always a warm welcome!
Pros:

We love the warm welcome at the Glenmoriston. The staff are always fab. Great rooms, parking and location. Love living locally and being able to enjoy a value for money overnight for a show at Eden Court just across the water (before/after peak season).

Subpar 4 star hotel
Pros:

The receptionist was very friendly and helpful

Cons:

The rooms had slanted ceilings, sound insulation was virtually non existant, and the shower was way too small. It was impossible to shower without hitting yourself multiple times.

Group tour along the NC 500
Pros:

The location of the hotel is excellent, overlooking the river and set in the lovely city of Inverness.
We chose a “river view” room, which was extremely comfortable, well appointed and extremely roomy.
The food and service was very good indeed.
I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Glenmoriston again, but with one caveat.
The hotel itself is split into 2 buildings.
We stayed at the main building which was fine.
However, part of our group stayed in a separate building located across the car park.
This building is used for functions, and without being pre advised, there was a party in the function room which concluded just before midnight, which curtailed a decent nights sleep.
In future, if I was booking, I would check which building I would be staying in and if not in the main building would want details of any possible functions.
A very good hotel, but please note the above when booking.
