The facility was very clean, and most of the staff was exceptional . The breakfast was excellent, and the coffee was great. Also perfect gym and pool
My room was not as clean as it could have been, and there was a bug in the bed the morning we left, but I didn't report it. There were issues with the elevators that happened in the morning but were not fixed until sometime in the evening. Thus, we had to carry heavy luggage up and down the stairs.
The room itself beautiful, well kept and clean bedding.
The showers were dirty in some places there was mold. The toilet top wasn't completely flush to the toilet and again mold.
Front desk 'young female"-horrible! Still waiting to understand what "People Like you" means. Since she said they put us all on the top floor. I requested a quiet, top floor room, early arrival. DO NOT pay the $15 fee for noon arrival. It is non-refundable, available or not. Arrived at noon was told no Top floors available try back maybe at 3:00. She said she would call, did not I found out room was ready when charge appeared on my Credit Card. And for more than my room. Arrived and she still did not know my room was ready, even tho the email that finally showed up saying room was ready showed room #512 was ready. Frig. in room 512 is extremely noisy, gave recording to staff as I left. She ask did I tell them this "before" I checked in????? No, I did not know it was noisy! Hwy noise is extremely loud, and was placed right next to Elevator. Not sure where this quiet room comes into play with this. The ceiling in the bathroom in 2 different places showed MOLD, was covered with paint. Dark room, very small closet, It may be bigger but nothing to do in it. Noisy A/C unit, was set on 70 when I arrived, I thought that was too cold, if you turn to 71 gets very hot. Is not consistent with temp. Goes from warm to very cold. Elderly woman was sitting in wheelchair at breakfast bar with head on table, husband was outside smoking. The smoking is in the entrance of the hotel. Nice little bench and all in breeze way, not what I want to smell as I come in or out. He finally came back in and got her. Fussing and fighting the whole time. In the meantime she sat there while all the other persons where trying to get breakfast and had to walk around her. Where was management and why was she not asked to move into the seating area? Not sanitary. I will never stay at this location again!!!!! It is not 5 star, by any means. Oh and don't forger the screaming kids from the pool. One night of misery, I cancelled the second night within a hour of getting in the room. Broke down car in parking lot with busted out drivers window when arrived with red tarp on it, was still there when I left. Bad business and made me feel unsafe upon driving up. Pictures will not upload.
The staff were very friendly, polite, and very informative. The room was spacious and very clean. It was such a quiet stay, not noisy, or appear to be overcrowded. The Hyatt was I'm walking distance to restaurants, with Texas Roadhouse being right next door to yhe hotel. Conveniently located to Columbus State since we were there for my son's orientation, it was great as well.
I would have love for there to have been a microwave in the room so we could have reheated our take out meals. Plus with the room being the size it was, it would have been nice to have 2 tvs. One in the seating area and the other in the sleeping area.
The location was close to everything I needed for my stay.
There was nothing to not like.
Bed was very comfortable. Room was spacious. It was very quiet even though the hotel appeared to be completely booked with lots of movement in hallways.
Ice machines only on floors 1,3 &5. No ice machine on my floor. No toilet tissue in opublic guest bathroom on first floor at 8:00 a.m. (during breakfast). One elevator was sporadically out of service with the hotel packed with softball tournament players in addition to the many other guests.
