If we knew the noise from the street, we didn't choose the hotel.
Pros:

Location is good, right between the station and the Pisa Tower. both way 10 or 12 minutes walk.
Staff were very friendly, and answered our questions very well.
The hotel has lots of characters with old items, and pianos on the landing.

Cons:

Unfortunately, the noise from the side street was constant until 1pm when the bar was closed, then the staff empties the dustbin full of bottles, so noisy. Finally fell asleep around 3pm. Me and my friend had a twin room, and it was unfortunate we were allocated at the bad side of the hotel. My other friends had a room at the opposite side of the building and it seemed not as noisy as my room.
TV had no signal unfortunately.
It seemed they had staff shortage for breakfast, when we arrived, there were no plates available, and not much food left until finally they brough in, by then we had to leave to check-out.

Una bella esperienza
Pros:

Inoltre sarebbero state apprezzate delle ciabattine.

Cons:

Uns hat alles gefallen

Horribly amazing centre of art history and pure joy !!!
Pros:

Oh the joy of experiencing a classic hotel that has been such since yr 1050 ish !!! The ancient and beautiful hand painted decor on the walls and ceilings are something to behold.. !!... Just think about the artistic skill involved ? Then the abundant portraits from the late 1800's that at first impression resemble photos.. But.. on closer inspection they are paintings !!!.... Will take me a lifetime of revisits to take it all in as every room on every floor is adorned with art, antiques, culture, history which you will never experience anywhere else.. Simply unique !

And then there is the joy of looking out onto the Arno .... Watching the young and old out on the streets chatting, making vibrant noise echoing all throughout this ancient city till the early hours of the morning.... So encouraging that they are not all infront of phones and computers, but are actually vociferously engaging in human talkative interactions..

For those that moan about noise in ancient Italian city centres till the early hours, I can only suggest you find somewhere outside city centres.. This is ITALY ! or not ?

Oh and that classic petrol motor bicycle !!!! Would love to give it a go !

Will update further after my next stay !
