Great stay, historic and comfy!
Pros:

It’s the oldest hotel in Italy! Truly gorgeous and historic. A great stay! Breakfast was delicious and the staff so nice. Very close to everything in Pisa! A short walk away to the tower or station or the main streets. Great restaurants right behind the hotel as well. Would come back!

Cons:

The plumbing is old fashioned but it can’t be helped. It is the oldest hotel in Italy! Still loved it though.

Such an interesting hotel. Really enjoyed our stay.
Pros:

The view was amazing of the river. The staff were superb- very friendly both in reception and particularly at breakfast. We stayed for the Pisa Half marathon- the breakfast staff on Sunday were amazingly kind and helpful.

We seem to have been lucky with both hot water and Air conditioning!

Cons:

The hotel is located on the river. This is a historic hotel so does not have good sound proofing. There are lots of restaurants near by with a later opening at weekend. I accept this but think some people might need ti have a lie in instead of an early night.

Mixed feelings
Pros:

I love the high ceilings, the hugeness of the room and the view over the river and Ponte Mezzo. The location is perfect and the staff were lovely and ready to help especially the receptionist on the nigjt shift. The vibe of old building is everywhere and most of the furnishings seem original.

Cons:

First of all the bathroom was like from a different movie and a bad one, unfortunately. The shower cabin is way too small when in fact a bigger one could easily be installed, the button flushing the toilet worked when it wanted, not when pushed and the lighting in the bathroom is insufficient. The other thing that made me not love the stay was the very soft mattress in my bed as opposed to the other twin bed in the room. The iron bed even though very beautiful, unfortunately squeaked at every move and the mattress was less wide than the bed itself.
I honestly love hotels in super-old buildings this being the reason I booked this one. However the bad lighting and bad-functioning flushing system in the bathroom, the wardrobe which was almost desintegrating when opening the door, the uncomfortable bed and the extremely small shower cabin inside a huge bathroom showed a general lack of attention to the details that make or break the guest's experience. Old bulding bones and history can co-exist with modern comfort, but not here, unfortunately, and it's such a shame because it really is a gorgeous building with a top-position on the map.

Nous avons aimé le parking abrité dans la cour intérieur de l’hôtel On a l’impression de remonter le temps et de vivre dans un musée Chaque petit salon est meublé avec soin les chambres sont grandes la vue sur le fleuve est superbe

Está bastante céntrico, me pareció un hotel súper bonito (a pesar de que sus instalaciones estuvieran “viejas”)
