Great location, friendly staff, comfortable rooms and fantastic breakfast!
Pros:

Hotel location was great for work in Port Louis, while still feeling like a vacation spot. Staff were friendly and food was good. Facilities were great too. Free parking on site and attentive front desk made things a lot more comfortable.

Cons:

The ferry stopped running early most nights, and alternatives to eating at the hotel are all across the canal, there was a replacement shuttle, but pickup on the other end was slow. Arriving early for breakfast often meant warmers were not on yet and food was cold. Drinks are very over-priced compared to the meals at the hotel - e.g. €8 for a 500ml bottle of Coke Zero, while meals were in-line with restaurants close by. Some minor maintenance issues being attended to could really improve the overall quality of the hotel. Wi-fi was just OK, could definitely do with improvement.

Fabulous upgrade
Pros:

Actually the hotel, Le Suffren Hotel & Marina was overbooked, we were sent to a sister property, Labourdonnais Waterfront Hotel. The sister property was fabulous. Our upgraded room had a balony that faced the water - just lovely. The breakfast was tremdous - better than we normally have with all inclusive breakfast options.

Cons:

It rained - can't blame the property for that.

The staff and the food were nice. The mould issues conteract anything positive though and I probably wouldn’t stay here
Pros:

Location was convenient. Breakfast buffet was good. Hammam and pool in the spa were nice.

Cons:

The mould smell. You could tell from the heavily fragrance hallway it was an on going issue. Every time we returned to our room the mould smell was really evident. Shower was mouldy and felt unclean too. Outdoor pool was under maintenance with no notice.

Excellent experience and service.
Pros:

The staff is outstanding and extremely supportive. In particular, Mutten from the reception and Manuella, the housekeeper, are dedicated to their work beyond what is expected.

Cons:

The ambiance of the room appears to be dusty and filled with a stale odor.

angenehmes Hotel in der Stadt
Pros:

Das Hotel liegt perfekt, wenn man die Stadt mit ihren Sehenwürdigkeiten ansehen möchte. Mit einem kurzen Transfer auf dem Shuttleboot kann man zu Fuß in die Stadt. Am Haus selbst hat man ein kleines Strandfeeling

Cons:

This hotel is very old and dirty. They definitely don't care about their customers. The rooms are old and smell of dampness. They serve fruit that should be thrown away at breakfast. We couldn't find anything to eat at breakfast, and the staff, especially the head waiter at breakfast, were very aggressive. I will never stay at this hotel again.

Beautiful Mauritius and the Hotel
Pros:

It was my first visit to Mauritius, and it was only for two days - I wish I could have stayed longer! The hotel is very nice, clean, and tastefully designed. The staff are friendly, kind, and helpful; nobody is fishing for tips, and everything is done with respect and dignity. The breakfast was also very nice.
